This unit replaced our older unit that was 24 years old and still working. We replaced our range and refrigerator so we wanted matching colors. I have been happy with GE products in the past so I stayed with them. This microwave fit perfectly into the space of the older unit.

GE microwave was a replacement for its GE predecessor, which gave out after 16 years. The dark enamel interior makes cleanups easy. I really like the filter clean, replace remind her on the control panel, and the steam clean feature. The stainless steel exterior front is a nice match with my other GE appliances. I am a home inspector and recommend GE appliances to any customers who ask.

I’m very disappointed at the poor quality of workmanship, the door to microwave is out of line and the glitch really stands out as an eyesore against our dark kitchen cabinets. The power is advertised as 1000 Watts, or about 9% less than our old 1100 watt unit. Unfortunately it takes 50% longer to boil a cup of water- 3 min vs 2 with old microwave. Paid extra for 4 speed fan, hard to tell if it makes any difference over 3 speed we had.
