Got these for our new kitchen. They look and...
Got these for our new kitchen. They look and work great! We hard wired all of them to the old garbage disposal switch so they are all on the same circuit. I did purchase additional / longer cables from the website that's listed on the box, as well as a couple of the converter boxes (also from the same website). The electrician was able to use them so for him it was an easy install. Probably could have done it myself, but figured since he was already there working in the kitchen I'd let him do it. Highly recommend!!

Very Short Life
I bought two of the 12" GE lights about year ago and I bought an 18" version a little over a month ago. Both of the 12" lights are not working as they should. Only 1/2:of the LEDs in the assembly light up. So far the 18" fixture is working Ok, but I expect that it will become defective in a few months based on my experience with the 12" lights. The lights look good, are easy to install and put out plenty of yellowish light when they are working properly, but they are very expensive for a light that only works for a year. I'm surprised that the have gotten so many good r ed views. The photo is a little deceptive. The left side of the light is completely dead. The right side is dead on the other 12" light.

Do not use on cabinet "near" a cooktop
Light work fit well under cabinet and the linking capabilities are decent. My wife likes the low/high/off switch on each light. I use these undercabinet lights to improve lighting for food preparation and are installed in the recess under cabinets adjacent to sink and cooktop. The problem I ran into after a couple years is the unit under one of the cabinets adjacent to my electric cooktop. The tab with the screw hole began to deteriorate and eventually broke, leaving pieces on the countertop and cooktop. After a couple weeks of trying to hang it from the remaining portion of the tab, that broke off from the light unit. Most likely the tab disintegrated due to heat. Customer support says unit not to be used above a cooktop, which it is not. So how far from the cooktop should it be? Mine is under the cabinet recess, 18" above counter height. Seems to me there should be more warning as to how far from a stove or cooktop to hang these. If not, the materials in these should be able to withstand some heat.

Looks and works great - thought it was a bit expensive, though!
We added 2 of these in our kitchen in the only 2 spots that have upper cabinets. They work great and the light isn't too blue (everything in our house is 3000k so I didn't want a stark blue white color...). Attaching photos with and without flash to show the color a bit better. The build crew installed these so i can't speak to the ease of installation but no problems as far as I know.

The are dead simple to install and use. If you are industrious, it's very simple to use the linking cable combined with some electrical wire to extend across gaps like behind the microwave or cabinets. Definitely watch some youtube videos if you haven't done it before to make sure you do it safely though. I added a smart plug into the outlet in my kitchen that these plug into and by leaving all of these LED fixtures on, they act as a smart light in the kitchen, which can be controlled via motion sensor or other means (I'm using the SmartThings platform). They are dimmable as well, so leaving them on the high setting, lets a smart switch/outlet dim them from 0% to 100% brightness.

Review after 9 months: Not so good
I bought 4 of these LED under-cabinet lights about 9 months ago: 2 18-inchers and 2 24-inchers. All of them still work, at least in part. See the attached picture. One of the 18-inchers seems to have blown a segment of LEDs, the other 18-incher has blown two segments, and one of the 24-inchers has blown one segment. (The second 24-incher seems to be working perfectly. I wish I could recommend that one.)
