This GE Advanced Silicone Clear Kitchen and Bath Caulk is doing a perfect job. It does everything it claims it does and it is very easy to work with. The tube is so much better for a small job and I love that you can cap it and it stays soft. Just follow the directions and you won't be disappointed. It's been a few months now and it is great! Recommend Highly!

too gummy to work with
This silicone comes out of the tube easily, but is so sticky and gummy that it's difficult or impossible to smooth. I started trying with a tool, then with my finger. As soon as you touch the silicone to smooth it, it sticks to the tool or finger and you just end up moving it around. Very frustrating. I can't get anything other than a sloppy looking job. I'll try to smooth it again after it dries. Will put this in the "don't buy again" category.

Doesn't cure
Applied the sealant and 2 days later it could be wiped away. Terrible product and a waste of time and money.

We are so sorry you had this experience with our product. What you described is not characteristic of GE Advanced Silicone 2 Kitchen and Bath Sealant. You may check the "Use by" date to determine if the product is still within the usable shelf life. Expired product has a much slower cure time or may not cure at all. As with all items sold through retailers, a product exhibiting an issue should be returned to the place of purchase for exchange or refund.

I found that it did not dry quickly and is very gummy. When wiping the sink a month later, it still will come off. I wouldn't buy it again.

Defective.
I maintain rental properties and bought about a dozen tubes of GE Silicone II in different colors. Just tried to use some a few days ago, and it DIDN'T SET. Tried again with another tube; also DID NOT SET. Defective. Should be a class action suit.

It's caulk. It was easy to use to install...
It's caulk. It was easy to use to install my new faucet as the instructions specified to caulk the bottom gasket to the sink surface. The only thing left would be how long does it last, if I notice any signs of early failure I'll follow up my review.

Doesn't Stick. Doesn't Even Cure
Claims to adhere to plastic and be water-ready in 30-minutes (fully cured in 24 hours). 16 hours after application it's still 90% unchanged and what little is solidified peels right off. This product is GARBAGE.

I used this silicone around a copper dropped in shink and marble countertops. After about a month, the silicone started to peel and come out. I replaced it with a different silicone. I would not recommend this product.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. GE Advanced Silicone 2 Kitchen and Bath Sealant is a sealant rather than an adhesive so if the application was to adhere shower back to the glass, this is not well suited for your repair.
