I've only had the lights installed for about 2 weeks, so it is too early to write a comprehensive review. The one problem so far is that they are too bright --- they give off way too much light -- so I had the electrician who installed them use dimmer switches, and now I really like them. I am not sure I will ever use them full strength. Another issue is that even with the usual "light guard" that comes with most new cabinets, you can still see the lights when sitting down at the kitchen table. It would be nice if they were thinner, like some of the (vastly) more expensive versions from lighting stores. But I imagine that most people have an island in their kitchen instead of a central kitchen table, so this might not be an issue for many people. Again, with the dimmers installed, this is less of a problem if I want to be seated and leave the under cabinet lights on.

The lights put out more than enough light to light up the counter space. The most difficult part is reassembling the fixture after the wiring is connected inside and trying to do so is awkward when it is mounted to the underside of the cabinet. Installation should be a one-time thing though since the lights are supposed to last for ~50,000 hours. Worth the hassle when all is said and done.

Pros Very Bright, Eco-Friendly, Functional Cons Difficult to Assemble

Great LED under cabinet light fixture, but lots of work to install I had to tap off another duplex receptacle and fish wire to the location for the under cabinet light then bending over and laying on the cabinet to see what I was doing is a back killer but after 100's of same installs was expecting this. Once wire in place just hook up to fixture body secure with the furnished screws plug in the wires put light into place and attach screws, then just put in lens turn power back on. The lights really put out way more lights than my other under cabinet lights. May have to change my others as new are way brighter.

Pros Looks Great, Very Bright, Nice Design, Easy to Assemble, Eco-Friendly, Functional, Good Size & Weight, High Quality of Material, Stylish, Well Made

I am very pleased with this 24 inch LED under the cabinet light which replaced a 22 year old Fluorescence light fixture. At only 8 watts of power I would guess it is at least 2x the brightness compared to 40 watts of old fluro bulb. This LED light emitts a soft light, kind of on the warm side. It compliments my kitchen counter nicely. I took pictures at night with and without the flash of my camera. It is a very nice light!

These under cabinet fixtures are a very versatile under cabinet fixture and come at a great price. Each lamp comes with its own toggle switch that can be direct wired directly or to a switch. We chose to direct wire to a switch. We have two series of lights; one set by the stove where two 18 in lights are run in series and one by the sink area where we have three lights run in series (18+24+18). These are great lights that provide great light for counter-top work. We do not utilize the dim-able feature of these lights. The lights tuck nicely under the cabinet and cannot be seen (unless you crouch down) once you install the cabinet light trim.

The result is tons of clean spot-free light for a reasonable price and at incredible efficiency. My daughter who is the fine baker in the family is loving the two lights I've just installed. If found this product in one size at my local store, but the size I needed wasn't at any store in New England. Shopping online did the trick. This seems to be a Home Depot exclusive, and although branded by GE is made by another company using the GE name. The lights have a lifetime warranty from the maker, though I hope that with so many individual LEDs I could run it with an LED burned out without even noticing. I struggled trying to figure out how to hide the wiring, considering Wiremold to hide either bare conductors or Romex. The store clerks didn't know either. Online discussions led me to know that I really need to protect the wiring inside the cupboards, so plain Romex wouldn't do. But when I opened the package and read the instructions, I finally understood that when the box said "armored cable" they truly meant metal-clad MC cable. The light comes with special end fittings that are designed for MC cable, so not much else would work. I found MC is a bit hard to work with, and it looks a bit industrial. But I find that nobody will ever notice the wiring under or inside the cupboard. And although each connection to a J-box took some time, overall it was simpler and cheaper than all the fittings I would have needed in Wiremold. It was a bit hard to take the unit apart to access the wiring, and to reassemble, which requires squeezing one metal piece until several tabs disengage with the outer metal casing. You really must do this with your thumbs, because it's an awkward shape, and most any tool would scratch the paint. I like that you can use a dimmer, though I won't because we love the great amount of light for certain tasks. I like that each one has a switch, so I can switch them on as a group and then isolate which ones I need. I like that the fixture is hardwired rather than plug-in. I like the light color which is on the "warm" (redder) side, but would possibly prefer a whiter color if they offered options, because that might better render the color of foods such as cake decorations.

Installed this light to replace a century old (well, not quite but it seems it) florescent fixture. Got tired of replacing the old bulb. This was pretty easy to install (read the directions in this case, as it WILL help). Popping on the plastic cover took a little finessing, and after a little struggle, I learned that if you start by squeezing the cover on at one end and work your way across the fixture, it goes on easily instead of trying to snap the whole cover back on in a single movement. This is much brighter than the tube fixture it replaced, and seems well-made to close tolerances, because the mating pieces do snap together without a struggle. Unlike the smaller 18" fixture, the width of this one leaves plenty of room inside the light fixture for the connections.
