Dryer is nice to fit a small space but capacity is still really nice. The dial and push buttons are easy to use. Love the sound on/off for a household with kids that nap. Lots of cool features

Love the dryer! It looks great stacked on matching washer. Runs quiet and doesn’t over dry clothes. Fantastic features and settings takes guess work out of laundry day.

We have only been using it for two weeks, but so far t does everything I need it to do. Not sure if it is a 3 star because it works as expected or a 5 star because it exceeds expectations - but I gave it 5. The real test will be longevity - how long will it last…

I like all the different settings for drying. However, once I got the hang of using the machine, I set the dryer to my likeness with time and heat settings.

Purchased as part of a remodel to create more space and brighten up the interior. More technologically advanced than I need so I’m just hoping it is durable.

Living in 1200 sq/ft city home, this washer/dryer set is perfect for the space. Great features and better efficiencies are an added bonus. I look forward to doing laundry now!! Runs great so far and happy to have the six year warranty just in case.

I only had a closet to use and this set was perfect! It is very quiet. Does an excellent job!

Small but powerful for the area I have for it to placed

So far the Dryer has been great with easy to figure out settings via the touch screen option. The lint tray design seems really good too. It seems pretty quiet and I like that you can see through the tinted glass door! I only wish that I could have has other colors to choose from, but white works fine.

Ordered this dryer and matching stacking washer in April, to replace my old GE stacking set that I loved. Due to Covid, we were very anxious for it to arrive and were looking forward to using it. The set arrived in early May and was installed without any issues. The dryer worked for about 9 days. When the Start button was pushed the "door" error code came on the display and it did nothing. If it did start, it would then stop about 5 minutes into the cycle. The interior light would come on as if the door was open. Pushing Start only made the error code "door" come back on, again. This dryer was unusable. After the GE repairmen replaced the motherboard, control board, and door lock assembly (which did nothing for the problem), GE ordered a replacement dryer for us. #2 finally arrived in late June, and worked for 7 minutes before the "door" error code shut it down. Several weeks went by until the repairman replaced the control board, motherboard, door latch, wiring harness, and plug. What happened? "door". The repairman suggested we may have contributing electrical problems and needed to get an electrician to check our condominium. It all checked out OK in early August. (GE did reimburse this expense.) GE then ordered replacement #3. The dryer arrived in mid August. The installation men could not get it to work as the "door" error code was the only thing it did. #3 was then removed by the installation men, and #2 was reinstalled. The manager of the installation company called to personally apologize. She was horrified that three GE dryers all had the same problem and that GE does not seem to know what the problem is or how to fix it. We are wondering the exact same things. We briefly considered ordering #4, it is 2020 after all. But there is only so much a small family can take. The washer & dryer set now sit in my dining room while I argue with GE about why I need a full refund for a stacking washer dryer set that I cannot use. I ordered a completely different set, a side by side made in America. So far so good.

Will not dry light blankets or sheets because they roll into balls that sit at bottom in front of air filter. With resulting restricted air flow, the dryer stops and displays message “Clean Filter” despite it being clean! May take it back!

I've always liked GE appliances and I highly recommend buying a GE appliance for anybody.

Absolutely horrible. What’s worse is that we have spent almost as long without a dryer as we have spent with one. And now we are waiting for the second one to be replaced so we are hang drying our laundry in the back yard.

It is perfect for a small space. The capacity is quite large for its size. It has a modern looks that allows me to have them exposed to anyone.

Just got new GE Washer/Dryer. Have had it less than a month, but happy it fits in the small space. I am also happy that the dryer is vented and will not heat up or create a moisture problem in the room it is in.

This 4.3 cu. ft. dryer manufactured in China for GE is not a full-size dryer. It’s a compact dryer that is suited for small laundry areas. The dryer is stackable (if you have a compatible washer to stack it on), but if you don’t stack it you will probably want to get a stand for it to sit on. (I'm looking for one.) The door is low to the ground and I have to bend over quite a bit. I reversed the door before I installed the dryer and it was an easy task. The ability to reverse the door is a major plus. I do think the dryer is louder than the full-size dryer I had before. My laundry area is adjacent to my kitchen and it doesn’t have a door that I can close to diminish the sound, so it’s taken some getting used to. The drying capacity of the dryer is about 60% that of a full-size dryer. I’m pleased with how fast it dries my laundry, which is good since I have a full-size washer and it sometimes requires two loads in the dryer for each load in the washer. The dryer seems well built, and it has a lot of nice features. I haven't noticed any manufacturing defects. The drying rack accessory that came with the dryer is useful for drying my delicate items that I don’t want to subject to tumble drying. Installing and removing the rack is very easy. I stick it into the dryer drum and rest the front two legs on the front angled ledge. I then lay my delicate items flat on the rack and dry with low heat on a timed setting.

GE Dryer Model GFD14ESSNOWW is 4.3 CF and it has a stainless steel drum, my last dryer had the porcelain interior that would turn blue after drying a load of blue jeans, not with this stainless drum. The Dual thermistors continually monitor temperature with a sensor bar in the drum so it will not overheat the clothes but thoroughly dry them accurately using one of the settings. Be sure to discuss your homes dryer vent with home depot, assume nothing. After finding out it is an approved pipe you have several ways to have it vented. The manual shows venting options of up through the bottom, left or right side, but comes standard out the back of the dryer. There is also a stackable kit GFA24KITL you can buy for the appropriate GE washers. I noticed the dryer also has a 115 plug on the back for you to feed 115v power to the stacked washer, which means you can use the 115 wall outlets for other things if you wanted. The door swing open to the right but can be changed to swing left. On the operation of the dryer the touch controls make it easy to select and do what you need to do. One impressive feature is the “low air” indicator. To me the impressive part is that as it operates it is monitoring the dryer air being vented and it will detect a decrease in performance and warn you. Keeps you in control and reliably delivers outcomes like you expect. That's something you can’t smell, see or touch so having that feature is wonderful. Likely meaning lint is built up some where or a pinched hose. There is additionally a dirty filter indicator to remind you the filter needs cleaning. The lint filter is the best design I have ever seen and very easy to clean and to reach. And that drum light in the stainless drum is sweet. The clothes pulled out of the drum easily. Basically it has 4 temperature settings including no heat. The preselected settings seem to cover a modern lifestyle. Mixed loads, Heavy Duty, Towels/Sheets, Casuals for special fabrics like spandex or high tech finishes including permanent press fabrics, Sanitize using high heat, quick dry, delicates, dewrinkle, warming gives 25 minutes to warm your clothes up before shoveling snow or something similar, air fluff provides 30 minutes of tumbling time without heat, Rack Dry, so no more sneakers banging around in the drum or gives you a place to dry a sweater. The control you have is unbelievable, for instance I pulled out my dry load a few collars we're still slightly damp, the next time I simply choose “Ex Dry” on the touch display and this time I can just run them back through using “quick dry”. Now if that is something that will occur regularly I can set a “My Cycle” and make that a one push option. And if you get busy with dinner and the cycle ends by selecting “Ext Tumble” it will toss the clothes for two hours until you can make it back to full and fold. My last washer dryer purchase was 4 years ago. Top loading washer never spun them dry enough which created longer drying times. With the new front loaders the clothes are clean and enter the dryer, dryer. and this new dryer masterfully cares for the fabric and saves me time. I think the dry sensor is much better than my last 900$ dryer. To install you need a dryer cord and a hose to connect to the dryer. Super pleased.

This electric dryer is smaller than I expected. It measures roughly 27 inches deep, by 24 inches wide, by 34 inches high. However, as long as your not trying to fit a king size quilt or comforter in it, it'll do fine. This dryer has lots of features and options. It's got a few special features that we'll probably use frequently such as Air Fluff, Dewrinkle, Sanitize, and the dryer rack which is great for shoes and hats. I'm not sure we'll ever use the built in wi-fi features (I'm old school and don't see the need for wi-fi anything on washers or dryers). Of course you can delay the start of the dryer, you can turn the beeper notification on and off, and you can even lock the controls of the dryer, incase you have small children that might play with it while it's running. It's a GE, so I know it's good quality and will last a long time, but the 1 year warranty provides me with good peace of mind. All in all I feel like it's a pretty nice, compact electric dryer for the money.

This dryer is just what we needed because we have a rather cramped laundry room and we didn't want to go with stacking units because they would have blocked a window. This dryer's width is a couple of inches narrower than a standard size dryer so we were happy to find it. It doesn't take huge loads but it handles enough for us and it dries pretty quickly. It has lots of features as far as different cycles etc. It's nice that you can reverse the door swing to make it work in any location. It has a stainless steel drum which shows quality. It was delivered quickly and they included two power cords (3-prong and 4-prong) and a quality dryer vent tube.

Make sure you understand what you are ordering when you order this. It is a very small dryer. This compact unit would be great for an apartment or supplemental unit on a second floor. The dryer is loaded with features and comes with a drying rack for drying shoes or sweaters. There are a large number of presets and you can alter the presets if needed. I am used to Large whirlpool dryer that typically dries clothes in less than one hour. This new energy efficient model starts the countdown at 1: 40 minutes for a regular cycle. Plan your laundry accordingly. So far we know that it is very small (4.3 ft.³) and it takes a long time to dry clothes. However, it does an outstanding job of drying the clothes without beating them up or overheating them. I was very impressed with the first load coming out of the machine as it had no wrinkles, not overly hot and the clothes just felt like they were in better shape. I was very surprised ( in a good way)

Please review the dimensions to determine your space and usage needs before purchasing. Height is 33.25, Width 23.4375 and Depth is 25.25. It is approximately waste high. It is a noticeably more compact unit and ideal for tighter spaces such as: RV's ,closets, small living homes and areas where space is limited. The 220 volt connection access is very convenient and the installation for a three or four wire hook-up is well illustrated- depending of your electrical configuration. The 4 inch dryer vent comes standard rear facing and is adjustable where other applications are needed. This GE 4.3 cu. ft. 240-Volt Electric Dryer in White is another fine example of the quality products GE manufactures. Upon unboxing, the unit is well built and more heavy than I anticipated for the smaller sized unit. The fit and finish is nice and the front controls are very easy to access. The dryer comes with the dryer rack installed and is a nice feature for shoes and other items that need more delicate drying. The ample sized 4.3 cu. ft. stainless steel drum is well built and a piece of mind for a longer lasting unit. The door is hinged on the right side but is easily reversed with the removal of a couple screws. The dryer has 13 drying cycles and 4 heat settings to cover about any item that one can put in it. I especially like the sanitize cycle as we have school-age children and this added heat cycle is a nice feature for all those sick times. The delay start feature is wonderful for those busy days where one can easily forget to start the dryer. The end of drying cycle alert is not too over powering but audible and enough to here. The integrated 110 volt plug is great for stacking the matching 110 volt washer sold here at The Home Depot and freeing up another plug in the laundry room. The feature loaded Wi-Fi option and connection requires a hub that can be purchased on GE's site for a reasonable price. I am extremely impressed with the quality build and the value packed into this GE 4.3 cu. ft. 240-Volt Electric Dryer in White. Once again, GE has set the standard for other manufactures to try and reach. A very nice GE product!

Product is excellent. The delivery / installation was worse than bad - it appears that the installation people did not speak English, and did not know how to install. I eventually found a handyman who installed the unit. BTW, the customer service phone people were very good.

This machine is easy to use and dries very well. It allows the user to select the kind of load to be dried and the amount of heat and length of time involved. The eDry control allows economical energy use. Great machine.

These appliances are being used by renters; so far no problems!

Compact and efficient!!! Moved into a small cottage house and it is perfect for a couple. Capacity was larger than I thought!! Totally recommend!!

Just started using but not thinking it does a very good job at drying things like towels. Takes a LONG time. I guess I will give it a little more time to see.
