Worked for only three daysI purchased this because I moved to the Seattle area and a contractor recommended a dehumidifier to reduce moisture downstairs. Previously, I've appreciated GE products and always bought them through Home Depot; however, this one has proved to be a disaster. It worked for approximately three days and then the display malfunctioned, showing partial numbers that didn't change when the buttons were pressed. Also, except for the power button, the other functions were no longer available. When the fan dramatically increased speed and then slowed, I gave up and contacted GE. On October 8th, I spoke to two agents, and the second one promised that a new dehumidifier would be sent to my house within 5-7 business days followed by a box to return the original. Neither arrived. I've been on long holds with GE since to no avail. The recording advocates choosing the call-back option, but no one calls back. I'm on hold, probably sixth time, to find out where to return it. If I receive no satisfaction, I'll contact my Credit Card company to dispute the charges. This is a real shame, as they used to be a solid American appliance company.
