[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I have been married for 43 years and I love him dearly. He has worked hard for many years to provide for our family and make sure that we would be comfortable in our later years. A few years ago, he found out that he had cancer in his lung. It was treated, but the following year, it metastasized to his brain. Now he has pretty significant short term memory loss. It’s amazing how quickly he will forget things. I try to help him to remember things as much as I can without making him feel stupid or old. Still, we both miss things and sometimes I cringe when I think of how lucky we are that nothing bad has happened. I found this light bulb at Walmart that has the ability to turn on the light when there is movement in the room. after a set amount of time, it will turn the light back off. You can choose from four time settings- one minute, two minutes, five minutes, and ten minutes. You simply screw the appliance into your existing light, then screw in your light bulb. The only drawback is that you can’t use your light cover over your lightbulb because that would cover the movement sensor and it wouldn’t be able to tell when someone entered the room. I debated this and decided that it wasn’t as important as being able to have the ability to have the lights automatically turn off. This is wonderful for us, as I have gone into the bedroom after hours of nobody being in there, only to notice that the light in the closet has been on all that time. Well, no more! I am putting these in the garage, the closets, anywhere we only go for a moment and then the lights can be turned off again. This is just a small thing, I know, but each small thing added up make up a bigger thing in his head. I want him to be confident in something and not always concerned over every little thing. Maybe this light could help you as well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm truly impressed with how well this 360 motion activated lightbulb works. The lightbulb sockets pull change recently broke off in my basement and in order to turn the light on and off I would have to screw and unscrew the lightbulb. I exchanged the lightbulb and replaced it with this motion sensing lightbulb. I couldn't be happier with how great this works. By the time I hit the bottom of my stairs the light bulb turns on and lights up my whole basement. It has an adjustable timer that shuts the light bulb off when motion is not detected. These lightbulbs are perfect for any area in your house. I have since replaced the lightbulbs in my hallway and entryway with these as well. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to make their lives easier, their hallways brighter, or for those that always forget to turn off the lights. These lightbulbs will not disappoint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a GE motion sensing light switch. We put this is our garage light so it would come on when we opened our garage door. We didn’t have anywhere else we could put it because it has to remain uncovered. Our garage is the only light socket that is doesn’t have a cover over the socket. That is the one down fall to this motion sensing light. I would of liked to put this in our front porch light however it has a glass cover. This was easy to set up and install. Just screw in your light socket and screw in a bulb. This also has a adjustable timeout feature that can be set to 1,2,5 or 10-minute timeouts. Meaning that is how long the light will stay on after the motion sensor turns on the light. We have our set to 5 minutes. Which seems to work perfectly. This is a good idea to have a motion light for added security. This has 360 degree motion detection range and up to 15 feet away. This can be used with LED, CFL, and incandescent bulbs. This is a nice addition to our other smart home devices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been having trouble locating the pull string in my work area in my basement and I thought it would be a great place to have the motion control so I don’t have to find it any longer. I screwed in this 360 motion sensor at the light base in 10 seconds and it has been great ever since. I can literally walk from 10 feet away and the light comes on for me at a set time that I want before going off. I don’t have to think about turning the light off or on any longer it just happens automatically like magic. The best thing I like about this motion sensor is the convenience that it gives in your every day life. I would recommend everyone buy one of these for a gift because it is literally life-changing.

Turned on at times other times not , was disappointed sometimes had to be directly under it to light up

Jumping jacks in front of it and waving around arms before turns on less than a few feet. Was installed in kitchen ceiling light above the sink. Worthless junk and should be pulled from the market. I made HUGE mistake to throw away package when installed and threw out the garbage before realizing the issue. Now I am unable to return it. Now tore out the white plastic reflector for the motion sensor to see if will solve the problem. Last Resort and should not be required.

worked great as advertised .

I placed this unit in my garage, and hung a powerful multi-panel LED below. Perhaps because of this array, the unit fails to come on easily. I jump up and down and wave my arms like a madman. It's not a solution for me, though it does come on when fully coaxed.

Don't not work as advertised.

The bulb does not sense movement in small spaces, e.g. food pantry. It works well in a walk-in closet. It is very easy to install.

Item did not work as it said it would, it only would turn on if I literally was inches away from it very disappointed because I needed it for the application it was supposed too

Perfect for my needs.

The light only turns on if you are in the right spot, for example, in my garage, if I'm North of the light it comes on. If I'm East of the light it does not

Inconsistent with timer.

Mounted it on the ceiling of a closet and the motion sensor doesn't turn the light on until you wave your arms for about 5-10 seconds. Decided to return it.

This motion sensor is working perfectly in the rooms that I installed them

perfect solution to my small closet.

The sensor (installed in a low ceiling fixture) doesn't trigger the light until I'm literally right below it. Since the purpose for this was to light a dark hallway to the laundry room, and it doesn't turn the light on until I'm past where the light switch is, it's not very effective.

It works very well with the exception of direction of focus for turning on.

They only work 120 degrees

I bought this to use in my townhouse vestibule which is pretty dark. I wanted a light to come on automatically when leaving and entering home. I'd say this motion detector worked less than half the time. I'm returning it.

Works Perfectly in our walkin pantry. No more fumbling for the light switch. Thank You Home Depot
