I love my dishwasher
Was so lost without dishwasher when my old one broke. I bought GE Slate to match my GE refrigerator and it works so good and looks great. I now need to replace range and microwave.

Do Not Buy This Product!
This dishwasher's motherboard broke after only 2 years of soft use...ridiculous. Had to pay an additional $250 just to get it fixed. After only a couple months the detergent dispenser sticks and didn't open half the time. Does not clean pans on bottom rack or silverware very well unless you have already pre rinsed them completely.

Works Well
Works well and does the job as intended. The only issue I have is the lower rack. Its hard to wash plates plus pots, etc.

New Member
Had this dishwasher for only three years and suddenly it would not start. Thinks the door is open. Ran dianostics and with the door closed it says that it is open. Figured it was the door switch easy fix (NOT) easy to install the door switch but that did'nt fix the issue. Now it seems the control board is bad and I can't even get a replacement. The date code on the board says 2014. What the heck I bought it in 2017.
Don't buy these dishwashers.
I had a old Maytag that I sold that was still working after 15 years.

2 years old and has broken twice.
We bought a kitchen package, dishwasher, fridge, stove, micro in the slate color. LOVE the color everything else about these appliances SUCK.

Not to happy
We have had our dishwasher for 3 years and the main control board went out. A little disappointed because GE only covers part for 1 year. So if you buy this dishwasher make sure you buy the extended warranty! My old dishwasher lasted 13 years and was still going when we got rid of it!

Bad dishwasher
Never washed great, but today the panel went dark. There is power, we have a tool that shows if it does or doesn’t. Clearly it has power. We’ve maybe had this 3-4 years at most. Grr

Motor went bad after 3 years!
We purchased the GE Slate Diswasher, Refrigerator and Stove because we love the look of the Slate finish. I am now second guessing that decision. My dishwasher has recently stopped cleaning anything off of my dishes and we called our hometown repairman. After coming out to check the dishwasher, he informed us that the motor is not working. So my 3 year old dishwasher now needs a NEW MOTOR!!!! REALLY????? I am livid and definitely not a fan of GE right now!!!!

Great Dishwasher
The dishwasher does a good job. It would be nice if you could run the heated dry cycle on its own for times when the normal heated cycle doesn't fully dry the dishes. I also wish the bottom rack was a little taller - I can't fit some of my platters and tall vases on the top or bottom rack.

Terrible dishwasher.
Poor job cleaning dishes. Impossible to keep clean inside. Mold grows throughout. Never had a machine that performed so Bought the kitchen set. Range, micro, fridge and dishwasher. The refrigerator has been serviced 3 times and the dishwasher doesn’t clean. Terrible quality products all around.

The machine went dead, 2 years since purchase
Hi GE. The machine was working absolutely fine. But as of last week its completely dead. The electric supply does exist as tested using the non-contact tester, BUT the control panel remains dark and hence the machine has been rendered useless. What could be my next steps?

Sleek design
So far so good. We love the bottle jet option as we have 4 kids in the house. We use it for bottles and sippy cups. The only thing I dislike so far is the run time. Seems like it takes quite a while to run a cycle. Other than that, no complaints and a huge upgrade from our last dishwasher.

Would have given a 5 except for cycle time
Dishwasher is excellent! Lots of capacity. The only down side is the heated dry cycle— it takes about 3 hours!

This has to be one of the worse dishwashers I have ever owned. Does not wash properly, dryer has a hard time drying, now 2 years and 10 mos old it went completely dead! No power what so ever and no it is not the breaker! Since the warranty is up GE wanted 100.00 just to come look, payable whether they can fix or not. Called another appliance repair place. Paid too much money for this to replace.

Don’t buy!
Included with new house. This dishwasher broke after 2 years of limited use. Has no power. Won’t start. Probably the circuit board. Not worth the money. Buy another brand.

Overall dissatisfied
Once again having service come check this junk out again. seems like a leaky machine. Not sure if it truly washes the dishes. Always seems to have soap on the silver ware and some times on the upper rack. I guess you get what you pay for.

Bad Appliance
Have been disappointed in this dishwasher from the start. It is only three years old and doesn't clean dishes, leaves a horrible film on the inside front door where dispenser is, glasses have film, silverware is often not clean. Usually need to wash at least half the silverware and 1/3 of the dishes. Not worth the money to repair and have it not work.
Would rather get a new, different brand. Don't make the same mistake

Not happy!

Love it!
Our old dishwasher still worked fine, but upgraded the whole kitchen with a redesign and wanted a different color of appliances. Sooooo quiet! Didn't realize what a difference it makes!

Easy to load
I absolutely love the racks on this dishwasher. They have the perfect spots for glasses and my giant coffee mugs. I also love the bottle key feature and use it all. The. Time. Seriously, it cleans bottles and grimy bowls.

waste of money!
Left a 5 star review 2 years ago after having had this machine only 1 month, wish I had known then that it would quit working 2 years later. GE customer service was NOT helpful. So far have already wasted another $30 on a part to try to fix it (spoiler: it didn't fix it...). So frustrated I am already having to purchase a new dishwasher. This time I think I will go for a no frills, cheap model and definitely NOT GE.

Good Bang for the Buck
Picked this up from a local dealer when my KitchenAid went out. The parts were going to cost more than what the new GE cost. So far it seems reliable and quiet. Seems a little smaller inside than our old KitchenAid but we're getting used to it. This was "last year's" model when we purchased it and is currently out of production but we got a heck of a deal on it and the slate finish matches our range and microwave. Took one evening to install with no issues or suprises. Recommended.

Power & spacey
I loved this dishwasher, it always got my dishes clean and dried them well,, my kids help with dishes alot and I never has to go back over after them loading our dishwasher. Unfortunately we didn't have it very long before we lost our home in a fire the day before Thanksgiving. We sure do miss it. I think we would all recommend this dishwasher to anyone looking for an affordable powerful dishwasher. We even put bottles in it and we normally wouldn't do that .
