I Just installed this dishwasher over the weekend, So far I am going to give it 4 stars but it could be worthy of 5 stars. Main issues thus far with this dishwasher was the install. I installed this myself and it took close to 2 hours, 1 hour of that time was just trying to secure it to the side cabinets for a granite counter install. The 2 side install holes are almost impossible to access they line up with the top rack and the top rack is not removable (or at least GE does not recommend removing it per their website) you have to position the top rack perfectly and still cant get a straight shot at the holes. If they just moved them down about 3 inches it would not have been an issue. So just be ready for a harder then needed install. Also this dishwasher came with 3 black rubber trim pieces, they are supposed to cover up the small gaps between the dishwasher and cabinets, I could not use them. my cabinets are very close to the dishwasher so with these trim pieces added they overlapped with my doors so I could not open them. No big deal because they are just cosmetic trim which I thought made the install look worse anyhow. I also don't personally like the top controls are still buttons instead of a more modern touch panel but that's a minor gripe However once you get past the install the dishwasher is a great cleaner with some great features that's hard to find on a model this price (I got it on sale). I so far love the Bottle Jet feature, which is awesome for Water or Baby Bottles and the adjustable top rack is nice for when you wash wine glasses and like that the stem holders are on both sides of the top rack and can fold away when not in use. Overall the Features to Price Point at least when on sale is a good combination on this unit.

My wife and I purchase our home in August of 2015 complete with mismatched appliances. We settled on a new GE dishwasher and elected for this model, which combines some of the unique features of the other models out there. The unit is extremely quiet and cleans exceptionally well. The "Wash Zones" feature is helpful for only needing to wash a half-load, and my wife loves the "Bottle Jets" feature for our toddlers daily sippy cups. We also love that the display provides a timer to show how long is left. Installation with Home Depot was quick and easy. I would recommend this model, and Home Depot's installation team, for anyone wanting all of the bells and whistles.

I've owned this product for 3 weeks, this dishwasher is very quiet, even before I installed the front blanket system its noise level was less than any other washer I've encountered. Where this washer lost a star was the installation. The water connection uses a 90 deg hose junction that is not provided and not listed unless you dig into the manual. The items that are essential for installation should be noted on the delivery box, or boldly listed on the front of the installation manual. The leveling feet are also terrible, unless you can somehow reach the bottom of the supports with a 5/8 wrench the only way to adjust the feet up and down is with a 5/32 wrench, good luck finding one of those. If you know some one with a set of ignition wrenches or happen to have a set, your good to go, otherwise its a nightmare. The edge baffling is also a problem to install, I ended up drilling and running some metal screws thru them to hold them to the washer, to complete the install. The waste water hose was also a pain to connect. I ended up trouble shooting leaks from the inlet and the outlet hoses before I was finished with the install. One last complaint, be sure to carefully inspect the front of the washer when it's delivered. The blue protective plastic extends 3/4 of the way down, and it looked like someone used a utility knife when the removed the excess and left an 18 inch cut across the front of the machine. I only noticed it while I was on my back trying to jimmy the leveling feet into place. Home Depot gave me my choice of replacing the front or 100 dollars in credit. Since the trouble of re-installing the washer and risking another episode of leaks was not worth the risk of replacing the front I took the credit. Fortunately the cut is not readily noticeable unless you are looking directly at the center of the machine. I decided not to point it out to my wife. To finish up with the points that lead us to the purchase, the 3 drawers are very handy, the top slim drawer especially so, it holds spatulas, large knives, ladles etc. that previously had nowhere to go in the other washers we've owned. Also the bottle washers are very good, I use them to rise the bottles I use for biking, it holds them securely. Overall volume is good and holds everything used in an extended party. We also like the front handle, we were worried that it might be a problem sticking into the kitchen space but has not been an issue. Dishes have had no problem coming out clean. The variety of cycles has also been acceptable, and has a heated drying cycle that my wife likes. As the memory of the installation fades, we are satisfied with the purchase.

I love this machine, I have had it about a month now and works wonderfully. It has be about 14 years since I had a new dish washer and I did my research for over a month. This model is very quite, what a difference, wow. Gets dishes clean and bright. I love the extras such as Wine Stem Holder, and Bottle Jet cleaner, they both work nicely. I know the hype for the new machines is no pre rinsing and such, but cereal still can stick even with steam, your choice is rinse them asap or leave an extra space for the spray to hit better. My only con is I wish the 3rd silverware tray at the top were a lighter color, gray or even white. Most of my kitchen knife handles and chop sticks are black and get lost up there. As for all those negative WET reviews. My dishes come out dry and some with divot might hold puddles but that is normal with any machine. This is what I do, 1. I never use heated dry, don't need it. Even after the cycle is done the fan motor continues to run for a long time on green light, leave it closed over night and let the fan do its job. 2. If my plastics are still wet, I prop the door open for an hour or so before unloading and they air dry on their own, just flip a handle towel to the inside. Don't be in such a hurry to open that door when the cycle is done, the fan is still working. You might have to put your ear really close to tell. Dishwashers are suppose to be a little wet in the bottom so the drain pipe has water in it otherwise you could get foul gasses back up in the machine, that is why you need that big U in the hose.

I have had this dishwasher for a month now and so far it has performed well. I love the stainless steel tub and picked the white exterior but I am sure now that the stainless steel exterior would have been awesome. It is very quiet and I am not sure sometimes if it is running at all! I watched the professional plumber install it and he had to actually had to connect wires before he installed it He said he did not have to do this usually. So I do not know if this is a major problem or not. The plumber I had was able to figure it out using the installation guide. There are a lot of versions/models of this same dishwashers - I might have been just as happy with a cheaper model. I did pay for all the features I wanted. So overall I am very happy. I do like the third tray - you can also take it out to give you more room on top when needed.

Have had the dishwasher installed 7weeks and have the GE appliance technician out twice for two different issues. The drainage pump has needed to be replaced and the spinner that hangs from the top shelf. The bottle jets I thought would be a cool feature, but most of my sports bottles are too tall to fit on top shelf (might be good for baby bottles?)

This dishwasher works very well. I will say that it took a week or so to get used to loading it properly. For first timers, make sure you don't put tall items in the front because it will cause the soap to gather and not dispense. Worth the money, I would buy again.

Do not buy this machine! For the first several uses the dishes came out clean and we were very happy with our purchase. Then on the fifth use it completely died. After confirming that there was still power to the unit we called GE service and scheduled a service call. The bad news is that the main display board is bad and the part is back ordered. Seems that this is a common problem with this machine and GE is in the process of switching vendors. Three weeks later we are still washing dishes by hand. Today we called GE for an update on the status of our parts order and found out that the parts won't be available for at least another two weeks. GE did say that they will send us a $20 check to cover the cost of paper plates while we wait! Can't asked for better customer service than that, after spending $700 or a new dishwasher. Stay away from this model and this will be my last GE appliance purchase.

  • Are you sure it is running?

As part of my kitchen remodel I decided to replace my GE profile dishwasher of 12 years with this dishwasher. Although my GE profile was still functioning after all of those years with but one service call, it just didn't clean as well as when 1st purchased. I, at first shopped for a Profile replacement but upon comparing Profile models with this unit, it appeared to me that the features of this model exceeded many if not most of the Profile washers. It seemed that the bump in price for the Profile models was really all about the Profile logo on the front of its washers. I am so happy with my decision. The dishes and glasses absolutely sparkle, the pot cleaning setting actually gets baked on pots clean and its 45db claim is 100% accurate. I truly have gone to the dishwasher while functioning to check if it is running. Now that is quiet.

The dishwasher is excellent. We cannot hear it running, the dishes come out dry and spot free. We have only used the light wash setting but so far so good. Extremely dissatisfied with home depot. The instructions for installation (from home depot) state that I have to have an outlet to plug in the dishwasher and that I have to buy a plug cord. I went ahead and installed the outlet under the cabinet. When the guy came to install the dishwasher they said they almost always hard wire the dishwasher and rarely plug into an outlet. The installers drove their truck across my yard, ran into my apple tree, installed the side cabinet screws so they hit the door of the dishwasher and did not bother to level the machine. Other than that the install was fine.
