We wanted a dishwasher that was quiet, and that didn't need any pre-washing/rinsing. We got it. After pouring through many many, many reviews, it seems like they don't make them like they used to. It seemed like no matter which brand you go with, there is going to be a chance that something is wrong with it. The previous model of this washer apparently had issues with the door. We took a chance on this potential issue as it seems like there are fixes that we can do to make sure we don't have that problem as opposed to problems with the circuit board which we can't fix. Installing the unit went as expected, wasn't too difficult. The only problem we had was with the outer seal things and securing the unit to the cabinet, but that was more our fault because we installed first, then read the instructions later. Ran it for the first time last night. We left everything from dinner as it was. No scraping, washing, water of any sort. Sat on the counter for about 4 hours before it went in. We had a chicken salad with a thick sauce. There were bits of onion and chicken on the plates still. We have a baby, so we put her sippy cup stuff on the very top rack. Put it on auto, steam, sani, heated dry, cascade platinum (no rinse aid) and pressed start. Estimated time of 284mins, not a problem as we were going to sleep. The thing is really quiet. Checked that we didn't have any leaks from our install and went to bed. This morning, opened up the door and everything was clean except, there were two corn kernels on the door, and one piece of spinach on the plastic salad fork which was in the cutlery rack on the bottom shelf. Everything else was spotless. So, as long as we scrape off the excess food into the bin, we are good to go. Very happy about that. The very top rack with the sippy cup stuff did not dry, everything else was dry. Now all we need to do is hope it lasts long enough to justify the $700.

Very quiet when running. The light on the front lets you know if it is still going or if it's done. Really like the 3rd rack to hold all those "little things". You do need to down load the loading instructions from the GE website. They no longer include that information as a way to save paper.

This dishwasher is proving to be VERY accommodating. The third rack and the silverware tray can be used as "and/either/or" to allow for extra space where you need it, when you need it. And the easy adjustable upper rack allows for quick changes for items needing more or less room. It runs 'SUPER quiet' enough for you to be able to whisper to someone, and still be heard. The bottle wash feature is an excellent addition to have for unique demands. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend this dishwasher.

The first delivery was a defective one with obvious surface defects. After a few days, the pump that supposed to drain the water stopped working. I had to call the get it replaced. When the water was not draining, it leaked to the floor and caused a mess.

The good: - Uses less water than my old one. - Cleans well - Quiet, can't really tell that it's running. - Love the adjustable rack - With 3rd rack, I can remove the utensil tray... more room!! The bad: - No rinse only option - my old one has this option.

  • Didn't work as expected
  • March 07, 2017

Received the Dishwasher with so much of moisture in them. Waited a week to get it replaced. Within a week the Dishwasher stopped working. I got a service appointment in 1 week. They ordered a part. Another week I waited for the part to reach. When they came to repair I saw some dents in the dishwasher. I am not happy with this purchase.

Very happy with this dishwasher. VERY quiet, easy to use. Only down side is that it is NOT fingerprint proof (though it never claimed to be) and with 2 small children every little print does show. Easy to install and the online ordering process was really quick and easy.

Very quiet and very good at cleaning dishes. Nice racking that aids in easy loading. Dishwasher is wider than others (due to water/sound gasket on sides) so installation was more difficult than normal.

This dishwasher is great. I love the third shelf for silverware and small items. It makes a big difference. The silver is individually placed - no more stuck together spoons, each piece is clean and sparkling. I totally removed the silverware holders from the bottom rack - giving me much more room for pots and pans. The bottle washer tines on the top shelf get even the deepest glass or bottles clean. The top rack raises and lowers enough to accommodate Tall bottles on top or deep pots on the bottom. I do not like the spacing of the plate holder tines on the bottom shelf. They are a bit too far apart to hold my plates securely. I would like to see an additional row of tines near the front of the machine. This machine is QUIET. Fortunately there is a light on the front of the door to indicate that it is operating. The only noise I ever hear is the sound of water being pumped out through the drain between cycles. I had reservations about the top-of-the-door controls. They disappear under the counter top when the door is closed. Actually, you select cycles etc with the door open and leaning to you - push start - and when the door closes the unit begins. You can still see the countdown timer which is a great feature. I have had the dishwasher for 3 months and would readily buy it again.
