We had a LG stove that was fancier, and more expensive than this stove, but just after it's one year warranty ran out, the temp controls went wonky. You'd turn on the oven, and it might put out 100 degrees, or 600, you never knew what. I ordered this stove since fixing the old one was way too expensive, and I figured that if the parts went bad after just a year, I couldn't trust them not to do so again. We've had great luck with GE products in the past. Also had great service from GE in the past too. This stove is simpler, and less expensive, but simple is a good thing, because there is less to go wrong. Home Depot delivery went great, and the stove arrived perfect. That night, we enjoyed Reuben sandwiches cooked on the griddle! We love this stove! Thanks GE and Home Depot!

We have used the range for a week now, and it has not missed a beat. The oven is wonderful. The different heat ranges of the burners on the stove could not work any better. The griddle is excellent. It is so easy to make grilled cheese sandwiches while you are cooking stew or soup or anything else you desire. Have not used the steam cleaning for the oven yet, but I feel confident that it will work fine. I do wish the broiler was actually a drawer that pulled out, rather than just having a flap type door that opens. It would be much easier to use, but in time we will be fine with it.

This is a top choice range for it's target budget. My main choice for this stove was the placement of the burners, which are further to the edges than any other range I checked. This allows pots and pans to not interfere with each other while cooking, giving you greater control over the placement of each pan. Moreover, the top with it's built in griddle is flat, so pans can stay steady and stable, while doubling as a great utensil holding area while cooking. All sections can be easily removed for cleaning. We love this range, great job GE!

  • Nice with small drawbacks

It works well, it looks very nice, it heats up quickly and can get really hot on the large burner if you want. Sometimes too hot, so you have to adjust to that. The griddle works out great, I've used it almost every night. However, it does get quite a bit of spatter on each side grate unlike if using a pan. All the grates are easy to clean if you have a large sink, but I imagine with a standard double sink it would not be easy since the grates are large and heavy. Now the cons: The broiler drawer is smaller than I'm used to. You couldn't fit more than one large French bread roll at a time. The grates I've been taking out to clean every night and it was wiping clean at first, but now it's already scratched with gray or red from pots/pans that won't come off and I wouldn't expect that after 2 weeks of use. Glazed grates hold up better to scratches but I imagine these grates hide stains better. Also the rubber stoppers under each grate leg just pop right out and can't be popped back in, you have to be careful not to lose them while cleaning. If you do lose them, you have nothing to protect the grate from scratching the glazed surface underneath that it's resting on. What really bothers me is the surface quality of the grates. It looks like it's heavy duty and should be able to withstand everyday use but that's not the case. It scratched and stained after only 2 weeks of use.

Beautiful, easy to use. Pre-heats so fast I have to make sure my prep work is done a lot sooner. I've used all the burners, griddle and the oven so far, no complaints. Love it!

The gas range itself is great. I do not reccomend buying it from Home Depot or paying for their installation of it. I ordered this and was scheduled for delivery and then late afternoon the day before scheduled delivery I received an automated message that it was backordered and would be 10 days before delivery. Then when it is finally delivered and installed. I walk into my kitchen afterwards and smell gas. I checked the connections and one is leaking so I checked the connections and the connector used is too large for my shut off valve and I ended up going to purchase a residential connector kit and not the commercial they had hooked up. Save your money and just do the work yourself.

Purchased at Home Depot. Delivery on 7/12/19 was fine and uneventful. The first thing that frightened me was that when I pressed Pre-heat, the air coming out at the rear of the cooktop was so hot that I could hardly put my hand on the cooktop. I immediately turned it off because I was sure it was defective. A service person came the following day and said it was normal, that "the hot air had to go somewhere," and to be sure that I turned on the exhaust fan on the microwave above the range. I have used gas ranges for many years and have never experienced that. On my next try, I waited for the Pre-heat light to go off and cooked something in the oven, all the while this hot air was blasting out of the top. When I turned the oven off, I had to wait for a very long time for very loud exhaust fan to dissipate the hot air - probably about 30 minutes - conversation was impossible. Second, the top of the griddle is higher than the burner grate, so a large sauté pan I was using had to rest a bit on the griddle, making cooking uneven. I will add there is a wall on the right side of the stove, so there was nowhere else for it to go. And third, the broiler on the floor is a terrible feature. I have had bottom broilers before, but this one is so low to be unuseable. I would have to lie on the floor to use it. All in all, I am very unhappy that I purchased this.

Easy install and well made oven. Unfortunately an insulator within the broiler door kept emitting a burnt plastic smell. Running did not solve problem as it would in typical ovens. The inner broiler door sheet metal has an insulator pad inside it that was baking. The sheet metal and insulator were replaced and smell went away. Basically the insulator pad had to go.
