I was very excited to purchase such a beautiful refrigerator, it looked amazing in my kitchen. I spent a ton of money on it and figured that since it was a GE product, it would last a lifetime. I was wrong. I saw in another review that the water dispenser drips water after you dispense water out of it which I had the same issue with but I could live with that. Fast forward 2 years... one day, there was water leaking out of the ice dispenser. I figured out that the ice had melted and was dripping on my floor, warping some of the flooring that sits in front of the refrigerator. Then the temperature started going down in the refrigerator unit on the top but the freezer was still cold. I had a GE repairman come out which cost $100 to have him look at it without repairing anything on it. He said that the fan that blows the cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator went out. He felt bad about my refrigerator being so new so he gave me half off parts and labor which would have cost me $350. He said that he would be back in 1 week to repair it. 1 week goes by and we get a call..... it is on back order and didn't come in. Extremely irritated, we wait another week.... still no part to repair the refrigerator..... over 1 month later, you guessed it.....STILL NO PART!!!! I tried to talk to their customer service and all I heard was "we are sorry to hear that" and "there is nothing we can do". I now have to go with some other company to try to find this part and pay probably even more for it. Long story short.... buy an extended warranty and keep it on the refrigerator and pray nothing like this happens to you.

so have had this only a few weeks, great product, looks nice, great style, lots of features.......now would have given it 5 stars if it had the second ice maker included in it......the one on door that you get just runs out way too quick and is far too small.....cant get through a day without it running out. just plain too small......having to pay for the second one in the freezer is wrong, should be included. otherwise all the features are great and looks great.....wifi to program your hot water or your k-cup for morning for with your phone is a nice feature....the slate is a nice look compared to everyday stainless....also no real lighting on the touch pad? hard to see your features and to use the touch pad.

So today our close to $3000 GE profile refrigerator/freezer installed in December whose fan motor in the freezer section shorted out and caught fire is going on two weeks not operational. I have made at least 7 calls to the GE consumer support group. Was promised many times that resolution was insight only to find out person I talked to and promised action had lied to me. The latest is that it is “unknown due to a computer re-organization issue” at the parts warehouses if in fact parts to repair have been sent or not. No one at GE will confirm when of if or refrigerator will be repaired or replaced. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY GE PRODUCT! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

I bought this fridge 2 years ago from Home Depot. They came and installed it. It is a great fridge other than the fact that it will randomly start leaking water at night. Like a ton of water where there is a puddle stretching a few feet from my fridge. It has totally destroyed the hard wood in the kitchen. So not only did I spend $3000 for a fridge but now will have to spend a couple more thousand to fix my kitchen. I have contacted GE. They said that they couldn’t help. Very poor customer service. I would recommend people get something other than GE.

We waited to review for a few months to get a good idea of how it was going to work out. This is a very good refrigerator. The double door refrigerator section is very roomy with moveable drip proof shelves that meet most needs for space. We really like the LED lighting, it's very bright.The freezer drawer is large and deep enough to have plenty of storage but not so deep things "get lost" and the smaller storage drawer was a smart use of space. We really like the slate finish, much more than stainless, it's easy to clean and doesn't show finger prints. If we have any complaints they are that the compressor is a little noisy not so much you notice all the time, just when the house is dead quiet. The ice maker storage capacity could be larger, if you have a party you better lay in some bagged ice and lastly we have had the refrigerator for just a little over 5 months and the water filter needs changed already, seems a bit soon compared to our old fridge but not a big deal other than the $45 cost of a new filter. All in all we like the refrigerator and would recommend it.

Refrigerator was delivered on May 2, 2017. I tested the Kuerig function a couple of days later, but the refrigerator wouldn't heat the water and I kept getting an error message. It took a week for the GE repairman to come fix the problem and the day before he arrived, my freezer completely thawed and ruined all my food. When the repairman arrived, he stated that the control panel needs to be replaced. I am still waiting on an estimated date of repair, as they do not know when they will be able to get the part. In short, I paid $2775 plus $250 for the Home Depot warranty on a refrigerator that is less than 30 days old and not working properly. I called Home Depot four days ago to discuss returning this lemon, but the manager has not called me back. Buyer beware.

Product broke one week after installation. If I could give it less than 0 stars, I would. Tried to get GE to fix and they told me I have to wait 2 weeks because techs are too busy. I explained I have water all over the floor and was told to get someone (I would have to pay for) to turn off the water. Gave me another number in case there was damage. Third party techs have to wait a week and that's not including the time to get a part. No one can call me back in dispatch because they were "closed." I should have called earlier (sorry, it broke at the end of the day). No supervisors were available to speak with me. I was offered the option of paying to have it fixed and they would reimburse me. Sure. I've been a loyal GE customer for 25 years and have never been treated so shabbily. Horrible. Buy something else and save your money. Piece of garbage. And piece of garbage service. I will ever buy another GE product again.

I read many reviews about this refer and many other brands..I was given a refund for a Frigidaire Gallery series side by side that was less than 1 year old..Leaking from the ice maker hose that was messed up by a tech HD sent out in LA. Not HD fault..but the techs in LA are literally horrible, don't speak English, and are worthless..Anyway I decided to upgrade and pay double (from $1500 to $3000) for this GE Profile French door refer...Had it one week and it is AMAZING!!! No comparison to the Frigidaire. Reviews said it was loud when the compressor's were on and that is not the case at all! It's quiet! The LED lighting inside is fantastic and the way the storage compartments are in the Frig and freezer...they are perfect to view foods when stuffed to the brim! Also it has a Keurig cup maker which also is amazing and I was able to give away my stand alone machine to clear for counter space which is crucial in a small kitchen. BTW..I researched major all brands...and this one received many awards on different websites. And another side note..we are in a condo now, but recently sold our home of 26 years and in it we had a 42" GE built-in fridge which was 18 years old also performed for all those years..only had to replace the compressor at like 14 years old...Great frig..So I had already had a great experience with GE..Love this frig!

For $2700.00 this is the cheapest built Fridge I've ever known, the set up guys placed it in the house and left. I had to remove the tape and plastic. They didn't even level it. since it's been here I have cut my hands on the sharp edges on the bottom of the shelves. the deli/meat drawer will not stay on its track and the door will not close when it's off the track. most everything in my freezer has frost on it. I reported it to home depot and asked them to come back and get it, but you only have 48 hours after delivery for them to come and remove it. it took that long just to get it cooling. DO not purchase this fridge.
