The old coil cook top went out and we needed a new one. This fit the Bill with the downdraft that was needed. Looks great and makes the kitchen look more updated. Love it!

Pretty easy to install, wiring was a small challenge but nothing to really complain about. The stickers on the cooktop were a pain, especially the one that says “clean with included cleaner before use”. I used goo gone and a microfiber towel and it took care of it, and the used the included cleaner and pad. You have to put some pressure on the microfiber towel to remove the cleaner. It’s like car wax, keep buffing it will come up. If not it appears to be tiny scratches, which it isn’t. Buff again. Haven’t used the stove to cook yet, so when I do I may report on the performance. So far pretty nice.

The install was very easy and the look is great. I do wish the foam gasket was twice as wide. It would’ve been nice if GE included the bracket kit to prevent the cooktop from shifting if the cutout is slightly larger than the cooktop. Very satisfied so far.

Although I find the cooktop to be an excellent product, the installation was a nightmare. GE didn't care what a nightmare it would be to transition from a rectangle to a round ventilation duct in 11 inches of space. I was so disappointed. I had to order a particularly short 90º angle transition to make it work. Shame on you GE for having a let them worry about it attitude.

Amost 5 stars. Only thing missing is control knob area needs to have back light.
would suggest lock/unlock knob be replaced with 3 position switch with third position act as a control knob area light. kind of hard to see dial numbers without light. Otherwise cook top is perfect. exhaust fan very impressive. elements heat up quick too.
