Fast heating, great cooking, easy cleaning
We wanted a cooktop that would provide the higher heat and quick recovery necessary to cook Chinese food. We considered a gas cooktop, but decided that induction would better meet our needs and be easier to clean. The GE induction cooktop has met all our expectations! We like the lock feature which prevents accidental turning on a burner; it's a great safety feature and is especially useful when cleaning the cooktop glass. Cookware comes up to desired temperature very fast and changes register quickly.

Disappointed..glass cooktop scratches easily
The glass stove top scratches very easily. We have new cookware and clean the surface of the cooktop prior to using. There is nothing abrasive on the surface when cooking, the pans are not slid across the surface but we have 2 scratches within the first week.

As a new user of induction cooking, I have to say it is more than expected. The cooktop replaced a 20 year old Monogram. The unit dropped right in and was cooking in under an hour.
The burners are very generous in size and will make all manner of cooking more pleasant. I do some canning in the summer and am very pleasantly surprised by how much more can be accommodated. The 11" burner is plenty for the 16 quart water bath pan and it heats fast and holds it. I recommend this unit for serious cooktop users.

Amazingly fast!
I have cooked on induction before but never owned one. I have to say I wish I had been cooking on induction sooner. It heats up super quickly, medium size pot of water in under 2 minutes. It maintains a consistent heat throughout the whole cooking process. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Love this cooktop!
I purchased this cooktop and love it. It heats up very quickly. Water boils fast. The only downfall to this is I wasn’t aware that induction meant you need “special pans” that work with it. The pots and pans have to be magnetic in order for the cooktop to work. Other than that, I love this appliance.

Goes well with the remainder of our Profile Series
We purchased this unit to replace a unit that had seen its last days. We are very pleased with the match of the older Profile units. The upgrade to the Induction unit works better than expected.
