[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right off the bat, this tool is for electrical work. While GEARWRENCH equals automotive tools, this particular one isn't intended for automotive work. Still, torque screwdrivers are an important tool. Properly torqueing down connectors in a panel is very important. Having your connections too loose or too tight is a recipe for problems. Unfortunately, this tool just doesn’t make the grade. It is NOT insulated. Everyone should use insulated tools when doing electrical work, no matter how experienced you are. The build of the handle is solid, but you risk exerting too much torque with it. I’m not sure about the ¼” pass through feature and I would never use a torque tool to break a stuck fastener. Also, the pass through seems like overkill. One can only apply the max of 6 NM which is only slightly under 4.5 ft/lbs… you really have to be careful. Lastly, I wish the torque markings were etched on. Should the paint rub off, it would be very difficult to use the tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Gearwrench torque wrench on multiple fasteners. It locks on 1/4 inch hex bits with an easy pull of a collar. Setting torque is achieved by compressing the straight knurled ring and rotating the trilobular handle. Torque can be adjusted from 1-6 Nm (8.8-53.1 lb in) in .1 Nm increments. You can torque fasteners clockwise until the grip cams about 60 degrees in rotation confirming your setting has been reached. Finally a quality feeling tool that gives you confidence to torque smaller fasteners to specification.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has proven to be a indispensable tool. I keep finding more and more uses for it. It is a must for electrical work not having to guess the torque settings on breakers and neutral bars along with other fittings. As for plumbing being able to precisely tighten well pump clamps as to not over or under tighten is great. The fact that it takes interchangeable and replaceable bits is a big plus and the driver can eject the bits for quick easy changes. Unlike a click type torque driver you cant over tighten with this one because of the cam action a real +++. The adjustment scale is very easy to read and to set along with the handle being of a comfortable and soft grip. It come in a nice storage case that holds it secure. This is a Great Tool and I only wish I had one sooner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sometimes work with electrical connections on circuit boards and with soft parts such as nozzle on 3d printer. It is easy to strip a brass part in an aluminum block making for a really bad day or destroy a connector on a board that cost a few hundred dollars. When the torque is less then 50 inch lbs it is hard to tell the difference in too tight and too loose even more so when you take vibration in consideration. While this is not a tool for everyone it is a tool that more people should have and probably would have if they even knew it existed I for one will make sure I am never without it. As to a review vs other torque screwdrivers I have used this one is the nicest one I have tried. The soft grip handle makes the screwdriver comfortable in your hand. The socket for a 1/4 drive ratchet can be handy if your on the upper end of the torque or just feel more comfortable with a ratchet. The settings are easy to read and it comes with a nice case with padding that saves it from be banged around in your toolbox.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally when it would come to buying a torque product I would completely overpay thinking that it would lead to some “superior quality”. This Gearwrench torque screwdriver is as quality as it gets. It feels well built, and is very comfortable in the hand to use. This lower torque model is perfect for precise low torque use on any applications in my opinion(especially aluminum work) and is a pleasure to use. The 1/4 driver on the end cap of the handle offers even more leverage and controllability.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with the build quality and features. The torque setting is very easy to change with 1/10 increments in between. The locking collar keeps the bit in place (I could not pull it out by hand) and ejects the bit when you intentionally push the collar forward. The quarter inch drive slot in the rear of the handle is a very nice addition that I did not expect to see.

First off let me tell you that this thing is second to none. Once again GearWrench exceeded my expectations. The truly do a remarkable job on their products. If your looking for the perfect torque screwdriver then look no further! The price is right for the quality and craftsmanship put into this unique torque screwdriver. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve taken my time reviewing this Torque Screwdriver. As Snap-on being my main brand, I just can’t believe the quality of this Gearwrench tool. The feel of it in the hand is actually nicer than the other brand. It is also very precise in the settings. I’m actually turning to the Dark Side of tool brands.

It is nice to be a bit more accurate with the torque on screws and bolts. this little tool may save you the trouble of stripping out screws on A/C units.

Everything from class 8 trucks to working on firearms makes it awesome. The people at gearwrench really have their stuff together. I can't wait to see what they have coming out later in the year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a well made tool with easy bit insert and removal. Torque adjustment is a simple unlock and twist to desired setting. Handle Grip has a large OD and comfortable. It could have been a little longer for my hands. Torque settings are easy to read. 90 day warranty seems a bit short for this quality of product.

I took it to work to show it to my fellow colleagues and they liked it because the grip just feels good in the hand. They liked the color and the power it has. I would really recommend this tool because it has everything you need when it comes to industrial work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I guess it works, I just don't have any specs on NM. My scope mounts and scope all are listed in inch pounds, so I have to go back to my other brand torqueing screwdriver when dialing in and setting up my scopes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this as a review promo wish it was in standard measurements not metric . But overall good product would buy one but in standard for faster set up good for multiple screws at one time using for terminal strip screws so all are torqued the same

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son and I were doing some work with small machine screws that required low torque. I do not have anything that would torque those and it was kind of a delicate operation. So when the opportunity came to get this torque screwdriver, I jumped on it. Right out of the package I could tell that it is a quality product. It does not include any bits but I have plenty of those so that doesn’t bother me at all. We went to use it and it was awkward at first. There is not much of a click when you reach the torque. Rather, the screwdriver slips at the torque. Since we were torquing Phillips head screws, it felt like we were slipping on the screw. Once we figured out how the screwdriver functions and realized we were just reaching the torque, we both felt the way the screwdriver works was excellent. Very obvious when torque is reached once you get the feel. My only complaint would be that we were torquing with pound-inch specs but the screwdriver is in newton-meters. Not really a big deal since I just asked my phone, “How many Newton-meters is 20 pound-inch?” and I was ready to set the torque (which, by the way, is very easy to do and locks in great). I would highly recommend this tool to anyone looking for a torque screwdriver. We are confident that we will not be over tightening the screws any longer.

It is really stressful trying to installed a wiring harness on a diesel engine, when you get to that point were you need to tight does little nut with out broke the little studs on the injector. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great wrench for those Torque specs that are too low for a standard wrench. The storage case it comes in is nice. The unit is very simple to use. The feature of being able to attach a ratchet to the unit is great. You're also able to use a standard open ended wrench to tighten.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went in knowing this torque screwdriver was meant for assembling delicate electronics and low torque applications. But what I was surprised by, was the absolute quality feel this screwdriver has. The weight of this alone lets you know this is a quality product. Although not a conventional use for this driver, I have found this is the perfect driver for driving screws into particle board and MDF as it will keep the screw from stripping out. Also, this is a must for anyone with an RV or travel trailer as the majority of the construction is MDF and has a tendency to strip the fittings over repeated re-tightening. My only suggestion would to have a higher torque setting available for more range of use as 6nm only equates to about 4 ft lbs and may limit the usage application.

(Electrician) A lot of the equipment I install has a torque requirement that is too low for a standard torque wrench. That is where this screwdriver comes in handy. Of coarse I only use it on non-energized equipment.
