This thing is basically a dump truck!
I bought this a few weeks ago. Not sure about those complaining about the assembly, it was pretty simple and I did it in about 20 minutes, even with the "help" of my 3 year old (which made it take longer). Anyway this last weekend I used this thing to haul 3 yards of loam that was dumped at the street out to the back yard to fill some garden boxes. That is about 6,000 pounds worth! I had to fabricate a basic connection piece to attach it to my riding mower and turn it into a dump trailer, simple wood board about 3 feet long. The tires rode nice and handled full heavy loads. The plastic dump body is rugged and sturdy, very satisfied with the quality of this thing already. Now that the big hauling job is done I look forward to re-attaching the handle and using it as a regular garden cart. I looked at other ones before this that were about $20 cheaper but the body was flimsy plastic that would not handle what this cart does, spend the extra $20 and be happy you did.

And to think I was even considering replacing my antique wheelbarrow. What a mistake that would have been. Hands down a much better utility wagon than an old fashioned wheelbarrow. Effortless pulling of heavy loads now a breeze. No fear of tipping it on uneven terrain, of which, I have much. Neat little complete dump of fill feature pretty handy as well. Extremely happy with my choice. I would say that I'm more than happy, but as good old George used to say, if you are more than happy, you gotta go away. lol.

Needed something to cart pavers to back yard from driveway. I am 66 year old female and this cart was easy to maneuver filled with 12x12 blocks even through grass. This was a life saver. Love it. Would highly recommend. Only wish handle would fold completely down for storage.

I am a 70 year young woman who now lives alone and who loves to work in my flower gardens and do yard work. I had been using my soon to be ex-husband’s worn out, bent to hades, too shallow to hold much, wheelbarrow which was cumbersome to maneuver as I am only 5 ft. tall. I saw the Gorilla Cart on Home Depot’s website and realized this was just what I needed. It was delivered within 3 days, was easy to put together and has made doing gardening/yard work so much easier. It’s a tough 4 cu. ft. cart that can carry a large load of landscaping stones, bags of soil, plants, etc. while rolling along over my lawn very easily. It’s deep enough that I can mix various soils together for my plants, carry multiple tools and just needs a quick rinse with the hose when finished without worry of rusting. I recommend this cart for anyone who loves gardening, etc.

      thought it was great
Just bought it today, put it together per the instructions, used it to move 3 loads of dirt and the pin that holds wheel on fell out and the wheel Came off. Of course in my big yard a small brass pin disappears. Maybe the company should find a better way to hold the wheels in aside from a pin with no cotter pin to kept it in place

This is really a good garden wagon. I gave four stars instead of five because a different recommendation of tools would make the assembly easier. They recommend a 13mm box wrench and an adjustable wrench (for one very large nut). I took a look and said "Naah!" I used a ratchet wrench with a 13mm deep socket. Socket depth is not really necessary but the length of a deep socket makes it easier to use the ratchet for two specific nuts. Instead of an adjustable wrench, I used slip-joint pliers as the slip joints make it easier to hold the nut tight while turning. I also used a hammer! The bolts that go through the bed have square heads and they're deliberately snug in the hole. You manually screw them in but the last 1/16" requires the tp of a hammer. See photo. As far as usage is concerned, it performs exactly as advertised.

Gorilla Carts 4 cu. ft. Garden Dump Cart - a Home Depot Seeds Program Review Over the years I’ve had several garden carts but, like many things, use, abuse and time take their toll. It was time for a new cart and this Gorilla Garden Dump Cart seemed pretty nice. The bed is made of a poly material so I don’t need to worry about rust or rot, it holds quite a bit and it dumps! I’ve had the opportunity to assemble other Gorilla products and this one was as easy as the rest. The instructions are clear with lots of pictures and all of the hardware is sealed in blister wrap and grouped in order of assembly instructions. Frankly, you wouldn’t need to read a word to assemble and it could probably be done with no instructions at all. I like Gorilla’s assembly process. The frame and handle are a coated steel and where they meet other parts they’re separated by poly spacers, latches, etc. Since no metal rubs metal there’s little chance for exposing the metal to a rusting environment. The metal frame is very sturdy, the poly bed is quite rigid and the cart, according to the documentation, will hold 600 pounds. I can’t imagine pulling that kind of weight but I guess it’s possible. The bed capacity is 4 cubic feet (heaped capacity). The wheels are 10 inch pneumatic and roll over very loose, moist ground without sinking in significantly. The wheels have a 24 inch base making the cart very stable, even on a slope, without tipping. The cart pulls easily and the handle allows for a zero turning radius. One of the best things about the Gorilla Dump Cart is the ability to dump! It doesn’t just tip up and allow you to scrape out the contents – you can easily turn the bed completely over to empty the contents of the bed. It’s actually a pretty interesting design. I’ve had no problem carrying bags of soil around the yard and loading pulled weeds for disposal but the most use has come from hauling the grandchildren around the yard. There’s probably some legal disclaimer saying I shouldn’t do this but it’s a very stable cart I I have not seen where they could move or position themselves to cause a tipover. They love the ride! If you don’t plan on doing something similar, don’t put them in the cart and start pulling them around!! The biggest issue I’ve seen with this Gorilla Dump Cart is the lack of a brake of some sort. The wheels roll freely and the cart will roll away on even a slight incline. I end up turning the handle as best possible to keep it from moving but some sort of brake would be nice. This Gorilla Garden Dump Cart is very nice and I expect it to last many seasons. The metal frame and thich poly bed allow it to handle 600 pounds and 4 cubic feet. The wide wheels are pneumatic and don’t dig into soft soil. The wheel base is wide and the cart doesn’t tip easily. Best of all the cart bed dumps – fully – easily. The assembly is easy and quick. The only thing I would like to see is some sort of brake to keep the cart from moving on any incline.

Gorilla carts are just awesome. I use and abuse mine for all sorts of projects around my home. I initially purchased one on a HD special buy and have since got 2 more and am proud to add another one to my fleet of carts. This is an updated one to a previous model I think and the small update increase the ease of dumping the contents by a strong yellow unclip handle that fully dumps onto the ground. There is even an update to the cotter pins on the wheels with a new insert and lock snap down ring. It’s pretty cool but watch your knuckles when flipping it down. The instructions are totally guy friendly and numbered in sealed plastic with simple explicit drawings. It took me 30 mins using a 1/2 ratchet and larger 23-32 hex ratchet. It has rubber tires 10”,4 cu feet of space, and can take 600 lbs. I already used this one to haul bags of pea gravel since my other 3 are in use. Glides over grass, pavement, dirt , and stone and dumps with ease. When not in use I use them to collect rainwater and recycle to feed plants etc. They stay outside year round and don’t rust or degrade and are the workhorse of the yard. It makes a GREAT gift for a birthday or new home!

This gorilla cart is a great addition to the landscape equipment collection. It won't eliminate the occasional need for a wheelbarrow, but it will significantly reduce the need. The cart was fairly easy to assemble following the " step by step picture instructions". The dumping feature is very convenient. The cart is lightweight, stable and easily transports dirt, mulch, landscape bricks and stones and yard waste. The cart body is not metal but is represented as durable poly (almost like a thick rubberized plastic). This is my first summer of use so I cannot yet comment on how it stands up over time to shovel scrapes, dropping heavy rocks into, and other "rough" use, but so far no complaints. It can be stored by standing it on end against a wall and it does not take up too much space. I got the smaller 4 cu. ft. model but it does come in a 7 cu ft model.

This cart is amazing! The best of both worlds between a wagon and a wheel barrow. Can carry your heavy loads up to 600 pounds with ease, even over grassy areas thanks to the pneumatic wheels. Plus can dump like a wheel barrow ( up to 300 pounds). The cart is solid as a rock and made of rust resistant materials. So bring on your gardening task, this cart can handle it! Easy to assemble and light weight.

With summer projects now on the horizon, I needed to breakdown and get a wheelbarrow to accomplish a number of yard tasks: cleaning my woodpile, digging up my sprinkler control valves to fix a leak, etc. All required I move large amounts of heavy materials from one place to another, dump them, and then start over. While looking for a small wheelbarrow I cam across this and am glad I did. Its low (21 in), narrow (22 in) profile makes it easier to load things into than a wheelbarrow and its dumping capability is a true bonus. The large pneumatic tires make it easy to maneuver over all kinds of ground and debris. The steel frame makes for a solid cart, and the steering of it makes for easy maneuverability, even in tight spaces. I keep finding more and more uses for it around my home; how I did without it I don’t know. Better than a wheelbarrow for the home! Two minor complaints: the first is that assembly (which was easy) took about 30-40 minutes, but most of this was due to the two support struts on the back end of the cart: they did not line up with the holes in the cart and I had to force them to line up so I could get the bolt thru the cart and into the hole on the strut. This could have just been unique to my cart but be aware (Note: do yourself a favor and use a socket set to assemble; a 13 mm socket works well and sped up the job). The second is that the top of the bolts are exposed in the bottom of the cart and while this may not present a problem, it could be if they have to be in contact with wet materials for an extended time (in my case, wet soil). They can be easily covered however. Overall, I highly recommend this cart; it is perfect for around the home and garden, and for many DIY projects. I wish I had got one of these sooner.

        WOW! ! !
I just picked this up at my local Home Depot. Assembly took under 20 minutes with assembly instructions very clear and concise. This IS a quality product. I can't wait to use it to haul dirt to my backyard and to use to transport other garden items. The material is of exceptional quality and the final assembled cart is most sturdy and appears to be able to haul up to the advertised 600 lbs. Highly recommended......

          Assembly
I have one arm. The plastic for the screws had the right interference to hold screw in place. Well designed! Took total of 25 minutes to assemble! Can’t wait to use it!

The Gorilla cart I purchased exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to assemble. I immediately put it to use. I have a large yard and considered a wheel barrow at first. The dump feature on the Gorilla cart cinched my decision. So far I have nothing but high marks for this purchase.
