Good I suppose....GRK the over kill

I bought a 45-piece box, and 19 pieces had Torx (star) heads that wouldn’t accept the provided but. I went back to Home Depot, but I had to cull three boxes to get a full 45 of usable screws.

On the seventh day God made GRKs, and it was good. If you want to instantly make two pieces of separate wood into one piece of wood that will never be separated without burning them, use GRKs. They are a magical mystical fastener which solve every problem that a contractor, handyman, or weekend builder could have. After discovering GRKs I slept better knowing that the things I built would never be torn asunder. BUY THEM. YOU WILL LOVE THEM. THEY WILL HOLD FOREVER.

These fasteners are amazing and not prone to stripping with the star bit. When using on hardwood/black locust deck it is necessary to pre-drill and using soap as lubricant is helpful.

They worked perfectly

I used these fasteners to rebuild some custom patio window screen frames that had been made from common 2 x 4 dimensional lumber trimmed down to 1 x 2-1/2 size. Two screws go through oversized holes drilled in the ends of both the top and bottom pieces entirely and then "bite" into the end grain of each vertical piece. And, boy, do these puppies bite. I marked and drilled 1/8" pilot holes in all the end grains and then used a T40 Torx bit on the end of a 3/8" drive speeder bar to set them. They dug into that end grain like they were born there and tightened up securely. Well worth the 75 cent price for each screw.

Good screws. Exactly what was needed. Would definitely buy again.

Easy to install and super strong! Even used them to pull up old post with a chain that were concreted in the ground!
