Leaks everywhere
Do yourself a favor and buy a different diesel can. The o-ring that seals the spigot to the can is easily deformed and leaks if you put even a small amount of sideways pressure on it. The design doesn't allow enough air into the can when pouring so you get a gush of diesel, then is slows to a trickle, followed by a big gasp of air, followed but a big gush of diesel, and on and on. Combine that with having to hold down the button with a spring that's way too stiff and you feel like your finger is going to fall off. Horrible, horrible, design.

Taking it back to the store tomorrow
Unusable unless you have three hands. I tried so hard to hold the can steady over my mower gas tank while at the same time pushing the button to free up the gas in the can. It's impossible. A second handle on the back might help, but there isn't one. There are replacement nozzles on-line that could probably help, but they cost upwards of 15 bucks, and since I already paid 23 bucks for this piece of crap I'm not going to bother. As for "spill proof," the moronic design makes it almost impossible NOT to spill fuel.
