The panels and corners are very easy to cut and finish. Installation is a piece of cake. To hide the screws on the front panels is very easy to do it. You don't have to be a pro on construction. Price is very affordable compare to real stones. I'm already planning some other projects with Genstone.

We wanted to let you know how happy we are with the GenStone fireplace project. My wife and I are over 70 years old. Relatives and friends who’ve seen it are astounded at its authentic appearance and the fact we did the project ourselves in less than a day. He answered every one of my questions and assured me the product was ideal for DIY installations like ours. After ordering samples we chose the Vanilla Bean color. He specified the exact amount of product needed and described how to cut the special tabs on the shorter pieces. He also explained how to stagger the edge pieces for a more professional look. Our shipment arrived in perfect condition, well-packaged to prevent damage. After practicing a few cuts with various saws on the sample product, I decided to use my Japanese pull saw for all installation cuts. Its thin blade and fine teeth cut straight and true, leaving no unsightly rough edges. I used my Dremel to rout out the end pieces to fit perfectly around our mantel. The project took about 8 hours to complete and was fun to do. What a dramatic improvement GenStone made to our living room!

We stuccoed our home a year ago and had some pop-outs added so we could add some stone. It took us a year to finally decide what product to use. We used the GenStone Northern Slate for our home and absolutely love it! We have had numerous neighbors stop and tell us that it looked beautiful. We couldn’t be happier!

We used the Coffee Stacked Stone to cover the old ugly concrete foundation around our house and we couldn't be happier! It was easy to install and super easy to handle. The measuring tool on the website was perfect (except I forgot to add the corner pieces but a quick call to customer service remedied that situation and we had them a few days later and were able to complete the project quickly!) I highly recommend this product and this company - everything was first rate and top quality.

This product is very user friendly, light weight, and looks like real slate/shale/sandstone. I prepared the wall, by removing the original siding, placing tyvek paper and taping the seams for about one hour. The next day, I installed the Genstone product (about 4 hours) to the porch walls with just 1 5/8" decking star screws and placing the sealant in the requested areas. See for yourself in the photos. Any homeowner can install this!

I wanted to spruce up the kid’s playhouse and so I only needed a couple of sheets of the stone. It made it look instantly better. I just used a backsaw to cut the pieces- no special tools needed. I’ll attach a before and after so you can see.

I installed the grey/black stack stone over the original wooden bar base so with the granite upgrade, led tape light and the Genstone stack stone by bar now looks fantastic. Installation was a breeze and what a difference!! We will now be moving to the fireplace accent wall to match. Bought this for my TV / Fireplace wall and could not be happier. Looks realistic and was super easy to work with, found small grey panel screws that hide in the shadows perfectly. I had a lot of detail cutting to do which was time consuming to measure out but the genstone cuts super easy with a basic hand saw or a table saw. Took me about 18 hours to install.

Great product to add a some flair to our basement. Perfect for a dramatic accent wall. Super easy to install.

Received this product last year before winter had a roofer install on my chimney came out really good now I’ve just started installation on the house myself and seems to be going very smoothly looks fantastic

I was looking for an artificial stone to put in my house behind my suit of armor. After checking out several brands I decided to use GenStone. Very pleased with the results. The panels are easy to work with and the look is fantastic. This was about a one day project. I used the trim piece along the top of the wall. The existing crown molding I painted a flat gray and butted the trim against the bottom part. Looks great.

I was delighted with the look and ease of install. I was concerned that cutting the overlap on cut ends was going to be tricky but it was simple with a hand saw. Friends and family were convinced it was real stone and couldn't believe how quickly I installed it on my own.

I recently renovated my screened in porch and wanted to add something extra to make it stand out. A few searches later, I found GenStone’s stacked stone panels and was sold! It was incredibly easy to install and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Definitely will be using for future projects!

Genstone which completely transformed my home. We moved into our new home in November. Although the living room has 14 foot ceilings, the sad fireplace surround looked cheap and needed a makeover. With Genstone, we were able to completely transform our living room with a wall to ceiling fireplace surround that accents the height of the ceiling. The Kenai stone looks like real stone even close up. It looks amazing and very high-end! Installation was easy saving us time and money. The interlocking stacked stone panels are very lightweight and easy to cut and install. Customer service was also excellent with a responsive and helpful support team. I am so happy. I finally have a living room that I really like now! We love this product so much we just purchased the column wrap to cover a tall column inside our home entry. Simply amazing and so unbelievably easy.

I was so excited to do this project I was a bit hesitant at first because no place around me sells Genstone but I spoke with a really nice man name Luke at the headquarters who walked me through everything sent me a lot of information and a few samples after that I ordered what I needed after he did all the math for me which was great and here is the end result!

Bought this imitation dry stack stone back in November of 2020. It went together perfectly with my custom design. I would recommend GenStone to everyone as an alternative to paying a mason along with the cost of stone material. I got a great product with great service and saved money... the completed look is second to none! TK

I HAD NEVER SEEN THIS PRODUCT BEFORE, BUT TOOK A CHANCE ON THE PURCHASE BASED ON THE REVIEWS. AM I EVER GLAD I DID! IT IS SO VERY EASY TO USE. THE "HOW TO" VIDEOS ARE VERY HELPFUL. I USED THE DESERT SUNRISE STONE TO BUILD A WALL IN MY RECORDING STUDIO, WITH LIGHTS TO BRING OUT THE COLOR AND HIGHLIGHT THE STONE. I HAVE ALREADY TOLD SEVERAL FRIENDS ABOUT GENSTONE!

I planned to build a very batman themed theater room and when I saw the iron ore, it was exactly what I wanted. It arrived and with each stack of the panel the room really came to life and added a fantastic depth and mood. Absolutely love the result and ease of cutting to paint touch up.

It was time for an exterior remodel of our home, so I did some searching on the internet for an exterior rock that we could put on the front of our house. I didnt want the cost or weight of traditional rock, but I did want something that could stand up to inclement weather and and the look and feel of real stone. That is when I discovered GenStone! I ordered a sample and once we had our hands on it, we were sold! It has now been installed and it looks absolutely beautiful! I cannot believe this is the same house we have lived in for 30 years! I will recommend this to anyone looking for an exterior upgrade to their home!

Purchased Kenai to replace vinyl siding inside a screened in porch. We could be happier with the outcome. The installation process is pretty easy with some patience. Making cuts is very easy and can be done a variety of ways including, table saw, chop saw, jigsaw and handsaw. When you cut intricate pieces that go around obstacles it’s best to cut it a little bit then slowly trim snd file it to fit. I used a trim rasp to make small adjustments and it worked great. I used PL premium on the back of all the panels. Since my application was on the exterior of the house but inside the porch the panels wouldn’t be getting any rain water so I did not use waterproofing silicone in every joint. I used exterior 1 5/8” screws to fasten the positive shiplap and used 1 5/8 exterior trim screws to fasten the lower area of the panel thru the face. I purchased 2 kits of color matched caulk in anticipation of having to fill in the screw holes when installed through the face but it was not necessary. I would run the trim screws in the mortar joints on a diagonal and place them in spots where you cannon see them. The bottom panels closest to the floor would get trim screws going upward in a mortar joint and as the rows got higher I would start running the trim screws downward in the mortar joints. You literally can’t even find them if you look for them. Overall I was very happy with the product and install process. I added 10% to my estimated square footage then added a few more panels. I ended up having 1 full panel leftover after install. I would definitely recommend this product and would use it again. I cannot report the products durability because it’s only been up for a few weeks snd it is not exposed to the weather.

I compared Genstone to competitors and Genstone by far is the most realilistic, as can be seen in the photos. Installation is a breeze with simple hand tools and dril for screwing in stone pieces. Genstone instructions and videos are very helpful as is their staff. Thank you! Jeff Lindo

I bought this a few months back for the fireplace. I was able to install it this past weekend. I still have to caulk and touch up paint. It looks awesome and was very easy to install. I viewed the videos before starting. They were a great help. Had more trouble figuring out the layout to install logs in fireplace than putting this up.

We used Genstone in our 3 season porch as a wainscoting. It was super easy to cut and install. We were worried about going around the electrical outlets but it was no problem. I chose to paint the exposed edges a dark gray and it looks great. So pleased with the outcome. Enlarge the photo to see the Genstone under the window.

We used the product on accent wall and utility room wall accent ... which have been getting compliments every time we show the house ... only did a small project but will for sure use on other projects as we found it saves so much time on installation costs !!! So glad we used genstone !!

Great product, lightweight, easy install looks like stone, they have all necessary accessory peices, I was even able to make extra trim peices out of the pannels.
