We have had a simple small rural mailbox for the last 30 years. The wife wanted a new one for Christmas. Really all we needed was a new post because it was partially rotted in the ground. But, after I erected a new post and found this beautiful Gibraltar mailbox at Home Deport. Wow, she was impressed. The box was more than her expectations. It didn't squelch my desire to give her another Christmas gift, but she said the mailbox was the best gift because we would be using it everyday for at least the next 30 years...So, all were happy, including the mail carrier who mentioned the easy to open and close door to the box.

Great product! Great price! We did a job where we built the post assembly. Then installed 13 mailboxes. We love these sizes of the mailboxs for midsize packages!!! As well as the decorative touches. Far exceeded my expectations Very happy!!!!

First impressions start at the street with curb appeal and this mailbox is Absolutely Perfect! Recently, we hand-made a mailbox post out of wood staining it for character. This Gibraltar Venetian Bronze galvanized steel mailbox completed the look. It has a rich bronze coloring, which compliments the color in the wooden post. The dimensions of the mailbox are 10.9" H x 8.6 " W x 22.5 D. It has more depth than width. Nice magnetic closure and decorative design on the door. Easy installation since replacing an existing mailbox. Assembled in the USA. Next, we are building a flower bed and starting yard work, this was a fabulous upgrade. Great product.

This is a good quality, steel, post-mount mailbox that is big enough to handle small packages but not so large that it looks awkward. It is just shy of two feet long and one foot wide and is the perfect size. It's black gloss paint finish looks nice and the door has a knob for opening. It is constructed of galvanized steel that is pretty solid. Looks and functions good!

Our old mailbox was taken out by our neighbor's moving trucks so it was time to replace it. We wanted to upgrade to something bigger than what we had because we get lots of magazines and packages that the poor mail lady had to fold up and jam in there and we were tired of them being all creased. We were not taken by the color at first but it grew on us. The mailbox is large and sturdy. The lid opens smoothly and the magnet holds it up securely. The flag is a brushed aluminum and looks sharp although we would have preferred red so it would be more noticeable. Installation is easy. I think you need a 1in. thick board that is 8in.x 11in. possibly to screw underneath to attach to the post. I used a 3/4in. MDF board I cut to fit and painted to seal it up. you may want to find some bronze screws for the side if you are concerned with zinc wood screws clashing with the bronze paint. Overall we love it and we think it is the best looking mailbox in the neighborhood.
