I bought rhis mailbox setup for my mom for Christmas. I finally got around to installing it.
Products required was mainly a 4x4. Well, if you use a 4x4 you will never get it put up. I had to custom build a 3.25x3.25 post for it. The box itself is super flimsy and cheap I doubt it will make it a single season. Not to mention the hardware... stainless mounting bolts... snap with the twist of a screwdriver. Either I am incredibly strong or everything about this box is junk. I also order the address stand for the top... just wow... i wasn't surprised after dealing with this hunk of junk to see that it doesn't fit either. Of course it comes with mounting bolts and bolt covers... had the thing fit it may have worked. But i had to use drywall screws to mount it. I will be taking it off come winter, I'm pretty sure a good wind will destroy it.. again junk.
The bolt covers... smh... one fits one doesn't. I would recommend you keep looking, the only thing this is good for is a smelly fire...
Oh, and it is so unstable i had to add a borad across the front to be sure it wouldn't just twist in half.

This mailbox and post are a great value. The look is quality. It is plastic but gives the appearance of a sturdy metal piece. Fooled my neighbors!!! HOA approves. From the point of practicality it is lower maintenance and more cost efficient if your mailbox is susceptible to impact from passing vehicles which is my issue. Why spend more to have some chucklehead whack it again? Looks more than great for a savings of up to $300 or more for aluminum or steel.

Good looking mailbox
Just as everyone else said, it looks really good in front my house. I had it installed a week ago so still looks fresh and new. Will see how it holds up in California sun in a year.
One thing to mention that I also bought the Gibraltar address number plaque. It’s not compatible!!! We glued it on top of the mail box instead of using the screws come with.

This BEAUTIFUL Mailbox & Post combination is extremely nice. It's very solid and very sturdy. Nothing cheaply made about it. I wasnt expecting it to be such high quality made because it was priced extremely reasonable. I dug a hole stuck my 4x4 in the ground with a little quick set concrete and then slid the black post and box over it and WOW it was set. That simple. I put mine at the edge of my flower bed by my front door. And have had many compliments from family and neighbors

Love my mailbox. Instructions say to put box together first. I had to take it apart to screw it to the post. The mounting holes are inside the box. Wasn’t a big deal to take apart since it snaps together. You can leave it together and use short screwdriver. But it was quicker to pop it apart and use my electric screwdriver then pop it back together.
