Basic stamped steel box. It fastens at the top only and doesn’t weigh enough to hold the bottom down. When you open the lid, the box pivots on the screw holding it to the wall. I installed on vinyl siding and perhaps a perfectly flat surface would work better. You get what you pay for.

Nice looking mailbox! The wall we mounted it on was brick, so the lid is easily scratched with regular use. Would have been nice to have mounting hardware included.

Right size and practical

Overall, I like it and think it looks great. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that the sheet metal is a bit thinner that I’d have liked. It has the potential to be dented without much force. What I love is the depth. I don’t have room for a regular width mailbox so I needed the vertical style. This one is as short as possible so I can see and reach in. Lastly, as I didn’t want the locking feature, I cut the locking flap off with tin snips and folded the raw edges down with needle nose pliers.

Bigger than it looks. I had to modify the way I mounted it on the wall to accommodate the recessed back of the box, but one piece of wood and a few screws and I was all set.

For the price you can't beat this mailbox. It's constructed of all metal and ready to go on wall straight from the box. 16$ for a mailbox is a great deal!!!!

Easy to mount on the wall an install the lock

I bought the mailbox to secure my mail. It is very inadequate for doing that. Because the mailbox is not deep enough you can easily reach your fingers in through the mail drop slot and pull out the mail without unlocking it. If it were five to six inches deeper than the mail would drop down far enough that you couldn't get your fingers in to grab it through the drop slot.

Exactly what we needed for a DIY project.

Great size for letters, has nice lock so you can keep your mail safe. One problem if you receive a lot of big mail eg. folder size mail won't fit inside. Otherwise good price.

You can still stick your hand in and get the mail out really not secure and you have to put the lock on your self.

I really like my new mailbox

It's sturdy. Easy to put together, but a pain in the rear to install if you aren't living in a house.
