Instructions should say to saturate the windows before you apply the film. Otherwise two people took no time at all to put up

The product seems to be doing the trick. Unfortunately, the videos and the instructions on the box do not match the instructions rolled up in the roll of film. Which we did not know until we were working on our fourth window because you have to unroll it all to get to those instructions.. Use lots of liquid on all sides and it is much easier with two people.

Followed the instructions, also bought the application kit. Product went on easy and works great.

This is the worst product out there. Almost impossible to apply to the windows without it sticking to itself, and once you have it on, it does not adhere, has cracks, and basically looks like crap from the outside.

Love the Gila Light window tint. This was recommended by the Gila customer service team to meet my specific needs: decent SHGC + low reflectivity + moderate tint. I am so satisfied. Took a few windows to perfect my technique, but with patience and commitment, I was able to do our whole house for $290. Much more affordable than bringing a pro in and we were able to keep our aluminum frame windows with 3/4” frames instead of spending a fortune to turn all our smaller windows into portholes with 3-1/4” vinyl frames.

Works great. Can tell a big difference in the amount of heat coming through the window. Installed on the outside pane of glass which made installation a breeze. Would buy again.

It was easy to install but alot of waste,wished we could have gotten more to closer to size of my windows.

It does not stick to glass with just water, no matter what the ad says!

This is not a review from someone that has never applied window tint/film. Also, for real, this is the very first bad review I've written about a Home Depot product. Recently I applied some very good tint in my nieces house. Unfortunately she couldn't remember where she got it. For the money, time, and frustration this product caused, I could have paid a pro to install a good product. Product is thin. Product easily creases. Backing is very difficult to remove. Even with plenty of spraying down. If you follow the directions which say to remove the backing before installation, the product will be completely ruined. Get a few inches started at the top, soak it well and work your way down. This will also reduce scratching as you are using the plastic spatula on the protective film. Will not stay put even with the suggested installation kit. Product scratches very easily. I have one positive point; It blocks heat fairly efficiently on a west facing window. However, it looks ghetto from the inside and outside. If you want to really put your patience to the test, this product will do a fantastic job.

Does a great job blocking the heat and seem to be well bonded to the glass. However, it is definitely a 2-person job to install. The tint sticks to itself easily and rolls backs on itself. The manufacturer would be well advised to roll the tint the opposite way to ease installation.

Returned to the store. Would not stick to window after dried.

Have used it in the past and works well. You don't notice it is on the window. Could not find it in the local Home Depot store even with employee help, but after calling the manufacturer I found that it was still available. After some digging into the Gila website I was also able to find it, but it's availability was not obvious. I had to know the name of the product and do a search to locate it.

I felt this product was much harder to work with compared to the static cling. I wanted this color but will not purchase anymore to do the remaining windows. I really like the static cling with a dark tint (orange box) but can't use on front of house.

Lack of clear directional tips makes installing the film a nightmare. If you don't spend some time on YouTube watching and learning, you better have enough extra because inevitably, you are going to mess up. Also note, GO SLOW... film is very delicate - creases and tears easily. Nonetheless, if you can live with installation imperfections, the results are worth it. There is a significant reduction in heat transmission during those hot summer days.

Covering a large glass area was more not easy for a first timer. The result did not reduce the heat transfer as much as I expected.

Film wanted only to stick to itself. I would not purchase this product again. While I was able to install it was very difficult to work with the film

Didn't know what to expect - seems to be working well - now just need my first electric bill to see how well!!!

You need 2 people to do a large window. It is very sticky and wrinkles easily Once on it seems to work well.

I was looking for a product to help control heat without being a reflective mirror on the outside and its done a great job. If you purchase the application kit and make to spray down the film well as you peel off the backing, it allows you to untangle the film if you get it wrapped on itself.

definitely helps with bring the heat WAY down in my sunroom. Not super easy to install; certain parts wanted to keep curling on the edges of some of the windows even thought I followed their instructions exactly. Also not a huge fan of how it makes the windows have a semi-mirrored look at night time. Overall though, it's serving the purpose of what I needed, and I'm glad I installed it.
