We got this UV blocking film because our cat likes to sit in sunny windows and he has started developing pre-cancerous lesions on his nose. The film looks great and blocks glare, which improves the view outside. We don't have the equipment to measure UV blocking, but trust that the reduction is sufficient to protect our kitty's nose. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the window film is a bit tricky to apply. Our first piece folded on itself when we peeled off the backing, which resulted in a permanent crease that looks like a strand of hair was trapped behind the film when we applied it to the window. We've done better on subsequent pieces, but still find that placing it on the window and squeegeeing out the air and liquid is a challenge. Despite the difficulty, the result looks very nice. We have purchased more to place on other windows.

Tried it several times and followed the directions to a tee. Edges peeled away and would not adhere to glass when dried. Also, bubbles like crazy. THEY SAY THEY GUARANTEE IT BUT THEY DO NOT!!!

The cling style window tint will not stick to some of the windows. The directions were followed correctly but it still detaches by the next day. It has been reapplied several times and also reversed and reapplied a couple of times. I have NEVER had this issue with any other Gila product only two of the four rolls purchased have not struck to the windows.

I’m Buy this film paper because I read review, but I’m pray for dont be many reflective, and from 1-5 the reflective ( mirror look ) is 1, but work AWESOME STOP THE heat sun

Stuff works, used it to cover some stairwell custom windows (12' x 120*) that face due west. It made a huge difference!

I’ve used the Heat Control film on my smaller windows and it was super easy to work with. For larger windows they changed the film and it’s much more difficult to apply. It creases and doesn’t stick.

Tedious to apply. You must clean everything thoroughly and use care and patience when applying but the product works well as a solar diffuser and looks great if you applied it properly.

This was a replacement of the film that was installed about 10 years ago on a west facing storm door. Great product, that is why I went back to it. It requires patience! That is why I gave it 4 stars.

I have very old windows that have no insulation. On the small windows the product kept curling on the corners. I used the recommended kit, but it would not stick. It worked beautifully on the larger window. I have not used it long enough to see if it will affect my electric bill.

I tried to put the Gile window film on my windows like I followed the instruction. The film kept getting curled on the edge of the top or bottom window. I am not very happy with them. I wouldn't recommend that brand. I am going to buy some films called Decorative Films online. It's very great and very easy than Gile!
