I purchased this Gilmour 100ft hose about a week ago. As soon as I pressurized it with water for the first time it looked like a twisted glazed donut. If this is what we call Made in the USA we’re in sad shape.

Heavy duty product: I agree on the plastic coating hoses. After each summer, you have to place it in warm area of the house for the winner from becoming brittle for the next season. Unlike the 1990 rubber hoses and still have it.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality. It completely split after just one season.

I live in Mi. It’s still too cold to use the hose right now. Will have to review in a couple of mos.

Heavy Duty? I feel that it is far from it. Purchased back this summer to replace the heavy 3/4" commercial hose that my wife did not like due to the weight. Is this hose lighter than that one, yes. As long as it is hot and sunny out, this hose rolls & unrolls ok. When the temp drops below 65F you have to fight it, doesn't uncoil easily. Kinks easy. Didn't measure it but it appears to be the stated 100'. Not impressed with this hose but I guess I'm stuck with them for a couple more years.

Kinked immediately, so not happy with the hose for $50.

The hose functions as expected except I was expecting it to be kink free but it appears it is not…otherwise it works fine.

An excellent product, stays flexible in the garage over winter, worth the price

As I already reported, the hose shows on the website with brass connectors. The hose that shipped had white metal (presumably aluminum). So, I rate this "good" but not "great."

It is lighter than other hoses of this material but I was in hopes it would kink less and be less likely to tangle. But it kinks like the others and is difficult in trying to straighten it out. Not easy to use.

When I got the hose home, I found someone had spliced the hose and taped it back together with duct tape. I didn't have time to bring it back yet, so it was useless.

Hose is light to carry- it’s kink resistant so this hose will kink. Resistant it the key word. To have a no kink hose, it would have to state that “Never Kinks “

Brand new and kinks badly, hopefully Home Depot will give me credit for a better hose.

This hose isn't worth half it's cost. It kinks at the slightest provocation.

This product is junk! It was a nightmare from Day 1. Words cannot describe how frustrating using this hose was. It is supposed to be kink resistant, but it is a tangled mess and kinks very easily, to the point of having no water pressure. Taking it back to HD.

Pros its llghter, aopears well built. The claims of anti kick is an ohtirght lie. It naturally kined in 3 seperste spots sfter I got ir unrolled. I had to really rank and pull on it hard to unn kink it. That being said i have the reallt heavy anti kick contiential hoses and those manage to kink while in use. As heavy as they are they are a paik to drag saroind. So I wanted/meeded lighter usa made hoses. It is a pet peeve when a company and or manufacturer makes a blatant false claim like anti kink when ir obviously wants to kink.

Lasted only one month before springing a leak! Started developing bulges under the coating and also kinks CONSTANTLY. Should have paid up for a better quality hose not by Gilmour.
