It works well as expected. The installation could have been easier. If the nuts for the bolts had wings on them that hold the nut in place while tightening, using pliers would not be necessary. I have seen these wings on others I have installed. When sitting on the seat with both lids closed (like for tying shoes) the top lid slides to one side or the other.

I recently bought a Glacier Bay N2316 toilet. Its a nice toilet for the money. I wanted to upgrade the seat to a quiet close seat. However as I found out this was simply asking too much. I don't know how in 2020, after hundreds of years of toilet making, the design of a toilet seat could be so pooped up. Here is the problem. The quiet close toilet seat has a flat underside, while the original seat is curved. The result is the quiet close seat wobbles badly and when you put weight on it, slips off to one side. Where the original seats nicely thanks to its curvature around the bowl. It should have been possible for the engineers at Glacier Bay to have solved this issue by shipping the toilet seat bolts with appropriately sized collet or spacer to take out the free play between the bolts and the holes in the porcelain... but they didn't. And now I will be returning the seat.

I selected this item because I have always liked the slow close toilet lid. You don’t have to worry about waking somebody up in the middle of the night because you lost your grip on the toilet lid. I had selected the white thinking it would match my toilet but found that my toilet is not a pure white. It is an older toilet and I found a biscuit color matched almost perfectly, is if it actually came with the toilet. Installation is really simple, just a matter of screwing the screws through the holes and tightening them down. Are used the hardware from my existing toilet lid because each of the nerds has a piece that sticks out that prevent it from turning while you’re tightening the screw. While the hardware that came with the toilet lid is adequate for installation, I found it easier for me to use my existing hardware. I noticed that the hole in the seat is smaller than that from my previous toilet seat. Also, the edges could have been smoothed out or polished a little better as It does tend to scratch a little making it a tad bit uncomfortable. I also noticed that while the lid does come down around the edge of the seat it does not cover it completely when closed. Also, since it is plastic, I do not recommend sitting on the lid when it is closed. While wood is sturdy, the plastic lid is flimsier and tends to give when pressure is put on it. As for being slow closing, it definitely is that. If you are looking for a slow closing toilet lid, and price is a factor, this just might be the lid you’re looking for.

While the mounting fixtures that came with the toilet lid are adequate for the installation, you still have to hold onto the nut while you’re screwing in the screw. I just found my existing hardware to be easier for me to use. I did notice that the hole in the seat is smaller than my previous toilet seat. Also, the rim around the inside of the hole could’ve been polished and smooth out a little bit more. It is a tad bit uncomfortable to sit on. And since it is plastic, I do not recommend sitting on the lid when it’s closed. Unlike a wood toilet lid, the plastic is not as sturdy and does tend to give when pressure is put on it. All in all, for the price, it’s a decent toilet lid. If you’re looking for a slow close toilet lid and price is an issue, this just might be the one you’re looking for.

The toilet seat is very easy to install. All you need is a straight screwdriver. Just remove old seat. Clean around holes if needed. Lift cover that is over the bolt holes from the front sides. Place seat on toilet with seat hinge holes over toilet holes for seat. Place washer on plastic nut and place on underneath side of the bolt that came through the toilet holes. Hold nut with one hand and use screwdriver to turn bolt and tighten nut snugged to the toilet. Close bolt covers. Mine was done in minutes. The Glacier white matched the Kohler white nicely. No more grandkids letting the lid drop and slam down on the seat.

Soft close toilet seat and lid eliminates the loud bang from accidentally dropping the seat and lid. Easily installed with included nylon screws and nuts. The quick release works nicely for easy tooless removal. Easier and better cleaning under the toilet lid. Nicely made material and shinny finish. Cons: The seat and lid are plastic, not wood. Do not stand on the seat and expect it to carry any weight. Strictly for sitting on and covering up the bowl. Also, plastic give more than a wooden seat, but is just something to get use to.

This round slow close front toilet seat with quick release hinges in white is a nice product. It comes with everything you need to install it and is easy to do so. The seat and lid are sturdy and close slowly to avoid the slap that you get when it’s jist dropped. It’s a nice feature avoiding the unnecessary noise of a dropped lid. It’s easy to clean and looks great.

The seat cranked in the front. We are debating if we should return and replace with a different manufacturer.

Just what we wanted!

Toilet seat moves off the toilet if u move your body ever so slightly. If you tighten it too much, it unhinges. Totally useless. I don’t see why Glacier Bay cannot make a toilet seat that fits on its own toilet.

The design is completely flawed because it uses all plastic materials. I nearly slide off of the toilet every time because of this flawed seat. And all the the maker can say is, "We're sorry this seat did not work for you." No, it's a flawed design. I'm getting in touch with the State Attorney General.

Very flimsy. Impossible to tighten enough that it doesn't constantly slide when you sit. I will replace it with a better brand. I was just looking for an inexpensive soft close lid. Truly a case of "you get what you pay for"

Closing mechanism worked well but seat still wiggled after tightening, Realized it was the hinge that was loose and returned it. Poorly made.

The caps for the screws doesn't close properly. Also its hard to use bio Bidet system with seat.

Slow close feature is nice, but the lid does not have the exact same dimensions as the toilet. As a result, sometimes your legs touch the bowl, which is why I bought a new seat in the first place. I thought a Glacier Bay toilet seat would fit a Glacier Bay toilet. I have their white wooden toilet seat in my other bathroom and that fits perfectly! Also, the quick release feature is is finicky, and sometimes quick releases when it is not supposed to. I have played around with different levels of tightening and have not been able to get it right.

Seat slides around when using supplied hardware. The provided flat washer and screw dont secure the seat in toilet holes allowing it to slide around. I used the old seat hardware which has tapered nut and fits tight into hole otherwise i would have returned this item.
