it will stop up the sink but it will not...
it will stop up the sink but it will not allow water to flow through as a strainer it's a useless piece of garbage don't buy it

I really hate these things!!! They are impossible to figure out and once you do they rarely hold ...
I really hate these things!!! They are impossible to figure out and once you do they rarely hold the water in the sink. Will be replacing these with others.

these fit my sink drains perfect. had to replace one in an apartment that I was moving out of. The apartment would have charged me $25 to replace. I much prefer Home Depot's price.

Clearly states stainless steel on web site and even stated on manufacturer package as stainless steel. It is not a stainless steel finish. It is a chrome finish just like it looks in the picture on the web site.

There is no chrome finish or polish that is applied to this strainer basket. This a stainless steel basket that tends to have a naturally brighter finish
