VERY easy to install. It makes my sink look so much better. The old ones looked horrid and nasty, no matter how much I tried to make them look clean.
I bought the house with a stainless steel sink, but the cup was cheap plastic and the strainer was not designed very well. It was very hard to keep it clean. The gaskets underneath the cup recently began to leak, and trying to get the old things off to fix them was nearly impossible. I had to have my 20 year old grandson come and do it for me.
The strainers do a much better job of catching the food debris that runs off the dishes, it hides the drain pipe itself, and it's very easy to clean the debris out of the strainer.
I particularly like the shape of the strainer and the height of the little handle in the middle. Both are an excellent design. The handle in the strainer remains flush with the sink when it's not pushed down for retaining the water. That tiny little feature makes filling my Pur pitcher much easier, since the pitcher can say level. I don't have to hold it steady anymore when I fill it, since it sits level in the sink. The old strainer had to be removed when I filled the pitcher, because the center handle was always in the way.
