I bragged about the fridge for first 2 years, as it fit well with my garage decor and did the job. Then it stopped cooling completely. Compressor runs and is warm but no cooling at all. It is a shame as the product had potential, but like some have said it may not be built for a garage. The 1 year warranty is also disappointing for the price of the fridge and for something that should last at least 7-10 years.

The entire premise of these products is deceptive. They are marketed as if they are designed specifically for garages however they cannot tolerate the temperature fluctuations that nearly all garages experience. Unless your garage is fully climate controlled, just as the inside of your house would be, this refrigerator will break down in less than two years. Refrigerators are clearly not made to last like they used to be. I had a refrigerator from the 80s in a carport for over 10 years without an issue. The company was accommodating enough to give me service on this refrigerator but I am not sure what good that will be long-term. Again, the most troubling thing about these products is that they are marketed to suggest that they can be used in a place where they cannot be used. If they were marketed to be in your basement, that would be less of an issue.

I waited about a year for it to be available and I'm glad I did. So far very pleased. Love how easily it rolls around the garage. Thinking about getting the matching freezer now.

I bought the Gladiator Refrigerator in Feb 2020. I stored it in my garage (I live in Central Ohio). By May of 2021 it was no longer working. As many reviews have said, this thing does not last very long. It is way too expensive to only last that long. It looks nice but doesn't work. Do yourself a favor and buy a cheaper refrigerator from your local hardware store. I'm sure it will last longer than this.

I had bought a first Gladiator refrigerator and it failed in about 2 years (beyond the warrantee). I thought it might just be a random problem and liked the other feature of the Gladiator, and bought a second Gladiator to replace it. It also failed in about 2 years. Quality control is apparently a problem here.

We bought the GARF19XXVK02 model manufactured in 2009. A top freezer bottom fridge design with dual loop heater. This design has kept the fridge items cold in hot summers and cold but not frozen in subfreezing winters in the Mid-Atlantic where we have extreme temp swings summer to winter. Never failed. Referred 3 neighbors who have same reliable performance. Was doing research to refer a 4th neighbor. The new model without the heater makes zero financial sense at that price point to put in a garage since the new design even has a warning about frozen content right in the description. The decision to change the design, apparently unreliable, and at an extreme price does not make sense. Probably why they are not making any during the pandemic and out of stock. Get a cheap normal fridge instead. Or, Whirlpool, go back to the original design of a reliable refrigerator/freezer combo that handles the extreme temperature swings of a garage. That will be the only way I will buy a replacement should mine fail. Bummed and disappointed in MD. Love other Whirlpool products though.

Door is rubbing when opened. Need to figure out why

The items I ordered, a freezer and refrigerator, are perfect for my garage. Yet, I was under the impression that it was "white glove" delivery and items would be added and to be used right away. Unfortunately, when delivered, drivers were not able or available to complete the purchase. 1. door needed to be reversed 2. casters needed to be installed and 3. door opening feature step needed to be installed as well. I called the store, they said it was not included. I ended up hiring a handyman. Very disappointing.

This refrigerator has a great design for the garage. It sits up high, it's easy to move on the casters, and the step-to-open pedal at the bottom is great. For those reasons and it being marketed as capable of withstanding the harsh temperature swings experienced in a garage... that's why I spent 2x on this refrigerator instead of a cheap basic model from my local home improvement store. Unfortunately, as so many other reviews of this model have mentioned, my refrigerator failed just outside of warranty. I got a good 18 months out of this refrigerator before it quit. The features of this refrigerator are excellent for a garage fridge; and for the price you would think high quality components would be used to ensure longevity, but no. It really is too bad because if Gladiator / Whirlpool would build this model to live up to the hype it would be amazing. My suggestion for a garage fridge at this point, go buy the cheapest model you can find and know you will replace it every couple years. Unless Whirlpool is willing to beef this thing up where it will actually last 5+ years in a garage, it's a waste of money.

This is, like it says, a "garage" refrigerator. I wanted an "all" refrigerator for my kitchen. The huge casters make it too high off the ground. They can be removed, but there are no real feet, just skids for it to sit on. It is not efficient for the kitchen. Luckily shelves & drawers from my old fridge fit so space works OK now. But it did die after nine months. They couldn't get anyone to come out & service it, so it was replaced. Hoping it keeps going. I had planned on getting the matching all freezer, but now I don't think so.

Died after 9 months. It was under warranty, so it was replaced. We use this in the kitchen. On the casters it is too high. But without the casters there isn't much of anything else there for it to rest on but these cheap looking plastic skids. Shelving is very inefficient. I stole extra shelves from the old fridge to add.

I bought the fridge freezer combo and waited 12 weeks. They sent subcontractors and these guys DID NOT KNOW how to affix the pedals and scratched my fridge. I have to have the company come BACK to fix everything. I paid 200 for them to screw it all up. I will say the customer service for Gladiator is excellent. Johnny was very professional and helpful!!!. He tried his best to make me happy which is a tall task.

Not as expected, waiting from company to pick-up refrigerator and get my money back.

Unit requires being laid on its side to add wheels. Foot plate is a bit difficult to attach. Nice room inside interior. Does not keep produce fresh compared to a SubZero. Produce that normally would be in prime condition for a 7-14 window aged out in 3 days. Beets, radishes, carrots. They were not kept next to any off gassing fruit that accelerates aging such as apples. Great frig for beverages ,eggs, & party trays

So far so good! Would like the electrical cord to be a little longer - unless you have the matching freezer, you may need more than one outlet to accommodate both this refrigerator and a chest freezer like we have. Inconvenient, but not a deal breaker.

This “garage” refrigerator is wonderful! Keeps the “ “drinks” at the perfect cold temp to pop one open and enjoy! I am proud of my “Gladiator”

No, it was delivered without the wheels or foot petal assembled and then I asked them to reverse the doors for correct opening and they only would do one door "running late" to next appointment! Never again!!!
