I primed almost 800 sq ft of ceiling with a total of 2 1/2 gallons of Olympic primer someone gave me that was almost 4 years old. The primer was still bright white & only took one coat. I had a few places to touch up but Gliden wasn't same color so decided to re-coat. BIG MISTAKE. OVER A GALLON+ of Gliden for 100 sq feet. Rolled both directions, never covered & streaked. I am not happy! Hope HD will make good. Gliden has always been good paint but not this. (Primer on left/Gliden on right)

this was the only ceiling paint a saw and for $15 to do some touching up I thought it was fine. it's not. paint is thin, doesn't cover anything and dries grey. maybe for cheap contractors this would be OK on new drywall but don't use it on an already white ceiling. this stuff is garbage

Perhaps the worst paint I ever bought. Took 4 coats to cover light pencil marks. Beads up in the paint tray.

The one thing you expect from a paint supplier is to get the color correct, well this ceiling paint is NOT WHITE. If you want your ceiling to look like you’ve been smoking for 20 years this paint is for you!

Wasted 6 hours prepping and painting my kitchen ceiling with this paint , it is GRAY!! DO NOT BUY THIS PAINT IF YOU INTEND TO HAVE A WHITE CEILING. It makes your ceiling look like Sheetrock before it is painted!!! What a waste of my day off!!!! I am so disappointed. This product should be banned since it’s false advertising.

this paint is terrible. I've put 3 coats on some light marks on the ceiling and I can still see them. This paint won't cover a single thing it seems. It does look gray when you begin, but does dry a little whiter it seems.

Like countless others have said, this is labeled white, but dries to a pale gray. See the attached photo. Our walls are pale blue-gray, the ceiling was white. The areas we painted with this Glidden ceiling paint are closer in shade to the gray walls than the old white ceiling paint! I will be returning this to HD this evening, hopefully for a full refund. HD should do themselves and their customers a favor and stop carrying it.

This is the worst paint I've ever used for a ceiling. It covered nothing as if I used water. Check out the picture. I want my money back lol its a joke

You get what you pay for when it comes to this but I thought that at least the color would be accurate. This paint is grey and goes on very thin. Not sure why the front of it says white. I wondered if someone had it tinted and returned it but both gallons are this way. Very disappointing. In the photo you can see the grey against actual white.

I was confused when this went of grey and thought it might dry to white. It did not. I don't mind this is grey, its not expected but it works for my room, but its super thin and doesn't visually cover anything at all even after multiple coats with 6 or more hours to dry between each. I can still see the previous owners attempting at painting the room white. Super annoying and disappointing from an other wise reliable brand.

Ceiling white means grey, not white. If you want white ceilings DO NOT buy this

I bought this last night at Home Depot and noticed it is 124 ounces. A gallon is 128 ounces. Thanks for trying to pull a fast one on us PPG Glidden. And thanks Home Depot for advertising this as a gallon. So lame! Just raise the price.

Looks great and goes on smooth

We recently installed new skylights during a re-roof of our home. The familyroom ceiling had been painted with Glidden ceiling white approximately 3 years ago. After blending in both the drywall texture and 2 coats of a new gallon of ceiling white, any hint of the newly added lightshafts literally disappeared. Perfect match, even 3 years later. Thanks Glidden!

This ceiling paint is definitely not white! This is my first time using anything that’s not a Behr or SW product on a job and never again!! Definitely not worth saving a few bucks when you’ll end up just spending MORE time and money doing it over unless you want gray ceilings!

I really thought it was me, then convinced myself it was my ceiling material (plain sheetrock). It's just really not great. It's super streaky and thick as pudding when poured but like water on the ceiling. It's like it's clear paint with a drop of white. Seems to have dried white, but I'm bummed I wasted 3 hours just to end up using an entirely different paint anyway. Based on the reviews, I think Glidden should maybe listen to all of these complaints and pull this product until they have a more solid solution for ceiling paint.

Well, I googled why my ceiling paint looks blue/gray and ended up here reading reviews that say the same exact thing! This is very disappointing since I now have to stop what I’m doing and go purchase a different ceiling paint in order to finish my project. Do NOT purchase this product if you need white ceiling paint... esp if your touching up an already white ceiling.

Should have read reviews before buying. It's gray. See photo. At lower left corner is part of my light grey wall. The ceiling paint matches the wall, not the white ceiling.....

I needed ceiling paint to do some patch ups through out my place. It went on gray. I thought after a couple of hours it would blend in with the rest of the ceiling. It didn’t. Trust all the 1 star reviews.

Only reason I bought because I was told it was only ceiling white in stock. It appears thick when pouring but goes on like water. Very thin and runny. Worst of all it’s grey not even close to white. Save yourself the trouble and buy another ceiling white paint.

I cheaped out buying ceiling paint, and I guess I've learned my lesson. This stuff is GREY. We started painting, went "that's not right" and once we got online we saw others had the same problem. Dreadful product, do not buy.

Was finishing up painting a ceiling and ran out of paint. Went to the store to buy more but couldn’t find the Valspar brand I had bought previously. So I bought this thinking it’s white ceiling paint, there shouldn’t be any difference. Boy was I wrong! This paint is thin as anything and is grey. How can WHITE ceiling paint be GREY!?! Waste of money and time. Horrible product!

Used on bathroom ceiling after replatered. Didn't put primer up first. Used stucco roller. Took 2-3 coats. Did the job! Looks good.

This ceiling paint really helped to get the job done. Was a good consistency and was not grey at all. I would buy this again!

The paint is thin and grey. I should have read the other reviews. In the photo, you see an actual white ceiling paint on the ceiling and Gliddens faux white directly underneath.

Right price, right level of performance.

I purchased this paint to cover up some work I had to do on my ceiling due to a crack. After taping, sanding and priming I applied the paint on the ceiling using a roller and boy was I surprised. I have used a lot of paints like Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams and I was disappointed in this product. Not only did this leave a patch due to a miss match with the existing ceiling but also did not do a good job with the blend and cover-up.
