Look at the details on this lamp
This is not dark bronze, its simply black, and then why add a switch that isnt dimmable, but home depot suggests to buy a bulb that is dimmable. This lamp is not dimmable

Makes for a nice wall sconce Light above the fireplace....
Makes for a nice wall sconce Light above the fireplace. Easy to hardwire for a clean and professional installation and the on/off switch was needed because of the lack of a wall switch to the existing junction box.

Good quality light fixture
Easy to install. Good quality plug-in light fixture for a low price. I think a frosted glass shade would diffuse the light better than the clear glass shade it came with. It has a clear cord and it doesn't stand out like a dark cord would. A metal cord cover would be another nice feature, yet I didn't expect it at this price point.

Made very cheap.
Made very cheap and the instructions are worthless. Tried the loosen the arm to swing easier and the bolt broke in half. Would never buy a Globe product again!

Plug-in Installation Flimsy
We used heavy duty anchors to secure the screws, but it really needs screws on the top not just the sides. With glass lamp shade attached it pulls from the wall still. Also the rotary switch doesn't work, going to keep it because the use for we can unplug from wall with just a little annoyance.
