...i almost didn't buy it because of the price...glad i did anyway! this filter is AWESOME...super easy to clean, nothing gets past it, truly a once and done filter - IF you don't abuse it. i had some concerns because the little wing nut on the bottom of my stock filter had nowhere to go - don['t worry about it. this filter won't fall off (unless you're doing some high speed vacuuming on a gravel road). cleaning is simple, tap it out. to remove what doesn't fall out of the filter riffles, simply hold the filter horizontal, and use your other hand to GENTLY stroke against the folds and the dirt/dust, will fall right out.

Pros Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, Easy to Install, Stylish Cons No Instructions

  • Filters very well and doesn't choke off vacuum until its really clogged

I use this in a Ridgid shop vac and it performs really well. There is no dust blown out the exhaust. It seems to take forever for it to get clogged. And cleaning is pretty easy, just knock it on its side to knock loose most of the dirt in the pleats. Next just rinse is with water on the outside to get the rest out. Just remember to not use compressed air or a brush to clean it. it is pretty easy to loosen or knock off the coating on the outside of the filter with a brush or if you get to close with compressed air.

Pros Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design Cons fragile and easy to damage if you clean it wrong

I would say the easiest filter to change no wing nut and cover just the filter press on fits snug no need for securing nut. Wonderful design you got this one right and good value for the price use as a dust collection system filter and air quality is very good!

Pros Durable, Easy to Clean, Lots of Features, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, Easy to Install, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design Cons is well priced no rear objections to this product

I like not having to throw away a disposable filter all the time. I had a similar one when I had a Craftsman wet/dry vac years ago. I haven't had to wash it yet ,but I'd rather wash one rather than throw it away.

Pros Easy to Use, Easy to Install, Easy to Clean, High Quality

Whomever believes that this will fit the red craftsman vacuum as stated on the box is smoking crack. I spent a lot of money on this and it didn't fit. Ugh.

I use this filter on my Ridgid 12 ga 5 hp wet/dry vac. I have only used it for dry applications thus far. It has performed very well and I have not noticed any loss of suction or overheating since I have used it the past 6 months. I use the Vac mostly for vacuuming fine dust particles such as paint and drywall dust and I always use bags. I have taken the filter out and tapped it lightly on some wood outside to try and remove some of the surface dust and although there seemed to be a lot it did not seem to impede the air flow and I only assume it is doing its job. Overall I am happy with the purchase and I feel it was a great buy in protecting and prolonging the motor of the vac.

  • Best wet-dry filter ever made

I have owned my Clean Stream filter made by Gore Industries for over twenty years. No matter what I vacuum up from glass shards to muck from the bottom of our pond, this filter has never been damaged. Take it off the mount, hose it off, let it dry and it is good for another year or more. For the price, you cannot beat it. My original Craftsman filter lasted about a year and I replaced it with the Clean Stream. I use mine on a Craftsman Vac and purchased one for each of my sons and step sons Rigid vacs. When you calculate the cost/year of use, this is the least expensive and best filter available..
