You can go without painting over it but i wanted a bright white finish rather than a primer white, as it comes (dull white) and any seems showing a gap disappear with paint. That said, need to be careful trimming after you have hung it, will tear easily. Finished its gorgeous!

I really wanted wainscoting in our cabin in the woods, but boy is that cost prohibitive. This was a great alternative, looks amazing and nearly impossible to tell it's not the real thing. It was easy to install the glue was super quick acting as soon as you put it in water. I was really pleased with the entire process and really happy with the results!

First time applying wall paper, it was a bit tricky but manageable. I like that it has actual texture and not just a print. I had to take one section off and do over again the next day, and it came off really easy by wetting it. Have gotten a few small tears in it from the wooden shelves I installed, but still in the middle of this project and hopefully it will be more durable once I paint over it. Overall happy with the look so far!

It looks absolutely wonderful and as described. It’s not the wallpapers fault, but make sure your walls are completely FLAT or this design will look funky in some areas.

This stuff is awesome!!! We used it with trim to update a cheap hollow door. It looks amazing!

This was the absolute worst quality wallpaper I have ever used and I have been wallpapering for years. It was supposed to be for walls not in very good condition, but it shows every tiny bump, because it’s so thin. It tears incredibly easily, so I had a lot of waste. I have no fingernails and even my short nails would stick through it. I’ve never seen a wallpaper tear as you are folding it during the booking process, but this does. Also it tears along the beadboard lines as you are putting it up and it is unevenly colored. Cuts very poorly and truly is awful. This stuff is the reason peel and stick was invented! Do NOT recommend!

I used this for the half wall below my kitchen dining counter. Although not a focal area, this beadboard wallpaper created the texture and pop that definitely raised it above a simple painted surface.

Love the look of my new bathroom with this beadboard wallpaper. I really could not be happier! I measured and cut as much as I could before wetting it; and after applying, I waited until the next day when it was dry to trim it. I would have needed a contractor to install wood beadboard and this job I was able to do. I am attaching before and after photos. LOVE IT!

A little hard to work with, tends to tear when wet. But it looks beautiful after applied. I painted it a satin white and could pass for bead board.

I’m very happy with the results. This paper is thick and feels like heavy paper (not vinyl). There”s plenty of paste on the back. I covered my dining room table with a vinyl tablecloth and sprayed the back of the wallpaper with water using a spray bottle. I do recommend a new blade for trimming. I found the paper frayed a bit where it was cut even though I had a new blade. I solved the problem once the job was done by running a bead of caulk around the edges and wiping lightly with a damp sponge. It looks beautiful. Although it does not require painting, I do plan to put an eggshell paint on it in a week or so when its had plenty of time to dry.

Very nice wallpaper! As a result of being soaked to activate the paste it becomes very fragile so be very careful or it will tear. I plan to use wallpaper paste next time. I put 2 coats of white paint on it which made it look and feel more like actual beadboard. Very pleased!

Love, love, love this product. I am so very happy that I took the chance on this product to update my kitchen. It was so easy to put up, painted nicely, and is easy to clean when things splatter on it. Such as great idea that is easy for a kitchen backsplash!!!

I have used this for several projects in my home: my kitchen cabinet doors, kitchen wainscot, and walls in two bathrooms. Projects are all beautiful and everyone thinks I used real wood beadboard. The wallpaper is thick and heavy. Dunk in water for less than a minute, book it for about a minute and it sticks securely to whatever surface it is being applied. Easy to keep clean; easy to paint. Has been on my walls for more than 5 years. The price is reasonable. I have attached photos, but they don't show how really beautiful the finished rooms are.

Great new addition to our laundry room (hopefully soon to our dining room)! We purchased the wallpaper adhesive and the smoothing tool (as home depot recommended). We later found out we did NOT need the wallpaper adhesive as the paper has adhesive (needs to be wet) itself! It took a few tries and practice to get the hang of it, here's what I learned : - MOVE FAST, it dries quickly (we have 9' ceilings), and DON'T do a few feet at a time, do the whole sheet (if you do it this way you will get a LOT of bubbles in the middle) - Use the smoothing tool to brush down and out to remove bubbles - Do the edges last, and add adhesive glue if you need additional - CUT BEFORE you wet (for outlets, etc) the paper will year easily - When adhering it to the wall line up the edges FIRST

Beautiful product. Looks incredibly real. I even applied it to my cabinets. The only downfall is when wet...make sure you keep a very sharp blade trimming.

Wallpaper is the devils work but this stuff works as advertised. I had a rough wall due to having an old house, this product covered very nicely. I do not recommend trying to trim it after wetting it and putting on the wall, the lines are delicate when wet so make sure your cuts are where you need them. Prime the wall beforehand as well.

Surprisingly realistic!!! I used this wallpaper as an alternative to putting up a 1/4" wainscoting plywood on my ceiling in my newly remodeled kitchen. I have had numerous compliments from the look I achieved, and many surprised looks when I tell them it's wall paper. I am more less a novice when it comes to wall papering but the end result speaks for itself. A couple of hints, IF trying to hang this on a ceiling like I did, it goes much easier with a helper. Also when using this product, be careful, though you don't have to line up patterns to keep a consistent wainscoting look, you need to ensure edges are lined up properly. I did make one mistake in the ceiling and put two wrong edges together giving on slat a wider than normal appearance. (Can be seen to the right of the light box) Would certainly recommend this product.

A simple way to make a room elegant without the hassle of real beadboard. It's also a inexpensive way to see how it would look without going through the trouble of hauling out the saw and I don't have a workshop. I loved it so much I ordered more. I even recommended it on Facebook.

This is an amazing substitute for the wooden version. I have a small bathroom and didnt not want to add any depth onto the walls. This was so easy to hang and gave be the beadboard look I wanted. Friend and neighbors were shocked when I told them it was wallpaper.

I love this product! It's inexpensive and lets you totally update your space. I used this product on my kitchen cabinets and loved the effect. It also accepts paint beautifully. We got a puppy that scratched the surface of one of the cabinet doors and without any tears I could replace the beadboard wallpaper and it looked good as new. The photo is after 2 years of using this product in my kitchen immediately after replacing the panel the puppy scratched. I need home depot to start carrying this back in store in my area!

Would have given it a 5 star, but you need to be VERY careful with it after it is wet because it does tear easily. However, I did not lose any paper because of this. The couple tears sealed perfectly! Love the way it looks on my walls. Looks like real breadboard.

Excellent product. Just to be on the safe side, i also used adhesive paste to put on the wall before hanging the wallpaper. If you plan to install floating shelf or anything which needs studs, make the markings before you hang the wallpaper coz it takes more than a day, which might slow down your project. Also, do wait for 5 mins before putting each sheet on the wall, if you wont wait, glue will just run off the paper when you squeeze the air bubbles out after hanging the paper.
