I have used at least 50lbs of these screws. If used properly they are great! First use with a Phillips bit that is NOT worn down. I regularly replace my bits. Second use with a proper drive such as a 18+ volt machine. Use with anything less and you will NOT have the power to drive them in. Third is to drill pilot holes if screwing into southern yellow pine (SYP). If you follow these steps you will find the screws work great!!!
Hard to strip the head. The 2.5 and 3 inch are my fav screws for many things around the house.
I love the fact that the head is hard to strip. It works extremely well with my impact driver. Make sure you always use a good impact bit.
These are awesome for applications in treated lumber. Good strength, long lasting and corrosion resistant. I didn't find a single one that was mangled or misformed. The 5 lb bulk box is a great savings too!

It's a screw and it does what a screw is suppose to do, hold two pieces of wood together. I have used tons of these to build decks and miscellaneous outdoor structures. They hold tight and stand up to the elements. When using this screw it is best practice to drill a pilot hole to prevent the wood from splitting.
