Will not back warranty
I got less than a year out of them. 1/2 of one lamp stopped working. I wrote the manufacturer as directed on their packaging to take advantage of the 5-year written warranty and have yet to get a response. My cheap old fluorescents gave me 20 trouble-free years.

Color deceiving bulbs (some blue, some orange)
Well there built sturdy, ( bright) but when installed.... produced what looks like a very warm orange glow compared to the other bulbs purchased. They were a bright clear blue.

    Flickers
Positives first: The HALCO LED tube replacement bulbs vas very easy to install. A straight forward removal of the ballast and direct wire in of the existing pin connectors. Great replacement for traditional tube bulbs. After a week or two started flickering. $50 for for a couple weeks is not the 20-30 years LEDs are sold as. Extremely frustrating as I disposed of the expensive to replace ballasts. Will try to exchange and will update review with customer service experience.

It replaced two 8 ft flourescents in the garage and made a huge Improvement in lighting. I used the original flourescent housing but removed the ballast and did some rewiring to convert it to adapt to LED

These bulbs are the perfect and smple replacement to your 9' flourescent needs. The current draw of the bulb is just over half of the original however, you are also not using the ballast which also draws current. In use, these bulbs are very white. So, not only are they quite a bit brighter in lumen, but they also appear to be a lot, maybe 50% brighter than your existing cheap 8' flourescent fixtures. I have added a photo to show you one of my previously exisint 8' fistrues and another one which I have changed the bulbs in. As you can see, the new bulbs are a lot brighter. The re-wiring is quite simple as the bulbs are direct voltage, just remove the original ballast and do a quick and simple rewire to the connecting ends on the fixture.

The lumen output of new led light bulbs compared to the old T12 fluorescent light bulbs greatly improved. The new led light bulbs are not quite as rigid as the old T12 light bulbs. The new light bulbs had a tendency to sag in the middle because of the 8’ length. A custom made support bracket was installed at approximately 4’ to keep the lamp from sagging and possibly falling out of the lamp holders. Manufacturers of the 8’ led light bulbs should improve this issue.

Only 1/2 of the tubes would light up. Changed to a different brand bulb and it works perfectly.

Great solution to neon lights. Fairly easy to modify old fixture with diagram from web site. Daylight bulbs in laundry are great with color detection.

Best 8 ft lamp I have used. Tube is glass and does not droop like plastic or 2 piece lamps. Very bright downlight.

Buy twice as many as you need
I have been wanting to update the lighting to LED for a while now. After reading the reviews on these bulbs I agree with most of the reviews. I should have taken a picture of the location at the Kannapolis Home Depot because words don’t describe how bad it was. The website said availability of 8. When I got to the location there were about 20different bulbs all messed up, crisscrossed, some broken in half. Had to weed through and find only the daylight ones. Several were cracked. After all that I decided to buy 4 pair. Glad I did, 2 of the 8 didn’t work, 1 of the 8 only half the bulb worked&1of the 8 worked fine but the glass inside of the plastic tube was broken. I really think the bulbs are good if you get a good one that’s why I put 4stars. But come on Home Depot. If I were GE and saw how you display mynproduct…. No way

Works great in my garage, thankful to get rid of fluorescent bulbs forever! Had to remove the ballast from the lamps, but it was easy to do. The bulb packaging has a QR code that links to a YouTube video instructing you how to remove the ballast.
