The HDX 17 Gallon tough storage tote with red lid is a nice addition to our garage. It is a lightweight tote and easy to carry around. There are slots in the top of the tote where the lid can be locked down to the container which is a very nice feature you don't see on a lot of totes.. The tote has a nice look to it and I would recommend this product

I might be a little unconventional about using a storage tote to keep my kids hockey training gear in one place but nothing is unconventional about a great storage tote for keeping your backyard organized and clean. When I saw the size of the HDX 55 GAL. TOUGH STORAGE TOTE (HDX which is home depots store brand is absolutely awesome in quality and a fraction of the price of other name brand household companies. This beast is 18x42x19 deep and gives you more than enough space. I'm able to keep all my kids hockey training gear neatly stored away and my backyard tidy and presentable incase guests stop by. I love the size, sturdiness and ability to zip tie or lock the lid down and if I have to spray clean the dust and dirt off I know after a quick rinse the inside will still stay dry. It can be quite cumbersome to move while full but they do have other options with wheels at a hefty price. Other than that this is exactly what I'm looking for and would recommend to anyone with storage needs.

This 55 gallon storage tote is huge! After taking it out of the box, I could feel how sturdy this container is. It is big enough to store just about anything. The lid snaps on very tightly, took me a minute to open it. But it gives me confidence and peace of mind that whatever I store inside, will be protected. i would definitely purchase a few more, as it can also be stackable.

Need a large sturdy tote to store your stuff, this 55 gallon tote can work for you. It is 21.3"W x 45.8"L x 19.5H, that is stackable and lockable. The snap on lid is a little hard to open, but that means that the top is secure. This product is made in the USA. The lid color is vibrant, and the material used to make this tote is heavy duty. I would suggest filling it after you have placed it where you want to place it, will be heavy when filled.

This is a very large storage bin. It is heavy duty and feels sturdy and strong enough to hold plenty of weight if you fill it up. We are using it to store most of our camping supplies all in one place. It holds everything we have thus far which includes four sleeping bags, a small cooktop, pans, and other cooking utensils and still has plenty of room for more. The only thing I worry about is that the clips that hold the lid down are only an inch long on both sides. Hopefully they don’t break off after awhile. The plus side is there are cut out holes to strap it down if needed or for strapping it on a vehicle. Overall it’s a nice strong bin that fits our needs very well.

Great for holding goods and organizing your items. Some of mine have gone towards creating portable herb and vegetable gardens. Bumper crops!!

This 55 gallon storage container is perfect for those bulky items, such as off-season clothing or bedding (see picture). A queen size bedspread hardly puts a dent in the storage capacity of this container as you can see it the picture! The end handle space is nice and deep so you can get a good grip on the container to lift or move it (see picture). The lid securely locks in place, but you can also thread rope through six openings in the lid of the container which are aligned with the base of the container (see picture). This is a great feature to have! It is 19 inches deep and 18 inches wide so this will fit many larger size items (see pictures). I was very impressed with the design and features of this storage container so I highly recommend it!

Over the years my wife and I have been very happy with HDX products and this 55-gallon tough storage tote is no exception. Both the tub and lid appear to be exceptionally well-built and heavy duty. The huge size of this tote allowed us to eliminate several cardboard boxes full of assorted items which are now centralized and easily accessible in this large tote. See attached photographs. Well-done HDX!

The 55 Gallon Tough Tote sold by The Home Depot is very spacious and durable. The black color is a good choice for hiding marks. I like that the lid fits snugly and snaps into place when it locks. I personally use this tote for holiday lights and decorations because of its large storage capabilities. I would highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a large light weight storage bin.

BIG TOTE! This is one of the largest storage totes I have seen and for good reason. I needed a replacement for my Rubbermaid tote which was about the same size, maybe a bit smaller, but it cracked along the side sitting in my closet for off season clothing. I received this one yesterday, it is made of a heavy gage recycled polypropylene plastic and is approximately 45X21X19 BIG. I stored several winter blankets, bedspreads and pillows in this large tote. If you use Space Saver bags you can get in a lot more and protect them. I would recommend this tote, you need to ensure you have a space for them. One last thought, you can also stack them.

Storage tote reviews tend to get lumped together. This review is for the HDX 55 gallon "Tough Storage Tote" in black with a red lid. This is a large tote - Exterior dimensions (about) 43" long by 21" wide by 19.5" high. Interior dimensions (about) 39" long x 14.75" wide x 17.25" high. This didn't register with me until I took delivery (it was shipped to my house, I didn't pick it up in the store). It's larger than any other tote we have in our basement. I wanted the large tote not for its weight capacity (rated at 200 pounds), but for its volume. We have bedding (mostly comforters) that require a lot of volume to store. The HDX tote holds two queen-sized comforters without a problem (of course this depends upon the specific bedding - some comforters are fluffier than others). That solves the problem I needed solved, so I've gotta give the tote high marks. We didn't try to overstuff the tote; when we got just a bit below the level of the top of the container we stopped adding bedding. YMMV - If you overstuff the tote you may find that the lid bulges up in the middle. Quality is acceptable for a storage tote - there are obvious marks from the molding process in the plastic (see photo below). I've had no undue issues in removing/replacing the lid; totes with removable lids are always a bit of a chore for me. I'm always pulling up on the wrong spot; I don't consider it a design view, it's more a fault in my technique. The tote offers open ports for locks or bungee cords, etc., and there are channels (see photo below) for running cords or ropes to tie down the tote. Not features I'm likely to use, but YMMV. HTH. These are actually better than good but not 5 star. They are pretty tough, big but not the strongest I've seen. But for the price best out there. Stack well, keep water, mice etc out. I have over 15, different sizes in use. They stack well.

These containers saved my clothes I recently moved in to a place that unbeknownst to me already had tenet's .The 4 legged kind. And they were using my clothes to make them selfs nests . Not any more now. My things are protected thanks to this bins.

They are serving their purpose. For my project I should have bought a smaller size, but I'm making them work. Very sturdy.

I use these totes for various things around my house. I get the different sizes to be mindful of how much weight I'm putting into them. I purchased a 17 gallon around Christmas had put zero items in it and this is the results of me laying it down outside of the closet it was being stored in. I don't know if something's happened with this company but it seems like a materials are starting to get cheaper therefore not so "tough" anymore.

I bought 3 of these containers to store our moving blankets. After filling two of the containers, I attempted to stack one container on top of another. Big mistake. The lid cracked just off center, in the middle. I don't have more than 50 pounds of total weight in either container, so that can't possibly be the reason a "tough" lid breaks so easily. The tub seems to be the only thing "tough" about this container. I really thought these would be more durable than the flimsy "Sterilite" brand. They are not.

Easily stackable and they fit together tightly so the stack wont lean. In storage I have them 6 high with the bottom container taking at least 600lbs on top no problem. The price is right and the quality exceeds my expectations. We use them for our desert gear. Highly recommended.

These are by far my favorite storage bins. They are very sturdy and don't buckle like most cheap storage containers. Also, they stack better than any others that I have had in the past. My only complaint is the lip on the ends breaks too easy I feel and prevents the locking of the lid sometimes. As long as you don't over stuff them, it should not be a problem.

The bins are sturdy and stack nicely. They are secure and the lids do not fold in. We purchased different sizes and stacked them in a 10x10 storage room with plenty of space left over. Best investment of the year so far!

I was looking for something to hold the sections of my 13' faux Christmas tree. This perfectly, I could even bag my treeskirt and add it to the box. Didn't even have to smoosh down all the branches. The longest section is a bit tight, but it costs securely. Wheels are nice, and I think this will easily stand on its end in storage. Happy with the price, and took me hours of searching to find a box to fit my tree, which closes securely. With wheels. Noce buy.

If it were easier for me to return the 20, YES, the 20 I bought of various sizes I would without a doubt. I bought these to organize holiday decor, craft supplies, and other items and they are such a disappointment. You have to fill it less than the maximum capacity in order to ensure the lid fits completely....but they only snap at each end so if you have pillows for example then the middle bulges up and it’s not completely shut. The lids are all difficult to open and actually hurt your hand. They smell horribly You cannot use to capacity because of the way the lids are designed to close (probably to force customers to buy more) The lids vary by different shades of yellow Just disappointed and not satisfied but I do not have the time or energy to return all of them but would not recommend. If I can’t use them to store inside household items, they definitely shouldn’t be used for “garage” storage.

Best purchase I have made in a while. We bought a new pre lit Christmas tree this year and I was so tired of the old one and it’s mangled cardboard box. Storing it became a real pain point. This tub has casters and allows me to roll I’m, pack away the new 9.5ft tree and then roll out. Game Changer!!

Great storage box. Only 10" high which is good for many applications. Fit easier on shelves and can stack. This 14 gallon sized tote is lighter for storing heavy items and fits well in the back of your vehicle. Will even fit behind the seat in most trucks. Latches on both ends and to make it secure lid for exterior traveling you can zip tie or use tie downs that fit through the holes on the top sides. It is the same length as the larger size so it fits well on top of the 27 gallon ones.

I love these storage bins. They are sturdy built and stackable and with the recessed lid they lock together so they are less apt to fall over. I am using these to store wood scraps and small parts to help keep my garage organized and clean. They are light weight and very heavy duty making them great for storage. They could easily be set on a dolly and rolled under a bench for easy access. The only problem is that you can't fill them to the top you need to allow space for the lid.

I use these totes to store extra wood scraps and I love the way you can stack them. They are really sturdy and solidly built. I don't have to be gentle when throwing the wood into it. I really like the heavy duty feel and look of this tote. The only issue is that when you put stuff in it you have to remember not to fill it all the way to the top so you can get the lid on.
