The clamp tensioner is pretty worthless, the fixture itself is great I have an infrared bulb in it for just a little warmth in my garage

this was not a good purchase for me the lights were very cheap and could not be adjustable and I will be returning this to the store

I bought this lamp to to warm the dog beds on the porch. It was a little difficult to assemble just because I only have 2 hands. An extra set of hands are helpful to assemble the mounting bracket. I used a 250 watt heat lamp bulb and it works good for the dogs. It is plugged into a GFI outlet and has not tripped. The dogs are warm now on cold nights.

It worked for what I needed.

Nice heavy duty lamp holder with ceramic socket - should last much longer than the work light we were using!

I like the fact that you could use a lightbulb up to 300 watts , but I won't be using one that high though. I was disappointed there was not an off on switch. Attaching the clamp was nearly impossible, I had to tighten the wing nut so tight I bent the bolt and I still have a floppy clamp. Not a good design and no instructions to show how to attach the clamp.

This works great for lighting or a heat lamp.

Good for semi-permanent installation. Clamp attachment to light poorly designed, requires high level of tightening to stay in place.

The mechanism for positioning the light is clunky and does not work well.

Solid socket & clamp.

Clamp design and functionality is very poor. basically can't be used with the clamp at all. Why sell a product that doesn't work?

Brooder light is larger & less expensive than grow light bulb holder (which I'm using it for). Plus, the larger, stronger cords & attachments give it an industrial vibe that I like as a decor feature in my home.

Keeps our barn cats warm during really cold weather. We bought both 125 watt and 250 watt bulbs to switch depending on temp needed. The cats lay in heat like enjoying a sunny beach.

It doesn’t cover much space

These clamp lights can handle higher watt light bulbs -- which is what I was looking for. However, they're very flimsy. The metal that surrounds the light bulbs can be bent with only a little pressure from fingers. Of course, this means that after they're dented, they're also pretty easy to straighten up. When you clamp them onto whatever you're using to support them, they won't stay in place. No matter how hard I have tried to twist the screws to coax them into the position I want, they just flop down. I've ended up having to tie them to their support to try to position them correctly, and they still aren't really shining where I'd like them to.

There are no instructions at all, and nothing is assembled for the clamp. I think I finally figured it out but what a pain.
