How has this product not been recalled? I was using this product with my HDX shelving unit. The unit was not loaded above the rated capacity of these casters (I had less than 600 lbs total on my shelving unit). I went to go move the shelf on the casters and experienced a catastrophic failure of the casters. The bolt that screws into the shelving unit bent like a pretzel. This product is incredibly unsafe, and caused the shelf to damage, along with items on it.

I bought a HDX wire shelving rack. It did not come with wheels. So I bought this caster pack (expensive) to go with the rack. It fit the rack perfectly, except there were no instructions and there is definitely a right way to install the casters (and many wrong ways to install them). After observing them, I came to the conclusion that these are very cheaply made. The wheels are hard plastic instead of rubber. The wheel locks are hard to use. I am not sure of the quality of the ball bearings.

I bought these a very long time ago and just got to install them on a new rack. I'm pleasantly surprised that the quality of these are so much better than what I expected. I'm going to buy 2 more sets for my other racks.

Do t trust these wheels. They claim to have a weight capability of 600lbs/400 lbs dynamic. After a few weeks of very light use and minimal movement, the wheels failed one after another, causing the whole shelf to tip over. So very dangerous.

Wheels fit perfectly.

With well below the shelving weight limits these bend and you can get hurt. To add insult to injury the $27 credit for returning them has not posted! They gave me back my original receipt and nothing else to prove the return. I am out of $27 and a trip to town.

I have a 6 shelf HDX chrome shelving unit. I attached these wheels,. loaded it up and tried to push it into place. The screw in pegs that attached the wheels to the shelf completely collapsed. The pins bent 90 degrees and the wheels were laying flat like coasters on the floor. The entire rack tilted over and started to fall on top of me. These wheels will not support actual heavy duty service. Maybe if you have 6 shelves of toilet paper but not a pantry.

like a lot of home Depot products they're shopped on price not quality that's why home Depot carries them if you want good ones I suggest you go somewhere else and make sure that the weight ratings are substantial and maybe the wheel size is a 1 inch larger

DOES NOT FIT 24x14x60 shelves. Nothing on the shelving box said what the opening size was (but the casters say 3/8). That is only helpful if one has measurements for both items. When I called, Home Depot said the shelves I purchased should work with these casters. And they are sold RIGHT NEXT TO THE SHELVES. Below is photo of the foot leveler that came out of the shelf and the caster recommended for the shelves.

These casters are very nice. The wheels spin freely and the included bumpers are a nice addition. If you are worried about things the bumpers come in handy. I would have liked the wheels to be a little bit wider but they do the job well.

Had these casters on my hdx shelf unit. Was moving it slightly on a smooth concrete floor. When without warning 2 wheels failed and the whole shelving unit fell to the floor with all our food. Damaging quite a bit of it.

These wheels are bigger than i thought, but do the job well. Bigger than the shelf I had that already has wheels, but I am buying another set for still another shelf. They move around so nice, now(used without wheels for years, but they just sat in one place! I like the bigger wheels better than the original wheels. I highly recommend these to anyone thought bought these shelve without wheels in the past...

These are advertised as compatible with the HDX heavy duty wire shelf which has a weight capacity of 650lbs PER SHELF while these castors have a limit of 600lbs TOTAL, meaning that if you intend to fully load the rack, you will run into serious problems. I had the wheels collapse under me and my moving partner while trying to wheel the rack into place with about 700lbs weight total of aquariums on the rack. It was super scary and could've led to injury and property damage. A couple-hour job turned into an all-day emergency situation trying to safely unload the rack, remove the bent wheels, and reassemble the setup. The weak point, as other reviews have mentioned, appears to be the screws that connect the castors to the rack. They bend under weight.

The wheels are sturdy for my purposes. The locking device on the 2 wheels keeps my 24"x48"x72" unit from moving. Installation of the wheels was simple. The rubber bumpers are a nice feature to keep the unit from banging into the wall.

Very sturdy, heavy duty and fit perfectly with the shelving I bought. Makes cleaning around the shelves much easier even if you don't need to re-locate the shelves which I sometimes have to do in my home studio.

Perfect fit for the HDX 5-shelf wiring unit. Used for our bakery, these casters allow us to move the shelf back and forth from the kitchen to the storefront. So far, very stable and smooth rolling, and the "brakes" work well. Recommended if you want your wire shelving unit to be portable and movable.

I love these casters. They easily adapt to any project and have a high weight limit.

This rack has allowed me to arrange my garage the way I want it. The cost was OUTSTANDING....THANK YOU HOME DEPOT.....

Love these castors. Fit well, like the bumpers and the locks. They make it extremely easy to move our inventory shelves where we want them as needed. They are perfect! I got 4 sets.

The wheels are large and solid. They roll easily. The wall protectors are a nice bonus,

The scrow is not strong and crooked.

I installed the optional rubber casters to be able to rotate my wire shelving unit holding 24 Jiffy trays in front of a window wall starting vegetables from seed prior to transplant outdoors.

the casters went on the cart and I love being able to roll it where ever it need to go... and I need it to go!

I used these to install roof trusses on a new build home. I dunno why some say they aren't strong because they are VERY well built with polyurethane wheels. I couldn't have done the job without these!! Great product!!

We bought a set of these to add to our 4' x 6' HDX 5 tier chrome wire shelving unit. The shelf is in the garage and we want to be able to move it so we can clean underneath it from time to time. The 'tires' on the wheels are a decent size (won't bind up if you roll over a small screw)and are made of a soft rubber/nylon type material and don't mark up the freshly epoxied floor paint which was a big plus. Two of the wheels have lever action brakes to lock the shelf in place so we used these on the front of the shelf. It was also simple to adjust the height of one of the wheels to compensate for our uneven floor. Once the wheels are fitted, there is about 3-4" of height between the lowest shelf and the floor surface.

Did not fit shelving legs

It is great to have these heavy duty casters on my shelf units so I can move them easily. I have used them before and I am delighted with the easy installation when assembling the shelf unit.
