It gets the nails in straight or bent. Great value. Got the job done in much less than half the time utilized before trying to do the same thing. Several drill bits were ruined trying to get the job done and barely touched the job as a whole. .
Wear Gloves with Padding. This little nailer is deceiving. It packs a punch that puts nails where they are suppose to be. Deep in the wood. I have not had much experience with a palm nailer, but I love this little rascal. I am use to using a framing nailer and there have been many times where I could not get the nailer in to drive a nail let alone a hammer. Now with this little tool no place is inaccessible. I was sure surprised at the power this tool has. I am not use to the vibration so that is why I say wear gloves with padding. I was using it to get a feel for it and my hand went to sleep due to the vibration. This is for those places you cant get a framing gun, not to drive every nail although I guess you could do it, I do think it is a good investment. I like the way it fits in my hand and the power it has. It fits in my tool belt so when I need it I have it, Pop off the framer and pop on the palm nailer and away you go. In a tight place it cannot be beat. A plus to any DIY'er tool belt.
The HDX Mini-Palm Nailer is not something I thought would use much, but it has found a spot with my other tools after using it for the first time. I have an air compressor for brads and finish nailing and it seemed logical to get this for larger projects. Found it ridiculously easy to use and the magnetized holder makes driving common type nails a one hand operation . It fits securely in my hand, small and light weight feels natural using it. Having said this, still apply caution as nails under high pressure can still blow out or ricochet on a knot like other nailers. Nails go easily into 2x4's without effort and although its intended for use in tight spaces can be used anyplace once the compressor's set up. I'd recommend it for building or repairing an outside deck or other similar type projects. Should have gotten this years ago.
