I use this all the time on residential jobs. I like that it eliminates a lot of man hours and there are fewer fittings required so your risk of a leak is far less. way cheaper than the stuff the supply shops sell for whatever reason

Very safe. Sealed completely underneath a crawlspace or attic. Only joint connections are in exposed areas. That way if their was a leak, homeowner and or installer will notice right away.

Licensed gas contractor, Here is the problem: dependent on paper friction gasket for the seal. Failed air test 2x. I highly doubt regular homeowners are pressurizing the system with air at 15psi to check this for leaks because it will fail.

Hi, Plumbha - We're sorry you had difficulty with our CSST product. Please be advised there is no "paper friction gasket" with the associated brass fittings. It is actually a hard fiber gasket that is designed to accept the stainless steel tubing causing a gas-tight seal. It is important that the ss tubing has as clean a cut as possible. An overwhelming percentage of homeowners and contractors alike install our products with no difficulties.
