The island was delivered quickly and was not difficult to put together. It is a beautiful island and has so much extra storage space with the deep cabinets. I added lights to the side shelves. I am very happy with this purchase!

Bought in black. 6 months later, the finish is falling off! It’s not repaintable either. Homestyles refused to do anything. Home Depot offered 20% back. Why are you selling GARBAGE furniture to your customers?! So ripped off of our nearly $800. We discovered that, had we bought it on the Home Depot credit card, we could return it up to 365 days! Why should we be treated ANY different than a customer using a Home Depot card? It’s JUNK. I will never buy furniture from either again.

We purchased the chairs from this same manufacturer, and as with chairs, the packaging was impressive. Assembly was quite easy, just beware that this is a heavy piece of furniture. Required 2 people for assembly, particularly placing the table top which is shipped as a sub- assembly ( drawers installed). For the price, we feel this is a great value. Would have given 5 stars, except discovered design flaw: drawers are set too close to top- hence the top of drawer strikes bottom of table top. I may be able to lower front portion of drawer rails to correct issue..

Beautiful piece of furniture. Fairly easy to put together. My son in law did it and I helped a little. The wood top is thick and very nice. Drawers are deep. Love it.

This island is exactly what I was looking for. Relatively easy to put together. You need at least two people, my husband and I put it together in roughly an hour.

This island is perfect for my small kitchen. It has a lot of extra storage room that I really needed. It's a solid, beautiful piece of furniture. I love it.

I had some minor fitment issues here and there, but overall, it is good quality and not super hard to assemble. I would recommend having someone else help to assemble it though, very challenging for one person by themselves

Assembling this island was easy with 2 people. The directions were very clear. At one point in the process we put several pillows under the section we weren't working on so it would have support. The finished product is beautiful as well as practical. The leaf is very secure and sturdy. The shelves inside the unit are quite deep and hold lots of linens and cloths. The drawers aren't the most sturdy but they move in and out smoothly. The bottom has round rubber pieces that protect the floor.

bought this kitchen island to replace a bulky table. Have too say this island added looks and helped gain some space. Easy too build and not too much time . worth every minute

I’m terrible with assembly but this was was to assemble. It definitely would be easier with two people, but I did it myself. It is sturdy. It is beautiful and fits nicely in my small space

It took 3 years to pick out an island for my smaller kitchen. I did not want anything on wheels, I wanted it to be high quality, and it had to have storage...very good storage. This island has exceeded my expectations in all areas (purchased 3 mon. ago)

Very nice. Easy to put together one person can do everything but setting top on. Would definitely recommend buying. Wife wanted it for baking on plenty of room.

We needed a custom looking island without the custom price. This was the best fit! We re-used an existing granite top instead of the wood one provided, and we added an electrical port as seen in pics. Sturdy construction and nice off-white finish. Pictures look more yellow but brighter white in person. Hired a handyman to put together- took him about 2 hours. We added LED lights as well. Overall a great value!! See photos.

Easy to assemble (make sure you have somebody to help you), beautiful piece overall

Pretty table, pain to assemble but that was expected, but the care instructions...do not write directly on surface, do not place hot objects (pic of coffee cup) on surface. WHAT? It's an island w a drop leaf w recommendations for bar stools, but you shouldn't sit and eat there?? Kids can't sit and do homework there?? Either the instructions are excessively precautionary or the top material is so soft it's not really functional.

Family love it...pick up at store, 3 heavy boxes. Took us 3 hours plus to assembled. Looks nice in kitchen. After assembled, extremely surprise how steady they were.

Came in 3 very large, intimidating-looking boxes (was not delivered, I had to pick them up at the store) A little frustrating at first; putting the first pieces together took the longest. Had to make a couple of our own holes in the board at the end for the hinges on the leaf to line up. Took me and my daughter about 3+ hours to put together. All in all, it's a really nice looking and functional piece. Matches my kitchen perfectly. Storage is smaller inside than is lead to believe, but just put less shelves in and you'll be all set.

Only problem is the top is not one peice and two spots u can see the finger joints.

It took us a while to write this review as we are remodeling our kitchen and the setup of the island was the last step. Since my husband and I are not really handy, we considered paying someone to setup the island. However, we read the reviews prior to purchasing and many indicated that it was an easy assembly. I am very happy to confirm that the setup was as easy as indicated, taking approximately 1-1/2 hours with the two of us (3/27/2020). It's important to have another person to assist, especially in step 3 where the back is being attached to the corner pieces. It looks awesome, is sturdy and offers the functionality that I was looking for. The drawers are deep and the interior spacious. The only con, is that the right door does not adhere to the magnet at the top of the door as tightly as the left door (I believe that another reviewer mentioned this fact). We're unsure how to resolve this but it's not a deal breaker. Lastly, it arrived in (3) large, heavy boxes so it's important to have someone to assist you when taking the delivery. It was well packed and all parts and instructions (which were very clear) were included along with the necessary tools. And, there was extra hardware which is a nice plus.

Quality seems good and assembly was okay but be warned. The "distressing" is identical set of the same worm holes and divets all over the top of the product. They don't show them in the photos at all so here is an example do at least you know what you are getting. I didn't.

Beautiful focal point of our new kitchen.We love the color and the extra storage is a added bonus.I actually took longer to unpack the parts and pieces than it did putting it together. We have had it about 6 weeks now and it is still perfect!

We renovated our kitchen and this was the perfect piece to finish it off!

This island was exactly what we needed. It was straightforward to assemble and everything fit properly with the right amount of hardware. Really is a nice piece of furniture for our kitchen. We have had it a couple of months and don't know how we did without it. I like the heaviness and solid feel of it, and the end shelves were particularly handy for cookbooks etc. My wife loves it.

Everything was perfect except for alignment of one of the doors. It use to get stuck pretty good but has pretty much worked itself out where I don't even notice it now. Other wise I couldn't be happier with it. Better quality than I thought it was going to be....very solid and sturdy.

It was very easy to put together. But the finish is very bad , I'm going to have to repaint the black a lot of unfinished showing .

Recently purchased this Kitchen Island for our new home.This product was relativity easy to assemble. All holes for hardware are provided. Directions are clear. Foolproof assembly. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to assemble the island. The finish product it very beautiful and sturdy. However, sadly one of the front doors will not latch and there is a gap between the door and center post. The other door fits properly. I tried to call Home Styles Customer Service several times. I only reached an answer machine. I left several messages, with no reply. Disassembling this item, for return, would be very time consuming. Home Depot provided a discount on this defected product.

I love this kitchen island!!!!! I've been remodeling my grandparents home for several months. I wanted to update the kitchen and create an open floor concept even though it is a smaller kitchen. I saw this kitchen island and knew it would look great in my new kitchen. The island came in 3 boxes. I was able to print out the instructions online, but each box had instructions as well. It was very easy to put together if you followed the instructions. It took me about 3 hours from start to finish. The product looks amazing in the space i have. I absolutely love it!!! The island is made of decent material and the countertop is great. The only fault i have with this product is the two pull out drawers could be a bit more sturdy. Overall this is a great kitchen island and the cost was a good buy for the prices. I would recommend this to anyone if your looking for something to improve the look of your kitchen in a small space.
