Horrible buy
This was a nice piece until it stained. This is a kitchen piece and should be able with withstand liquid being waste on it for a few seconds, but it is obviously This island can't. I'm left with this horrible stain and ugly island. I contacted the warranty and they only have a 30 day warranty which is worthless. Order at your own risk especially if you plan to use this kitchen island in your kitchen. Lol. $1000 down the drain.

We are sorry to hear you ended up with a stain on your granite top. Occasionally a part or two just needs to be replaced as it may have been a factory defect. Unfortunately, granite can stain depending on the type of liquid and how long it stays before being removed. As noted on the assembly instructions, Granite is a natural stone material with naturally occurring fissures and cavities. A sealer has been applied to the granite to reduce the absorption of liquids.
Even with sealer applied, liquids can absorb into the granite causing permanent
stains. A stone sealer can be reapplied periodically to the granite to reduce the absorption of liquids.

love it!
I love this island! great quality. it add character to my kitchen. the only negative about it is that the color it like a yellow tone, isn't white and the granite DO NOT! allow liquid on the granite. it will stain the top and never come out.

This is a quality piece of furniture. It is packaged very well and solid. I LOVE the additional counter space and storage the island provides. The counter over the bar seating is very sturdy. I just wish the off white color did not have a yellow tone.

Item came packaged very well protected (almost too well as it took a lot of time to unwrap each piece, lol). It took me about an hour and a half to put together. The two of us (my wife is 5' 105 lbs) were able to put the top on. Looks great and has been very useful already.

I actually began this process looking at reviews because of the difficulty to assembly, finding it pretty hard to assemble by myself. In the process I discovered several reviews (at least 8) where people have identified that staining as a problem with 2 reviewers even providing pictures (see attached). Not once was there any response to this issue from either the manufacturer or home depot. I think any potential buyer should be aware of this issue before buying. Would not have bought the item myself had I known you can’t set anything cold or hot on the granite without it staining. What is the point of having granite or having an island if you can’t set anything on it ???????? NOT VERY FUNCTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great compromise
Great purchase for cutting cost on adding counter space. Island is very heavy and stable. Assembled by myself, just needed help by daughter to put top on.

Great Kitchen Island
Love this kitchen island. It’s a bit small so instead of installing the shelves on each end, we left them out and put two more COUNTER height stools. It looks great with and matches my tall black cabinet which I got from Wayfair

Totally in love with this island!
I bought this island 3 days ago and arrive today. Shipping was super fast. Good quality. Easy assembly with 2 people because is heavy and also faster when you work in a team. Instructions easy to follow. Great concept for those who like to eat in kitchen. Give you extra storage. Works better if you have plenty space to put it. The island give me an elegant accent in my kitchen. Works perfect for me

granite is not great but island is wonderful!
Great piece of kitchen furniture! Adds tons of space to small places. Myself or someone in my house set something on the counter and it left ugly rings on the granite that wont come out. Looks kinda trashy now so im gonna get a runner to avoid any further damages. There are more than one ring but i can only add one pic.

Sturdy island that looks great without breaking the bank
This island is great. It was a little bit of a pain to put together, but that was due to the number of pieces not necessarily because it was technically difficult. Took me about 3.5 hours doing it mostly by myself. You will definitely need two people to put the top on, its very heavy and has a lot of screws that fit together. It looks great in our kitchen and has given us a fair amount of addrd storage. Love it so far!

I am very happy with this product it was fairly easy to assemble, it came into boxes one box was had the counter top in it and the other box had the island. Its very sturdy strong and good quality wood!! It had like 9 little indents on the top of the counter not sure why but im looking to return and replace the countertop. But other than that im very happy with it.

We purchased this island a few months ago. Was very impressed how perfectly it went together. We took our time and had no issues with assembly. Excellent addition to our kitchen... love having extra seating and found the cabinet and drawer very spacious.

Granite Problem
Bought this for the Holidays, set it up before Christmas, good looking, a lot of work to set up and very heavy! Granite Inlay has a problem with "staining". Been working the problem with Home Depot since early January. I have not mistreated my kitchen island and used products exclusively for the granite. Got word today that the Vendor will not cover this? Huh? Hello, there are other consumers with the same problem.....Home Depot needs to step up to the plate and tell the vendor fix the problem or Good Bye!

Perfect addition to our new condo's kitchen...
We just downsized to a wonderful condo with a large kitchen, but it was missing something. We decided to add some contrast to the vast oak floor with a black kitchen table and chairs (see the "before" photo and, yes, the wild wallpaper will be next to go). Since we had so much space, we purchase the Nantucket Kitchen Island. It was delivered in 2 large (and very heavy cartons). I inventoried all the parts and assembled the base unit in the kitchen (without any assistance) in about 3 hours. The very heavy top (with its black granite insert) was assembled in the garage, wheeled into the kitchen on a dolly and placed on the base with the help of one other person. This is a very classy, well-built and versatile island - lots of storage, a large granite work surface and a drop leaf that easily accommodate 2 bar stools when up (see the photo of the island in place). A great buy that should last a very long time!

Nice addition
The additional storage is so nice to have, along with the extra working space and seating. The style was just what I wanted and is true to the picture. One piece came cracked but was quickly replaced at no charge. It felt a little flimsy when putting it together, but once finished it's much more sturdy than I had anticipated, especially for the price. Like the other reviews say, you need a second person to lift that top; very heavy. Overall, we are happy with the purchase.

Terrible drawer design
My main center drawer constantly drops out of place the drawer it self is slightly to small.... this is probably a quality control issue. I feel this item is way over priced for what it is. If I was given a second chance j would buy something else.

Don't buy!
While the reviews from other are correct. The granite,do not sit anything on it without a cover. The drawer is horrible! will not stay on track. That is a design flaw. I am so disappointed! I paid to have this but together. only had it for a month!

Love this island!
It wasnt that hard to put together. The very last piece to put on is the top and it is really heavy. Has lots of storage and looks great in my kitchen.

Could have been 5 stars
Middle section that included the drawer and a large single shelf was too wide for the shelf (see drawer and doors in the photo) and for the drawer glides. Had to modify the glide width so the drawer would work correctly, and needed to replace the shelf supports to hopefully support the shelf and anything on it. Prior to doing that, the shelf fell to the bottom. Otherwise very happy with the unit, the look, and the assembly instructions and process
