I returned this unopened. I had to visit the local Home Depot store & found a different soldering...
I returned this unopened. I had to visit the local Home Depot store & found a different soldering iron that I liked better. From the package it appeared to be well built and solid.

Waste
Returned this spent a few dollars more and got a Weller 40 watt. Way better than this and it comes with tips and a built in led lights

Excellent Hobby Soldering Iron
This has enough heat for the heavier duty jobs, probably too much for electronics work. Not so hot as to instantly oxidize the tip. Good for a hobbyist.

Works as expected.
The length is long, and can take a bit of getting used to. It comes with a stand, but it's small and can easily be knocked off it if your not careful. Would recommend getting a more secure solution so you don't burn yourself or the workbench top.

This particular iron gives out a max temperature of 860 degrees F, as long as the frame does not require a higher temperature than that, it will do the job nicely.
