I bought these to connect my 3/8" flex conduit to my boxes. Unfortunately they do not tighten up enough to hold the conduit in place. The conduit remains loose and pulls out of the connector easily. I thought maybe they require some sort of insert that goes in first (see the question below) but I've been told at my local Home Depot that the answer is no. The bad thing is I took all of them out of their bags before starting the installation so I cannot return them. In summary, I wasted a lot of time and money buying these parts and would not recommend them.

These are too big to fit on a 3/8" OD armored cable. I bought them along with some 12/2 metal clad cable, and found that they don't squeeze onto the cable enough to hold it in place. Their unsqueezed diameter is 11/16", and the squeezed diameter is 1/2"

Great for supporting lead wiring to appliance, or electric sockets & boxes.

I needed some fittings to attach BX cable to new LED light wiring boxes with 1/2" know outs, this fit the bill.

One end solid in the box. Wire end inserts easily and then clamps down on the mc jacket. Had to change one after installing and was simple to reshape the part that clamps down the wire and use it over.

These seem to be way too big for the 12/2 Gauge Solid CU MC (Metal Clad) Armorlite Cable. Even when the screw is fully tightened, there is a lot of play and the cable can be pulled out with little to no effort. The manufacturer of the cable also states this cable is not to be used with "set screw type" connectors -- so what are the alternative solution to this problem?

Tried to use 3/8” P/N 20420 to connect 3/8 MC conduit to box. Connector will not tighten. I will never again use a Halex product!

Like others have stated, these are NOT (not, not, not) for 3/8" FMC but for 1/2" FMC.

Stupid me, I believed the package description. Says 3/8" MC but it will not squeeze small enough to keep the conduit in place. Waste of my time.

This fits 1/2" flex, not 3/8 flex. Also very poorly made.
