Pros & Cons -- work well locally
These bulbs present pros and cons for me personally. Note that they fit standard light bulb (A19) lamps. Locally they work just fine—that is, if you’re (well, you phone) within Bluetooth range. With the app (which is very easy to use), these bulbs are easily managed, including on/off, dimming, light color, setting timers, and other functions (see app screen shot pictures). In my case, living in a ranch home, it’s pretty much an expensive ‘nice to have.’ A large family with a large multi-story home would find them much more useful. The immediate ‘con’ is the Bluetooth range requirement; I’d prefer smart lighting that can be operated far more remotely via the internet—which IS possible with these bulbs IF you purchase Halo’s “Home Internet Access Bridge” (which is also needed to use Alexa and the like). By themselves, these bulbs are a good start toward creating a ‘smart’ home, and acclimating yourself to using such technology.

Nice Smart Bulbs
These smart bulbs by Halo are LED 60 watts and are dimmable. They are easy to set up and use with the downloaded app. The main difference with these LED smart bulbs and others, is that you can only control them through the app on your smart phone or tablet. Eventhough they are compatible with voice controls by Alexa or Google, you must purchase a separate internet bridge to get them to work with voice commands.

They work well and are simple
Best part is they work without needing another hub to control them. Down side is you have another app to use and navigate. The bulb looks like a standard bulb only thing is it does weigh significantly more than a standard lamp. One cool feature is each lamp is controlled separately. So in using them in a multiple lamp fixture you can adjust each one the same or differently. Kinda cool I think. I’m use to using smart bulbs from Phillips and these are just as simple to use. And no hub to reset either. I guess if you had to cycle the power to clear any possible glitches that’s easy enough.

Works Well but Expensive
These bulbs are installed in my dedicated home theater where I can turn them on and off from my phone at the beginning or end of a movie or sports event. The room is totally dark with no windows and doors that shut out any light from other rooms. Connecting them to the Halo Home App is easy. They only connect through Bluetooth for control within about 30 feet depending on walls, etc. They can easily be grouped as a single group but that does NOT prevent individual control such as turning on/off one bulb where my AV equipment is kept. That is my configuration. The app does not yet feature fade-on/fade-off control of the bulbs, which I thought would be there. There is, however, a countdown time to off or on feature in the App. Dimming does work well with a good dimming range as does color range control (see photos). The bulbs are slightly longer than some A19 bulbs but only about ½ inch. That is probably to accommodate the Bluetooth control circuitry and the rest of the driver that all LED bulbs need to operate. While the build seems good and the features advertised work well, I think these are a bit pricey. This is truer in my application since scheduling lights in a dedicated home theater is not useful. Also, it may make more sense to use a "controller" aka "smart dimmer" and non-smart dimmable bulbs and save these to be used in multiple locations that don't have dimmer switches. The more Halo lighting devices you have, the more cost-effective this will be. That is especially true once you purchase the small Internet Access Bridge that connects directly to a 120-volt outlet (see photo). Then you can control your lights with Alexa or Google Assistant Apps including voice commands.

Halo 60W Equivalent A19 Dimmable Adjustable CCT (2700K-5000K) Smart Wireless
They are fine, they work and its great for me because I have 6 lights in the basement that all require pull chain. This makes it easy because now I just need to say turn on basement lights and everything lights up. I might change it to "let there be light" but the fact is if you have a basement with pull chain lights this is a solution , you will not wear down the pull string connections from always turning lights on and off. So i do love this. but man I really wish they would work with alexa and google without the HUB that is required. I have had smart bulbs that you need nothing at all but the actual alexa and the bulb. I had to take 1 star away due to that, but they do work great.

10 Stars Lighting Product!!!
This six pack of dimmable and adjustable CCT smart LED bulb is one of the best products for my home that has come from HomeDepot! It converted my traditional home lighting into a smart lighting home. I can now control my lamps and cieling chandeliers directly from my cellphone. Not only can I turn the lights on and off but can also adjust the light brightness and color. Anothwr awesome feature is that I can program when and how long I want the lights on. This product has positively impacted my quality of life.

Very Nice and Easy to Use Smart Light Bulbs
Picked these up to replace my porch light bulbs so I could set them up on a schedule and not have to remember to turn them on and off. The bulbs are easy to use and control with the HALO Home app and come with the very nice ability to set different bulb temperatures (2700, 3000, 3500, 4000, and 5000) and dim as desired; indoors great for creating moods. In my office at home I can use them to simulate someone is home, something I find to be comforting when I am gone in the evening. Programming them (setting a schedule) is very easy and since each bulb is a different ‘device’ you can set them to do different things or run on different schedules if you choose, or you can have them all on the same schedule. These are definitely a winner. Drawbacks are few: one is that you have to be relatively close to them to control them on demand (at least in my home about 25 feet); I suppose that is a function of Bluetooth and the construction of my house, Once on a schedule, distance is not an issue . The second drawback is price: at over $20 a bulb it is not for someone who is not sure they want to move in this direction; however, if the bulbs have the life expectancy of typical LED bulbs, they are a good investment. Overall, these HALO bulbs are highly recommended.

No more multiple trips to the store for the right bulb!
I installed these bulbs, fired up the app, connected them and was about to set the light color and dim them. These bulbs are very convenient and the 60w equivalent is great for most lighting. These are C19 bulbs which is by and far the most common base for indoor and outdoor lighting, its the standard. The bulbs are heavy, about 4 times as heavy as normal bulbs, at least. Using the app is fairly easy, the hardest part was waiting to connect each single bulb. Once connected, you can easily adjust color, brightness, scheduling, etc. I really like how convenient and energy-saving they are. These bulbs are made in China.

Smart Home Lighting Kit
Finally a bulb that combines LED, dimming, temperature control and smart programming all in one. Download the free Halo Home app off your favorite play store, install the bulbs and set them up the way you like. The package comes with 6 Halo Home A19 smart bulbs to get you started on your home lighting project. The bulb fit standard E26 base. Use your Bluetooth enabled smart phone or tablet to access, group the bulbs, set a schedule for having them turn on. The bulbs can be voice control with Alexa or Google Assistant, if you add the Halo Internet Access Bridge device that can be purchased separately.

Halo 60W Equivalent A19 Dimmable Adjustable CCT (2700K-5000K) Smart Wireless LED Light Bulb in White by Home (4-Pack) This is an interesting concept, using Bluetooth app to control. You can also use Google Assistant or Amazon. Alexa. I ordered these to replace three current LED bulbs in my master bathroom. Time will tell if this product is the real deal.

With Halo Homes Smart Bulb, anyone can enjoy the benefits of smart lighting. That's because it can be used with fixtures that accept a standard E26 base, instantly transforming floor and table lamps, vanities, porch lights and more. Unlike other products, The Halo bulb is Bluetooth-enabled and ready to connect out-of-the-box with all the Halo Home system features like grouping, scenes and schedules. All you need to get started is the bulb and the free Halo Home app. The app is easy to install on your phone or tablet, assuming it is Bluetooth Low Energy enabled (note that the App will not install if the phone or tablet is not compatible), and it is somewhat user friendly. On the bulbs packaging it clearly says that to work with Google assistant or Amazon Alexa you will need to buy a separate Halo Smart internet access bridge. These bulbs are very pricy, $97.75 for four as of 12/28/2019. This makes this a much more expensive solution for the home owner and small business that other available smart lighting products. As this product matures, the price will come down and the apps will improve hopefully with interoperability across the IOT landscape.

These Halo bulbs offer quite a bit of versatility over the average light bulb. The dimmable feature combined with color selection lets you truly customize the lighting to your personal preferences. I found the Halo App to be intuitive to use, and use the scheduling feature to have lights operate automatically. Depending upon the time of day, I like to adjust the warmth of the color temperature to suit my needs as well.

This Eaton HaloHome slightly over 9 watt (60 watt equivalent) is my entry into the "Whole Home Smart" lighting system. As my nickname implies I am not the youngest person on the block and this is a real learning curve and education for me. I had no trouble downloading the app and connecting to the bulb. I did not rate this a 5 star since I am still in the learning process. and time will let me know if I use the features and purchase other connected devices. This bulb replaces one on a timer- so I was able to do away with the timer and its associated problems. While at home I will be able to adjust the light color from 2700K to 5000K and dim the light as necessary depending on the activity in the room. On the bulbs packaging it clearly says that to work with Google assistant or Amazon Alexa you will need to buy a separate Halo Smart internet access bridge.

Works as advertised, but lack of features and way too expensive to jump in now. The home lighting automation idea has seen so many changes over the last decade and I believe it still is in its infancy. The technology keeps improving rapidly. Take these HaloHome bulbs. Amazing that inside the bulb is electronics that communicate (via Bluetooth) with your phone app. Plus allows you to control the brightness and color of the light remotely. The problem is the cost at this point. Nearly $100 ($94.90 at the time of this review) for a box of 4 bulbs. 10 times as much as a regular LED. Which makes it a non-starter for me. I found the app a bit clunky and the interface a bit lacking but all the functionality works. You can address each and every bulb in the app, group them, and set lighting schedules. I’m not a home automation expert or enthusiast but I question if the bulb is the place for the smarts. Seems like the switch is a better place to insert the controller, like the Lutron Caseta line of products. Then you can use any LED bulb and don’t have to leave the switch on. Also one of the key features I would want with smart lighting is geo-fencing, where the lights turn themselves off when you leave the home and come back on when you return. The HaloHome does not have this capability that I could see. Bottom line I think I’ll let the early adopter’s sort things out and get the price to come down to earth before I would consider a product like this. About my rating: 5 stars – Exceeds all expectations. Better than the competition in all aspects, design, cost, operation, and support (A+). 4 stars – Nicely done. Better than the competition and solves the problem. (B) 3 stars – Works as expected. Has some shortcomings but gets the job done. Might be short in design, cost, longevity, or support. (C). 2 stars – Falls short of expectations and needs improvement. Pass and look elsewhere. (D) 1 star – Fails miserably. Does not get the job done, might even make things worse. Someone at the company should be fired. (F)

With this Halo Bluetooth bulb, you can turn any light into a smart device very fast and no additional hubs or purchase required. The bulb only requires a mobile phone/tablet with Bluetooth and download Halo Home app, which is free. I have two types of LED smart bulb, and what I like about the Halo bulb is the app features/control and how easy it was to connect. I have it in my bedroom, and with my android phone via Bluetooth, I can set it on a schedule or turn on/off without getting up from the bed. When it is closer to my bedtime, dimming is setting is for darker light and the color temperate at the warm white. I plan to get more of these bulbs and will play more with the scenes option to change the lighting mood for each room. This bulb is an excellent option for outdoor lighting security light, just set a schedule with on/off time. Since it is Bluetooth connected to a mobile device, there is not remotely control. The upside with this type of connection is that when the Wi-Fi is down or not functioning, the bulb is still controllable with the app. Also, with the concerns about having too many devices connected to the internet, this smart bulb shouldn’t be a concern since it is only Bluetooth. Overall, I highly satisfied with this product, it is fast to set up, and the Halo Home app allows many features.

I love the technolgy connected to this light bulb. This bulb uses a conventional screw in base (E26 standard base) and is the equvilant of 60 watts giving off a variable light output as bright as 806 lumens. The light is a real energy saver only using 9.4 watts at full brightness. The lightbulb operates silently without any humming or buzzing noises or flickering. It is not stated on the packaging, but I have used this bulb outdoors in a light fixture and I love the ability to have the outside lights on a timer. I can just set it and forget it, so the lights go on and off on the schdule that I program. Through the free Eaton HaloHome app, you have the ability to connect wirelessly through Bluetooth to a smart device, such as a phone or tablet. The app enables you to set a light schdule, turn lights off or on, dim the light or even change the color range from a soft white to a warm white (2700K to 5000K). The package states no hub or bridge is required, however you will need a seperate bridge link, with wifi and internet (one per house) if you want to access and operate the system from outside of your home range. I think this would be very useful for someone with pets that is running late, to be able to turn the lights on for them. This bulb is manufactured by Eaton, a reputable electrical company well known in the commercial lighting market and comes with a 2 year warranty.

I must admit to being frustrated by smart bulbs and their set up process in the past. Quite often the need for making certain that your wifi system has a dual band router that supports a 2.4ghz connection, would make me want to pull my hair out after lord knows how many tries. The nice thing about these bulbs is the absolute EASE of setup! Now, while I fully admit that I already had two older wall plugs configured, so I didn't need to actually go through the whole set up process over again (times three). I needed the brightest bright white bulbs that I could find for my craft room, but finding lights/bulbs that worked however has been difficult. And that is where these bulbs step up - they are 805 lumens bright! each over my previous bulbs that were installed. They were supposed to be LED "bright white, 60w equivalent but the light that my old shop/room. Their light illumination was seriously lacking. But THESE bulbs - holy cow not only are they adjustable depending on how dim or bright that you want it. The light bulbs were up and running in less than 15 minutes . The Bulb goes into the light fixture. (ONE bulb at a time). Turn off the power to any items being used a to look att. Then you hit the plus sign on the app menu....wait while it confirms the presence of a bulb..t, and it blinks when it's done. I did this with all three bulbs planned for this ceiling fan, and one by one they were recognized, and online shining bright.

Halo 60W Equivalent A19 Dimmable Adjustable CCT (2700K-5000K) Smart Wireless LED Light Bulb in White by Home (1-Pack) A good product if you are looking to invest into smart wireless technology at your home or office. The lights can be controlled by your phone (Bluetooth) app and no internet is required. If you want to enable internet access then you need to have their hub. The bulb itself is dimmable and emits 800 lumens which is quite bright. With the app you can control the light temperature within a vast spectrum - 2700k to 5000k. If you are already invested in halo product line then might not be a bad buy.

I have Amazon Alexa and Google home, and I was interested in adding a voice controlled bulb. What caught my eye was on the front of the box it says "No Bridge or Hub required". So here we go. The bulb has 2D bar code that took me to the Halo web site, but the links to the apple/android apps were not active. The package also tells me to look for "Halo Home" app, which was easy enough to find in the Apple app store. After that I also found the "Halo Voice" App which I also loaded. Well I started by installing the "Halo Home" app and configuring the bulb, relatively easy, You can change the color temp from 2700k to 5000k (5 pre-sets) and change the brightness (dimming 0-100). The control works from about 50' away (the further away you are the longer it seems to take to detect the bulb (which it must do every time you load the app)). Now on to Alexa and Google, I go to the "Halo Voice" App, and it starts searching for my Voice devices, knowing I've not configured any yet, I tell it what what Wi-Fi to use, and it asks about "Halo Voice Devices", now I'm lost the "Halo Home" app does not offers where to add a voice device/setup. I select help, it attempts to take me to www.halohomesupport.eaton.com - this is wrong it should be: halohomesupport.eaton.com; once there the first topic is Smart Internet Access Bridge, I decide to follow this link, it tells me how to set to the bridge, and at the bottom it tell me how to connect to Alexa and Google via the bridge for Voice Support. I go back to the box, and read more carefully on the back; it does say that Voice control requires the Halo Home Smart Internet Access Bridge. So, I guess technically then the front of the box says no Bridge or Hub required, well if you only use their "Halo Home" app right, but for full Smart Bulb Support via Google or Alexa you need their Smart Bridge - so be forewarned. For a Smart bulb at this price, I guess I expected more, and the need for a bridge came as a surprise. At the same price point there are a lot of good RGBW bulbs (that can be changed to any color in the rainbow), many have wi-fi control so they don't need another bridge. So in the end I could not use this bulb over the internet without their Bridge, same for voice control. I can't recommend this bulb at this price point for a smart home (UNLESS you are starting from scratch and plan to use a lot of the Halo/Eaton products), but they do have a growing range of products.

HALO 60W EQUIVALENT A19 DIMMABLE ADJUSTABLE CCT (2700K-5000K) SMART WIRELESS LED LIGHT BULB IN WHITE BY HOME (4-PACK) is decently "smart" bulb. Usually the wireless light bulbs means connecting to internet, but not this one. this one is connected via bluetooth. so u need to close to it to operate. basically like having a remote. that's it. the app is intuitive in setup, but the icons for rest of the stuff is not so much. I like the way these lights turn from warm light to day light n the whole range of spectrum in between but i don't know the utility of it though. unless i keep moving these bulbs from one place to another. i usually have warm lights upstairs and day light downstairs The dimming feature is awesome too

I chose the Halo 60w Equivalent A19 dimmable Smart Wii fi led lightbulb in white in the 4 pack, for the ease of programing. You do have to have a bridge to make this work, I realized this after reading the instructions. Its nice to be able to dim the lights when I am rocking my grandkids to sleep. Also comes in handy if you wake up and need light, no more bumped knees or stubbed toes. I think these will make good Christmas presents for my kids.

The Halo 60W Equivalent A19 Dimmable Adjustable CCT (2700K-5000K) Smart Wireless LED Light Bulb in White by Home (4-Pack) is a great product. The bulbs arrived undamaged and the Halo app is easy to download and navigate to control the bulbs. I have installed (1) in a lamp in our bedroom and (1) in our lamp in the living room. Love being able to turn on a light from our garage when arriving home from a trip or just sitting in one room and being able to turn on a light in another part of the house. Halo has outdone their selves in this great product. And there are 5 different light setting to chose from-soft white up to day light!!!

The Eaton Halo LED bluetooth light bulbs are really fantastic. The features that are packed in this LED light bulb are amazing. I ordered these because of the scheduling capabilities for when I'm out of town. The app is simple to use and it takes 5 minutes to set a bulb up without reading the instructions:) The big feature I wasn't aware that I would love is the dimming capability and the choice of what type of light (warm to cool) that can be chosen. The warmth of light is similar to dimming so you have infinite setting to chose from. There are rooms where daylight is needed and where very warm is better. These give you the choice and you can change them easily with the app. The only part I haven't tried is tying these into a special hub to allow remote control when not at home. That to me would be the best linking it into wifi. The packing says it supports the big name home assistant platforms so if you are already using one it might be wifi compatible. I'm very happy with the product and highly recommend it.

I could get it to work with the Halohome app but I could not get Alexa to recognize it. I have other bulbs that work fine with Alexa and I really don't want to have to pick up my phone, open an app, let it find it's connection to the light just to turn it on or off. It is nice being able to adjust the color from a yellow to bright white, but I need Alexa to control it. There is mention of an internet access bridge in the app that's needed for connecting it to Alexa, but checking reviews of their recommended bridge they are unreliable at best and cost between $35 and $50. Had I known something else was required I would not have ordered it.

I especially like the ability to set the color temperature from 2700K all the way up to 5000K available by the use of a Bluetooth compatible device. Dimming, setting schedules, grouping of multiple devices, scenes, and a countdown timer (choose on, off, flash with a countdown from 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes) are all functions that can be programmed using the Halo Home App through a Bluetooth connection. However, if you are looking for a product that can be accessed remotely through a local WiFi network (i.e. controlling a light while on vacation) this product is not what you need. This product is controlled through a Bluetooth connection which requires close proximity of the product and the Bluetooth device. Still, it’s a recommended product if the functionality is appropriate for you needs.
