I'm not sure when or how long it will be before the manufacturers address this problem of the fixture not fitting tight against the sheetrock it just seems to get worse and worse. This time I bought a 6 pack box of lights and not 1 of them fits tight without gaps. In a completely brand new room it's the only thing that looks bad. And it really stands out. And now I've got to sell this to the client.

I purchased 18 of these lights for finishing my basement. The install was straightforward and I'm happy with the light overall. However you get what you pay for. When turning the lights on or off, there are popping sounds for a minute (I assume it is the plastic frames expanding/contracting as each light warms up/cools down). I highly recommend spending the extra money for the HLB6 model with the metal frame.

Very bright. 3 different settings

I’ve always wanted recess lighting. These are low profile and fit even if there is a beam right above it. Very easy to set up. Three different colors to choose from to set them. The photo is setting number 2. I can not stand yellow lighting so I’m glad I could choose from there colors

These lights are great and have used them throughout my house renovation. You need to know electrical and have a good plan for placement before you have the sheetrock up. Can be used for renovations when sheetrock is already up but the size and location must be matched. Only downside is that there are only 3 light change settings with this model vs other models but by no means should that be a deal breaker. Love these things.

Good brand, easy use, i wish if it was 1/4 thick for 1/4 soffit board with a 2x4 on too, rhat would of been perfect

Super easy to install and to wire a number of them on one circuit. Works great with Dimmer switches. It's worth spending that bit more for the Halo quality.

We put 5 of these in our living room with dimmable wifi switches and they’ve been an amazing addition!

This is a whole new ball game. Yesterday's installation was simple. Turn off power at the breaker or fuse, not the switch (always first). Remove the old fixture if there is one or cut the hole using the included template. This part is a real pain! Once the old antique is gone, mount the tiny (compared to what you probably just removed) electrical connection box. Pop open the box with a flip of the lid. Here's one thing they missed. You'll need to provide your own strain relief fitting. Run your cable into the box and connect three wires. Remember to set your choice on the color temperature here. Close the box. Done above the drywall. Now connect the keyed connector and snap the fixture in place! Power back on. Test. So easy. Bright and good-looking. Bonus: saves energy and won't get as hot as incandescent.

Super easy to install. Really like the selectable light temperature option. I replaced 5 older can style soffit lights with these. It took about half an hour to change all five out including the time it took to remove my old ones

I purchased 18 of these for a basement I am finishing. I love the fact that you can choose what color temp you want for your lighting needs. These are super simple to install. The only thing I do not like about this light verses others, is you have to wire nut each wire instead of plugging them in to the new modern push in connectors. Just takes more time to install, especially 18 of them. But, for the price on these, they're worth it.

Just installed so really can't comment on longevity. Installation was a snap and you don't have to know much about home repair. You will need to cut a 6 inch hole and have a power source. No mounting boxes or cans to deal with. This light fit all 3 of my needs: dimmable, outdoor rated and easy install.

I really like these Halo recess light kits. I built a hanging loft bed for my 10 year old daughter and she wanted lighting underneath but I didn't have a lot of space as the bed was framed with 2x4's. These canless recessed led lights were the perfect solution. I installed (2) underneath the bed and wired them to a dimmer switch. They work flawlessly. My daughter loves the lights and the fact that she now has a lit play area under her bed. Great quality and a great price...

Super easy to install looks Great. You have wide variety of Kelvin degrees to pick the right look for your home. I like that the fact that it is wet rated. You can install over a shower in the ceiling.

We purchased 23 of these and started installing them. After installing 4 without issue, the 5th one broke when I depressed the spring to install. This caused me to inspect the others i had yet to install and i found more then half were cracked where the spring mounts to the plastic as if the were over tightened at the factory. These were previously unopened. Im very disappointed and dissatisfied as now i have to take hours to go return them and find something else that will work. I suppose its typical for a product not made in the USA. :-(

we asked our electrician to put lights in our living room because it is so dark. He chose these lights for our living room. Our living room has low ceiling It is perfect for our living room, so bright! We are happy with these lights.

Perfect to my Project

Like the adjustable light color. Like the "IC" (insulation contact) fixture that can go anywhere you can find a switch-leg wire. Do not like that you run wire into provided junction box with only knockouts in thin metal. Good electricians know that it's a no-no to run romex wire, unsecured, into a sharp, metal box opening. I bought separate connectors. All good can light junction boxes have built-in wire securing features, this product does not. Fortunately, I could access the lights from the top in my attic. What I saw was light and thus air flow. After fighting back the blown-in insulation, I was able to "box" in the area above the lights with foam board and spray foam (Great Stuff). OK, these are IC, suitable for insulation contact, but proper insulation includes foaming of all significant air gaps, no matter what your existing insulation. If you already have spray foam in your attic, you will not enjoy carving out space for these fixtures from below, and you will most likely breach it. Ease of installation is poor, if you want it done best for insulation and safety, good, if you don't care. In hindsight, I would have used cans for my application. These are a nice concept, just not perfected yet.

This model was fine until the clip broked from thr platic hole. My lights were up for at least one month.

I was replacing recessed can lighting in my home from the late 70s and these are a major upgrade. It was impossible to find current lights to fit the existing holes as the 4 inch were too small and the 6 inch were too large. I purchased the 6 inch and cut the hole slightly larger than existing using the template and drywall saw. Put the lights in the holes and went up in the attic and screwed the JBox/Driver box to the beam and wired them to the existing power supply. Turned the breaker back on and set the color temperature to our preference. Took about an hour total from gathering tools needed to clean up to do 2. Very simple to do and solid upgrade.

Brand New and White control box is not working. Quality control is lacking wasting my time trouble shooting. Should have known better than to buy these.
