I like it. I strung some lights underneath and a solar panel on top which makes it pretty awesome to sit under in the evenings. It's solid, seems to have some mini rain gutters that redirect most water to the corners. The pieces all aligned together without any issue.
It comes in a relatively small but very heavy box. It's impossible to carry, so it's best to have the Home Depot staff slide it onto the back of a truck and unpack it piece by piece from the tailgate. This could be built in a long day, I went slow over 3. The only advice I have for others is to screw in the bolts by finger as far as you can and use the included allen wrench to tighten it up. I tried to cheat and put the included bit in a drill but if it ever goes in a little crooked the bolt will jam and the drill will trash the bolt. I had to employ a screw remover to redo a few of them (spares are supplied). The netting is a decent perk. I don't think it's bug proof on the top and bottom edges but probably good enough with a mosquito coil if they get bad outside.
It took my cousin and a family friend approximately 5 hours to put it together and they both work in the construction industry. It is simply BEAUTIFUL! Well designed and super sturdy. It is quite heavy so make sure the place you put it together is where you want it to stay. I highly recommend this gazebo. I can't speak for the long term since I've only had it for a weekend but I just love it!
Fantastic gazebo installed on an elevated composite deck
Exactly what we wanted to add a little shade on our deck. installed this on an elevated composite deck. Half of each posts were secured into joists using 3/8" x 2.5" lag screws, the others using 5/16" x 2" lags into deck flooring. Assembly went together like clock work. Every hole was perfectly aligned and the overall quality of the product exceeded my expectations. Definitely a two person job so make sure you have a helper. I did use an impact driver on its lowest setting and it was perfect for speeding up the process.
I searched everywhere last year for a gazebo and we found this one on a random cart at a local Home Depot. Everyone was otherwise out of stock! This had great reviews so we went with jt. I put it together with my husband over 2 days, and had a neighbor help us with the roof. The instructions were fantastic and easy to follow.
We live in Central New York, and it can get pretty windy and snowy here. It probably was not necessary but I did put bags of sand in each post for some added stability because we did not attach it to our deck. The structure is very sturdy!!
It was fabulous last summer. We bought a patio fan for the center of it, and then changed it out to a hanging heater for the fall to extend our use. I used the walls for our pop up canopy and strong magnets to create some privacy, block sun and keep rain out.. For the winter we got a cover for it so we could store the furniture and summer things. It held up great. I'm looking forward to taking the winter cover off and using it again very soon!
The only thing I'd change is that the mosquito netting does not go all the way to the top and bugs can still get in. I fixed this by making my own screen soffits from heavy duty screening and attached them with the same strong magnets I used on the canopy walls.
Bought this gazebo based on all the high reviews. The packaging was nice and was inside a protective frame. The nuts, bolts, and screws were organized as well. The only real challenge was the roof which you will need 2 people. The kit came with hardware to stake it into the ground, but nothing for attaching to a wooden deck. Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend this as everyone else already had.
