Thank you for your review. The receiver is designed to fit in most downrod style canopies. When installing the receiver, it is important to check that the ball of the downrod is seated properly in the mounting bracket so that the slot of the ball is seated on the tab on the inner ring of the mounting bracket. If the ball is not seated properly, the space for the receiver will be decreased. The receiver should fit snuggly in the mounting bracket to ensure it does not move during operation.

Thank you for your review. If the remote is turning off by itself, you may need to change the dip switch settings in the remote and receiver. This would change the frequency of the remote. Most issues of this nature are caused by the receiver receiving an interfering signal from another device in the area.
