Quality wall wash light is brighter than expected. For a solar light, I’m extremely impressed with how bright this light is. The construction quality is mostly metal and solid with the lone exception being the mount for the solar panel, which seems a little flimsy, but is functional. We’re using this to uplift a tree and wash the garage wall in our yard. Check out the pictures for the impressive results.

The Hampton Bay Solar Black Outdoor Integrated LED Landscape Wall Wash Spot Light is a neat light to add to your landscape décor. First off the light came with a broken plastic knob on the adjustment bolt. The unit was packaged well and there were not any broken pieces in the box or damage to the box so the damage was done before packaging. It does not effect the function of the light. The light housing and stake itself is made from aluminum so it is durable. The solar panel housing is plastic but it is pretty light so it should hold up. The light is adjustable so it can be setup within a 1 foot of a wall. I used it to light up deer statues in my backyard. Nice.

I was anxious to try this 12 LED light Hampton Bay Solar wall wash light. It appeared to be well made at first glance, the light head is aluminum and the 6" ground stake is also metal. The lamp attaches to the separate solar panel with a 6-foot cord. It runs dusk to dawn if fully charged and has a button on the back for Off and Auto. However, the solar panel is too heavy for the flimsy 4" plastic stake. When I placed the solar panel onto the post in the ground, the thin plastic post easily snapped off the bottom of the panel which left a large hole with the battery exposed. Then the plastic adjusting knob on the lamp broke off and my glue did not work to keep it together. Since the bottom of the solar panel has a hole exposing the battery now, I don't think it will last long with the outside moisture. I have had many Hampton Bay solar lights before but this one did not impress me.

Very simple to install and a nice introductory piece if you want to dip your toes in the exterior lumination world without having to install an expensive transformer and run low voltage wiring everywhere. The solar panel unit acts as battery, battery charger, and light sensor. If the solar panel unit can no longer see the sun it will switch on the light. The light output is not too bad, although I wish it was just a touch more powerful. One or two more LEDs is all they would have needed to make the light output perfect.

This is an interesting long solar light. The spotlight is intended to illuminate walls and can be installed less than a foot away. It is made of cast aluminum with black coating to ensure long-lasting use and weather resistance. Its lens is made of frosted plastic lens for optimal and soft lighting LED bullbs provide a bright 120-Lumens light with 3000K output soft white color. 2-year warranty Overall, this is a nice solar light with a unique linear design. It is meant to illuminate walls and can be installed in a close proximity. Its light is not very bright but that is typical for solar lights.

Not made for "ditsy blondes"! This Hampton Bay Solar light would be great had I read the instructions more carefully. So my fault that the stake cracked and broke off the back of the solar panel. Even so, the LED light fixture does the job pretty well. I would say it gives off a fair amount of very soft light, only about 3 feet up our brick wall, but it looks nice. My advice to put the ground stake in the dirt first, then mount the upper stake, then the panel, as the instructions state.

Perfect attractive warm white LED solar up lighting for any place you need it. This was simple to get up and running. Just attach included plastic stakes and allow solar panel to charge in full sun. Then turn the auto button on. This unit is 3000 Lumens, and casts a nice warm light. The solar panel measures 7.5 by 8.5 inches. There is a add on stake that makes the entire stake 11 inches in length on the solar panel. The 8 in stake on the light bar is attached and there is a large rotating knob to adjust the direction of the light and tightens well to hold that position. The light bar measures approx 3 inches by 18 inches in width and is made of black metal construction. The cord between the solar panel and the flood light is approx 6 ft. Frosted ribbed lens. Automatically turns on at dusk. Rechargeable battery included., with a 2 yr warranty. A word of caution: the stake on the solar panel is not a tight fit and easily comes off the solar panel. i would recommend gluing the stake to the solar panel. Approx run time is 8 hrs.

The Hampton Bay Solar Black Outdoor Integrated LED Landscape Wall Wash Spot Light gives me just the look I wanted without the hassle of running wiring. The aluminum body feels well-made and the overall impression is that this is a quality product that should provide many years of use. I have path lights bordering my landscaping but the front of my house still looks very dark. This light provides just enough of a glow to the wall that it immediately makes the house look safer and more inviting. My beds are not very deep and having the ability to place this light fixture as close as one foot from the house was a huge plus. I have several windows nearby and the soft 120 lumens is not at all intrusive. The area where I wanted this fixture is shaded in the late afternoon by two large trees so I was concerned about how well solar power would work. The solar panel is very efficient and I’ve had no problem with getting a full charge.

So I am mixed on this Hampton Bay Wall Wash spot, It seems to be made very well and the solar panel is quite large. I know the box on the back gives you a scale of what the light will look like, this is right at the top of the amber scale but it would be nice to have it a little brighter. I guess you can't ask much more from a solar unit. Also, I have some other low voltage lights in that area which could take away from the brightness of this fixture. I would love this fixture in a low voltage and then it would probably be where I would like it. That is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. As for operating it, really easy, push button at the back of the solar panel turns it off and on. Adjustments are easy and quick. I let the solar panel sit out in the sun for a few days to get fully charged as you don't know how long its been in the box. It's rated at 8 hours of light, not bad for a solar unit this large. We have a little wall in our garden and I installed it their. If you have a wall that you would like lite up and not a lot of other lights in the area, this could do the trick for you.

This solar light with separate solar panel is an excellent option when you want to 'splash' the front of your house with a soft glow light or if you want to under light your bushes but haven't been able to previously because light from the sun obviously doesn't make it to the shadows under bushes. With this light from Hampton Bay you can place the actual light wherever you want it, then place the solar panel in an optimum place for capturing sunlight. For my purposes I wanted a soft light to moderately illuminate the front of my house. This is the time of the year for Christmas wreathes and other decorations, so I wanted those lit up so they could be seen better. This light manages that job nicely. Now, I don't want you to get the wrong idea. They call this light a 'wash' flood light so think of it more of something that throws a soft blanket of light over a broad area (like the front of your house) as opposed to very bright multiple 200 watts 'spot' lights which are more tightly beamed. Also keep in mind that this light is rated at 120 lumens and considered a warm light at 3000K. Again, think in terms of a blanket of soft light instead of a harsh tight highlighting spot light. They promise you about 8 hours of this broad light and from my first three nights of testing that turned out to be about correct. After about 8 hours the light begins to fade as the battery life becomes exhausted. Where I live it gets dark around 5 in the Winter, so figure this will get your house illuminated until around midnight or so. That will be obviously better in the Summer when we get more light and less dark. Also note that this light comes on at dusk automatically and burns continuously unlike a security light that has a motion sensor that kicks it on. In other words, you're getting 8 CONTINUOUS hours of light from this unit. That's pretty good in the solar world. Overall for me it works perfectly. I had 3 solar spot lights illuminating my house front and this replaced them all with a broader cast softer light, which was what I wanted. Think in terms of a blanket of light instead of a beam. If a blanket is what you're looking for, this is a good option for you. Also think in terms of a lower amount of light. If your thinking security light or something that you need to be very bright, there are other options for those purposes. And always remember that solar lights are a breeze to put in, easy as pie to move should you want them somewhere else later, and don't cost a nickle to install.

The light works well for illuminating the lower branches of our oak tree however the stake for the solar panel is too weak for the size of the panel. Within a day of placing it in the ground, the spike on the support stake appeared to bend/wilt in the sun and the plastic support tube split on its seam. As a result, we have the solar panel propped up with a stone to make sure it catches the sun properly. We already have a number of Hampton Bay solar lights and we were really impressed with their solar flag light which illuminates our Stars and Stripes every night. We decided to try this wall wash light since it is about 18” wide and we’ve been looking for a solution to illuminate an oak tree in our front yard at night. The light works well and outputs 120 lumens (about 8 Watts on a traditional incandescent bulb). It is a soft light and the lens on the lamp is frosted to further diffuse the LED lights. It will remain illuminated for around 8 hours on a full charge. The solar panel has a 6’ long power cord allowing it to be placed some distance from the solar light to make sure it captures maximum sunshine. When the lamp is placed into the ground, it sits around 12” high. I would have rated this higher than a 3 if the support stake was a little better engineered and hadn’t failed so soon after installing it. I plan to contact Hampton Bay for a replacement stake since the lamp is covered by a 2 year warranty.

I have many areas on our property this Solar Black Outdoor Integrated LED Landscape Wall Wash Spot Light looks fantastic at. Originally, I wanted to set it up on my front wall behind a bench illuminating the wall behind it. But when setting it up to highlight our water fountain display we choose this to be the perfect spot for us. And the fact is if we change our mind at a later date it is so easy to move from one spot to another. Solar power is so great that it does not need to be restricted to an area where there is an outdoor receptacle. Hampton Bay you have done it again. A fantastic product. We simple love it. I am sure anyone wanting to illuminate a wall or a display such as what we did will love this product too. Two thumbs up.

The amount of sunlight that hits the solar panels determines how efficiently it'll perform. Ensure nothing obstructs the UV rays significantly.

Actually, it does meet my expectation; however I have purchased them on my local Homedepot for $15.99min Greenfield, IN 46140. I was advised to contact the customer service 1-800 number because I went to have an adjustment, but they didn’t have them on the shelf any longer. That is when I was referred the 1-800but I completely forgot to do it and missed out. I bought two on line for $39. dollars each or so. Other than that, they met my expectation. I love them. They add light in the dark outside my house. Thank you for your time
