A Hampton Bay 16 inch White Square Puff Light fixture is perfect for lighting the work area in my music room. Whether I am tooling up a guitar or trying to read faded lead music sheets, these old eyes need lots of good, steady light rays bouncing around. The fixture comes assembled with necessary wiring connectors. All I had to do was remove it from the box, take down the old porcelain socket with 100 watt incandescent lamp, disconnect the old wires and connect them to the new fixture wires. The old fixture did not use a ground but, the metal octagon box was grounded so I connected the green wire from the Puff Light to the screw that secured the ground conductor. I was able to use the same mounting screws so I slipped the fixture over them and gave it a partial rotation to square it with the walls of the room. All that was left was to insert the crack resistant, white, plastic diffuser and push in the retaining clips—the job is done. When I flipped the light switch, the room and work area lit up like brightness had been poured all over it. “Let there be light! And there was light. I guess I’ll be getting a dimmer switch for when I don’t need so much light. (The Puff Light works with dimmers, you know.) Now, this new fixture has multi-LED’s nested all in it so, I won’t be needin’ any light bulbs. With the Hampton Bay 16 inch White Square Puff Light fixture to be installed…electricians have it eeeeeasy.
